I think the Beatles' White Album was absolutely revolutionary and genius. An enormous contribution to the evolution of rock-n-roll at the time.

That being said I think it's generally seen that Yoko pussy whipped John to levels unseen previously. She continued to make him her bitch well after the man was six feet under; the only relevance she's ever is as "the girl who dated Lennon".

He acted the way he did because he had a goal to portray himself and Yoko as the 'perfect couple'. He also wanted people to think his relationship with Yoko was better than Paul's relationship with his wife, and that he was happier.

It always bothers me to see how much Yoko betafied John. Looking at this bit from a Hard Day's Night and you see a much more RP version of him than he turned out to be.

Am I the only one who thinks the beatles are overrated as fuck? Lou Reed and the Velvet Underground are the real root of modern Rock. The Beatles come off as exceptionally dated and silly.
