You're gonna hate this, but you failed to keep control and frame. Like, you started logistics, and gave a "night", but you didn't give a specific time.
Now it's already Friday afternoon. You should have set in stone the when and the where, and had a reliable phone on you.
I see only one way to swing this: Text back when you can at home. "Busy day. Couldn't text. Want to unplug. Come over at X time".

It means that she had not heard from her date, wasn't sure of the plans, didn't feel like waiting around with no plans for Friday night...and she did something else.
