What's fascinating and infuriating to me is that in the Washington Post's article, (written by Samantha Schmidt, a woman, I might add) the author never actually NAMES the man's girlfriend, the one who engineered and sent the fake rejection letter. She's always referred to as "the girlfriend" or "his girlfriend".

So I guess when women are the victims of sexual assault or rape, their names and reputations are protected in the public media, AND when women commit, are charged with AND convicted of a premeditated crime their names and reputations are protected in the public media.

If a man did this to his girlfriend to keep her from moving to a far away school, his name would be plastered all over the media for his future potential employers to google for all time.

She never responded to the lawsuit he filed against her and lost by default. The Washington Post could not locate her for comment.

Is he ever going to get that money?
