So, I just started a new job a few weeks ago. I love it; it's part time, I have great benefits for me and SO, I have plenty of time to do housework etc. I'm the only female in my age group that's not single. This doesn't bother me really, but I honestly feel alone sometimes. Just the other day, a girl the same as me was talking about how she broke up with guy1 for guy2 because he was cuter, and dressed better but she was still looking for someone better. I wasn't participating in the conversation. And yet, another lady, 35 years or so old, told her "good girl and proceeded to look down her nose at me and say 25 is too young to settle down

I really didn't realize how different our views are until today. I mean, if a guy does one thing these girls don't like? Dumped. There is no idiosyncrasy too small to be tolerated. I don't know if I should stop talking about my SO? I don't think I talk about him a lot, but maybe I do? He's always got some new project or thing he wants to do. I think it's cute, so I talk about it. I've learned to find little things he does less bothersome or endearing (it really is cute when he reminds me the oven is hot after I've cooked something). I'm perfectly content working part time so I can spend more time at home, and I don't really think it's necessary for me to go back to school. My SO is great; he takes care of me and I take care of him. I find more fulfillment in that than anything else; us, being happy together and feeling like I do my part to make things easier for him.

Anyways. In my musings while doing some stuff around the house, it occurred to me that the women I work with will probably never really be happy because they can't be happy with what they have. I feel like that must be one of the cores of RPW; being happy with what you have, and appreciating it.

TL;DR: TIL trying to be a red pill lady has helped me be a happier person and I didn't even know it. I'm not sure if this a goal of rpw, but it's a notable and worthy side affect, at least. Especially when you see how unhappy/unsatisfied other people seem to be.
