We're well aware that the law no longer protects men in any way, shape or form. For example accusing the deceased man of attempting to rape or attempting domestic violence (which by definition only women can be victims of, and men can only be perpetrators not victims) justifies killing the man 'in self defense'. No evidence required.

Why even bother pretending it's a crime to abuse or murder men anyway? Why require the always-accepted excuses like "it was attempted rape" or "it was domestic violence" or "i can't be bothered with divorce proceedings"? Why not just make it official and institute "he was male" or "he had a penis" as legal justification for killing? Like so:

Judge "You are accused of the premeditated murder of your husband. how do you plead?"

Accused "the deceased was a man"

Judge "case dismissed"

I think we should await the outcome of the trial.

Women who kill their husbands will always use the battered women defence. It's just a case of if it gets listened to or not that matters. To be honest, in this case it doesn't even sound like she claimed to be battered. She was basically just saying, "My husband wasn't very nice to me, so I killed him".

I know this is pure speculation, but how likely is it that she was the victim of abuse when she felt perfectly comfortable and happy in bullying him about his internet habits?

The fact is, any lawyer who has a woman like her as a client is going to encourage them to claim abuse as a defence.
