In general, sports are seen as alpha, but there are some seen as more beta. At least at my school:
Alpha: Football, Baseball, Soccer
Indifferent: Basketball, wrestling, track, cross country
Beta: Tennis
The thing is, I play tennis, but it screams beta: it is no cut, everyone makes JV, nobody comes to games, and 90% of the guys are nerdy asian guys. As an asian who is trying to escape that stereotype, is it the wrong move to play tennis?
