Frame was by far the hardest thing for me to grasp. Not only did I not fully understand it. I read every post on here about it and still was having trouble with it. So here's another post to add if some of you guys are still having trouble.
What I've come to understand and the best way I can simplify it is, frame is being absolutely sure of yourself When you speak, think, and act.
Have you ever got into an argument with someone about a topic you knew very well and deeply. And no matter what counter argument they presented. You knew you could not only combat it. But you were calm and ready for whatever they threw at you? And no matter what, you know you could convince them to see your side of the story and eventually they would break and say "yea you're right"
As oppose to something you weren't to sure about and you may feel anxious or nervous waiting to hear what they had to say or combat your argument with next. You'd then stutter, second guess yourself and eventually end up agreeing with their point.
This is what frame is in a Sense. It's being sure of what you do. What you say. How you see things. And how you expect them to be.
Where this becomes trouble...
For guys who understand this but still are having trouble. Your problem is usually (well mine was at least) you lack direction.
You don't have a vision of how you want things to be, you don't have a goal in mind. And you are just aimlessly trying to get people to follow your lead, when you're not even sure where you're taking them or going yourself.
Imagine you're a tour guide and you have no idea the layout of the land, where you're going. But you wing it. You take your tour group (your women) all over the place, in circles, off the trail, etc. at first they might fall for it but after a while your body language is going to show you dk what the fuck you're doing. Next thing you know you're walking through vines tripping on rocks and falling all over the place. Your tour group is going to looking at each other like wtf is guy doing. Let's go find our own way.
Now imagine you know exactly where you want to go. You know the layout of the land and how to get there. You know the risks, the potential obstacles but you're prepared for them. And nothing is going to distract you or pull you from that goals. You lead the group like a boss with the goal in mind. Your group will say, but this doesn't seem like the right way. Let's go this way. (Shit test) And you will laugh and say go for it. Have fun. Meet you at the end! And continue on. They will look at the path shrug and continue to follow you.
No matter what they throw at you. You know what you're doing. And you're just having fun in between point A and point B. This is how I look at frame. And it's what has helped me better understand it since I was having trouble with it. Hopefully this might help you guys who are still not getting it.
TL:DR frames how sure you are of yourself in everything you do. To have good frame you need a specific goal in mind and not let anything. Side track or get in the way of that goal
