Shit Tests: A disrespectful tone or attitude. An unreasonable request to test your compliance and your "alpha" level. Proper response: Agree and Amplify, Nuke, refuse to take seriously and remain emotionally unfazed.

Shit Tests come from a place of disrespect, annoyance or irritation and are usually sharp and curt. They can be playful, especially early on with a girl or they can be deadly serious tests of your frame.

Shit Test Examples don't translate to the printed word very well. Think of any whiny, bitchy, nasty, challenging, unpleasant, disagreeable comment from a woman and assume it is a Shit Test especially if directed at you. Hell, you are safe assuming that ANYTHING a woman says is a shit test.

Comfort Tests: An often emotional and flailing about test to determine if you 'love' her and will comfort her with your masculine presence when necessary. Are you her rock? They come from a place of desperation and pain and are usually pleading and begging. Proper response: Take her in your arms, give her some of your masculine energy and calm, and don't let go until she is reassured that everything is going to be all right.

There's no difference at the root. They're both better described as 'competency tests' anyway.

Comfort is the response you provide when it is appropriate to do so. such as histrionics over stupid shit. Not, "I'm thinking about cheating on you."

Comfort is something she will need when you improve your SMV or she loses hers at major intervals. Giving birth (having kids depreciates her SMV), fucking her really hard and good (spoiling her ability to be satisfied by other men), getting a promotion at work, demonstrating your SMV at social functions or getting hit on by other women.

No "comfort test" is not also a shit test but some shit tests are not appropriate to provide comfort to. I.e. ducks and birds.

Shit tests and comfort tests can have the exact same words, you have to be able to read her emotions - shit tests are motivated by emotional manipulation, comfort tests are motivated by honest emotional vulnerability.
