From what I remember reading on TRP, TRP was founded because they thought Seduction had a bad rap with the rest of Reddit, and they thought they could escape that reputation by branching off.

Imo r/seduction looks like a poor resource for pua material. I'm not sure what the good resources are at this point, but I read a few pua manuals years ago and they were really interesting.

Some commenters have said they view r/seduction as watered down trp. I personally have the opposite view, not that trp is watered down version of another subreddit, but watered down/altered pua info in general. Some of the concepts are copied and pasted from pua, others are altered or emphasized differently for various reasons. One thing that makes more sense to me about trp is increasing your social value through actually being someone, as opposed to using the social equivalent of smoke and mirrors to seem like you have high social value without actually having any. I'm sure both methods absolutely can work, and the latter could be necessary until you get the former, which takes time.

One thing that made more sense to me about pua is that it does not make significant attempts to explain why social dynamics are what they are. Iirc Neil Strauss even says in the game that pua is a superficial art, unconcerned with the "why" so long as the "how" is working. It blows my mind how stubbornly insistent some trp are about evo psych shit, when even if they did convince the entire world of this it would not get them laid, improve their relationship/s, or even Increase their social value in any way.

A final thought on trp vs pua. Both criticize contemporary, mainstream dating advice as overly vague, useless platitudes and I'd agree. However, the pua stuff I've read seems to detail specifics really well, and in comparison trp seems vague to me.

/r/seduction often gives bad advice, sometimes they give ok advice. But overall, /r/seduction is just a watered down version of /r/theredpill TRP is superior to seddit in every way possible because it answers both the "how" and the "why"

r/Seduction is a good resource, and I still look at it sometimes. but its full of field reports of noobs saying "look guys, I got a k-close!". Meaning they kissed a girl. I'm not going to read a 1000 word essay on how you kissed a girl. Another big portion of seduction is "top 10 tips to overcome approach anxiety", or whatever else. A lot of it feels cheap and gimmicky. And because r/seduction is a politically correct subreddit, they are watered down.

r/theredpill doesn't give a shit about politically correct. They advocate dread game, treating women like children, and emulating psychopathic behaviors. Of course there's some questionable conclusions at TRP, but the fact that they don't water down at all means that you can find a lot of extremely potent advice that you couldn't find elsewhere.

I used to be a subscriber and found it before TRP. If you're smart and have enough experience in PUA, you can usually find some good advice in there. But you have to distill it from the rest of the shitty posts there. I unsubscribed when the good posts and comments started getting watered down by idiots in High School and College who just drowned the sub in bullshit.

Seriously, though PUA and TRP works in HS and College, those guys have little to no experience and should keep their mouths shut instead of giving out advice.

Seriously, I don't want advice from guys getting their first kiss. I want to talk with guys who are fucking two chicks on the same night. The guys that can fuck 4 different girls a week. The guys that can pull off a perfect week.

Seddit USED to have a few of those. It doesn't anymore. So I left. It has nothing left to teach me, however TRP still teaches me things every now and again.

Heard of it often but don't have time to explore.

Honestly, I waste enough time on tbp/trp/ppd and I find trp to be more interesting than seddit.

Never been to seddit, I tried PUA long before I discovered reddit and TRP and that didn't work for me. PUA try to profit off of weak men and that rubs me the wrong way. There is no "pandoras box" which was a pretty common PUA term when I tried it.

I've found that trying to mold myself as being the most desirable man possible is the better way. I can get away with so much more by simply being desirable. TRP describes this as "a woman wouldn't say no to Brad Pitt or Channing Tatum". Why should they be so lucky? I've always wanted people to talk about me that way. TRP helped me know it was possible and I don't have to use tricks to do so. I simply value myself and better myself and it's possible.

I have not visited that sub actually. I don't think I feel a need to, considering I'm someone on TRP that isn't really interested in spinning plates. It's either LTRing with someone worth my time or choosing MGTOW.
