My boyfriend's gone through complete hell the past six years. He's about to give up. I don't blame him. It's a PAS situation and the judge refuses to do anything.

A family friend lost custody of his kid even though the mom was a psycho drug addict. She was "reforming" (total BS, she just wanted to rip him for child support) and so got the kid. He had a nice stable job, she didn't. He was clean and sober, she wasn't. But she had the uterus, so she got the kid. She proceeded to raise the kid to think that his father hated him and had abused her and was a horrible human being... thankfully the kid got to meet his dad and eventually learned what a cuntaloupe his mom was, but still. So many years wasted. :(

Society expects little more of fathers than to be wallets for the moms. It's depressing. Oh no, kids need their moms more than their dads....

Kids need stable sane and loving parents or just one parent. Gender should have nothing to do with it.

... in other news, I'm sympathetic, and I'm sure you just feel the need to vent, but there's really nothing of value in this post.
