A common source of police false rape complaints (maybe even most common) is to explain infidelity. A lot probably start with reporting to bf, and then bf pressuring her to go to police.

given that 50% of college age rape complaints and 43% of general rape complaints are false , statistically, if your gf tells you she was raped, in a way to would excuse her for something, she is more likely than not lying to you
