I read this and it got me thinking, I realized my successes were higher when I clarify it was a date vs when I ask them to hangout. When I clarify it was a date, they were more open to escalation with no resistance. But I asked them to hangout, I could still escalate but there were a little of resistance at first.

For example, there's this girl I asked to hangout, we ended up making out at the end. Later, she told me, she wished that I had said it was a date, because she wasn't sure what I wanted.

I know this board advocates to state your intentions but not to say it's a date as it puts too much pressure on the girl. Do all of you use the word "hangout" or do some of you say the word "date"? How did it go when you use either one?
