I watch American Psycho, and there's a scene where Patrick Bateman says this:

"Well, we have to end apartheid for one. And slow down the nuclear arms race, stop terrorism and world hunger. We have to provide food and shelter for the homeless, and oppose racial discrimination and promote civil rights, while also promoting equal rights for women. We have to encourage a return to traditional moral values. Most importantly, we have to promote general social concern and less materialism in young people."

And of course we know, as him being a psychopath, he doesn't believe nor act on anything he said there. He just says it to fit in, like it's just empty rhetoric. I'm considering doing the same. When I introduce views that are controversial to the rest of the world, the people I'm talking to often go "whoa, okay" when it sounds completely natural to me.

I mean I'm a young guy with no heart. Pretty much said. I am a computer engineering student going for quantitative finance firms instead of Google, Facebook, etc. I have no empathy for anyone anymore. I do whatever it takes to get my goals finished. So if I'm trying to attract women, I wonder what the better route is. Say what I believe in and risk repelling the ignorant woman I'm talking to or lie like Patrick Bateman does? What's more effective? I've been told that regurgitating liberal views (Which most young women have) won't get me laid, yet I've also been told otherwise. What's your thoughts on this?

Edit: I suppose this answer depends on the girl. Like if she's a college student studying liberal arts, I would be better off lying. However if she's a Donald Trump supporter and fully understands everything, it's best for me to express my views honestly. But many cases, you never know. What do you guys think is the best way to act if you don't fully know the girl's type?
