So for those who don't know, Jesse Williams, an actor from Grey's Anatomy, is performing in a play. The play requires him to do a nude scene. The theater it was shown in told audience members to put away their phones. Someone decided to record / photograph the nude scene and place it on the interent. The articles down playing the incident, you could looke for. I'm linking a couple of the others.

"We condemn in the strongest possible terms the creation and distribution of photographs and videos of our members during a nude scene," said Kate Shindle, president of Actors' Equity Association. "As actors, we regularly agree to be vulnerable onstage in order to tell difficult and challenging stories. This does not mean that we agree to have those vulnerable moments widely shared by anyone who feels like sneaking a recording device into the theater."

The statement noted that the person who filmed the Grey's Anatomy alum, 40, and other actors on stage did so "without their consent" and condemns the audience member for "explicitly violating the theater's prohibition on recording and distribution."

There's a question in my mind how much effort Second Stage will put into having the videos / pictures removed. Are they just requesting people do it or are they going to file DCMAs. It's also disappointing that there seems to be little appetite for holding the villian criminally and civilly liable. They did call it out.
