It's womanese. They both know the score-that she met a guy and instantly knew she wanted to fuck him- but they won't say it that bluntly in a public setting. It's not out of fear of the other one slut shaming; it's more about their paranioa of being overheard and percieved by others as sluts. If they'd been at one of their apartments with no one else around, she would have been telling her friend whether or not the guy was circumsized.

Save Face.

Women have rationalized getting fucked and chucked so much that the Twat Echo Chamber has (errantly) accepted these 'mistakes' as intentional. With a critical mass of women covering up for a pump/dump with "Yeah, all I wanted was sex with Tyler, tee-hee" (followed by crying in the bathroom in secret), both the female speaker and female listener eventually absorb the justification as fact.

Biologically, woman's minds aren't suited to being in a different guy's bed every night. They crave an LTR with an alpha; they try to fast forward things to get just that. When they are inevitably dumped and alpha won't return her texts, it's rationalization time. With millions of women falling for the same trap, a given woman hears this excuse ("all i wanted was sex") from three of her friends in any given month. They can't all be wrong, can they?

When it comes to women, yes...yes, they can.

I like this answer best, as social acceptance is the high water mark for woman. Nonetheless, it is ironic from TRP perspective that she frames the interaction with her friend as a choice, rather than a manipulation.

You are talking about the facts and they are talking about emotions. You two aren't speaking the same language. They care more about what they felt happened than what happened.

To you the emotions were irrelevant details that could be left out (see above). To them the facts you listed were only said as necessary to share their feelings surrounding the situation (actually in their view, the center of the situation).

So to answer your question, it has nothing to do with the hamster, irony, or saving face. What she experienced were emotions with the skater guy, and she wanted to connect with her friend emotionally at the coffee shop. To do that she told the emotional story to her friend. They have now bonded over this and are closer friends. In the future the friend will convey an emotional story as a signal that they are in fact close friends still.

It could also be that they're out of the closet promiscuous, and these were just "ironic" euphemisms they used so they could laugh at themselves or something.
