Hello RPW,

I have been with my boyfriend for around 1.5 years, both 27 and I'm in love with him. I am new to RPW and have been reading up about it for the past few weeks, after reading a book by Laura Doyle which is what led me here.

I am starting to think about my relationship with my SO, and am wondering if you would consider this to be a good relationship, or what should I do, as right now I am happy with him but worried that longterm we are not suitable.

A few of the good points that I love my boyfriend for:

-He is very loyal and devoted to me
-He's handsome and I'm attracted to him, I love looking at his face and he has such kind eyes
-We laugh together and I can be goofy around him
-When I was sick last week he stayed up with me and helped me look for aspirins around the flat
-He makes time for me, has a stable job, and is just a really nice and good guy

Some things that worry me a little:

-Lives with his mum even though he earns more than me. His dad moved to the other side of the world when he was 2 and his mum spoils him and treats him like a child, doing everything for him at home, even grocery shopping and cooking.
- I love doing art, volunteering, going to exhibitions, cinema, events, and he will come with me but in his spare time he doesn't have any interests other than Fifa.
-He's diagnosed as on the spectrum of mild autism, and he's in his own world a lot. He reads books on how to connect with people, and I admire that he wants to grow, but it can be hard to connect with him on basic things sometimes. He had to do an IQ test for a job interview and his score was around 90, whereas mine is above average.
-He is a bit like a child, not very manly despite being very tall. He forgets to do things like brush his teeth and he picks his nose, or puts his hands down his underwear and keeps them there until I tell him it makes me feel uncomfortable.
-He's put on weight and now has a belly and his neck is not defined. He drinks beer like water on the weekends and eats lots of sweets when we're together even though I drink very little and don't eat sweets.
-My grandma and aunt who I admire and respect, told me separately that he is nice but is flat compared to me as he doesn't really do much, and that I will be feeling alone and unfulfilled in a couple of years or when we have kids. I don't like talking about this with my family but they willingly told me.

I have been thinking sometimes about this, and I am in love with him but do agree he is not very manly and he doesn't bring out the best of my femininity, but more of my motherly side. Will I regret staying with someone who is like this? Any advice is appreciated... thank you.
