4 people have mentioned to me that my text messages are like I am writing a book. I have looked at my message history, and I think they mean I use complex words sometimes. My messages are mostly 5-10 words in length, or occasionally 30-40 words. I rarely use abbreviations, like u for you, or ttyl.

As an example, I used the word rescind without really thinking, and the girl made some comment about me being smart. I think this is probably overall a negative aspect of my texting game. Thoughts?
