I met a girl about a month ago; she isn't LTR material, but she's a lot of fun to hang around. She's an hour flight away from me, I'm here for work; she works there. There's no chance of her moving here, nor my going over there. However, my family is over there, so I visit most weekends, and see her then.

In between, we've been getting together weekly, spending more and more time together, but it's been things like last weekend, she bought us a couples' massage and lunch, followed by a wine tasting, which I paid for.

I'm aware that it is the man's job to steer the relationship towards sex. But, how obvious should I be about it?

For example, I know that, if I wait for her to initiate sex, she will do so out of frustration with my inability to do so. On the other hand, making out across a dinner table and having sex in public strikes me as an invitation to having a police record. I realise there is no hard and fast rule, but perhaps some guidelines would be most helpful.
