I'll try to keep this short. Me and my friend, lets call him bob, are in our mid 20s. Bob is charismatic, and a pretty interesting guy and is able to make a good first impression on girls, generally. Every time a girl gives him the time of day though, he gets infatuated with her. His last 3 relationships basically failed because the girls couldn't stand how much he taked about how they were goddesses, were perfect to him etc.

He just met a girl (sally) and they hit it off. Over the past couple weeks though, hes been texting her non stop, getting really excited and almost giddy on the few occasions that she actually comes to hang out, and obviously wants to hook up or get in a realtionshop with her. As far as I can see, he already planted himself firmly in the friend zone.

It just pisses me off because I know he will spend months hanging out with her and talking to her over the context of "oh shes just a good friend" etc even though he obviously likes her but just won't make the first move. Is there anyway to try to give him advice without sounding condescending?
