An overwhelming majority of COVID-19 deaths globally were of men but mainstream media here depicts women as the biggest victims of this pandemic. No awareness about how men are more susceptible to die from this virus. I hate this hypocrisy.

It's all politics. Maybe even the existence of the virus itself. Sounds evil, probably is, but I guess you can call it an act of desperation, as we were facing huge challenges anyways. The economic system was about to crash already before the virus, we had several war zones worldwide, the climate change is probably very real and god knows what scientists and secret services are able to predict on top of it. Even Stephen Hawking gave us maybe 100 more years.
