Matched with a HB9 on Tinder and she asked me out the same day. We met and she seemed to tick all the right boxes. Both of us had 3 beers each and the date was going great. That's when I decided to move to a dance place since she mentioned she loved to dance.
I need to be a little high in order to be in a mood to dance. I proposed shots and she agreed (big mistake). After a while of fun dancing and all kinds of touching, I tell her let's go back to my place. That's when everything went downhill.
This place was 100m away from my house, so I thought I'll ride the two of us back on my motorcycle. I underestimated how drunk I was. As soon as I took it out of parking I lost balance and kissed the ground. Thank god she wasn't on the bike yet.
That's when a few folks around came to help me and one of them took away my bike's keys. He told me I could take them from him the next morning since I was in no condition to ride then. Dude was probably being a good samaritan but being the complete drunk jackass I was, I started arguing and even abused him. Things escalated a little and others came to calm things down.
All this while my girl was trying to de-escalate. I being the smartass I am, didn't listen to her because I thought it would make me appear weak. Sometime in the middle of all this, the girl walked away. After I managed to get my keys, I rode back home, puked all over the place and somehow fell asleep in an absolutely miserable state.
I woke up to find that she had blocked me (as I had expected) without leaving any message. I remember feeling angry when I saw her walking away leaving me in the middle of that argument, but I now see her side. I was the douchebag in this situation who spoiled her night. I'm feeling ashamed of myself. I couldn't handle my liquor and over-drank on my first date with this hot and smart girl who was all into me. Everything was in my pocket and all that was left was to walk home with her and have sex. I managed to fuck things up pretty bad.
I've spent this entire morning skipping work and feeling depressed about the state of my life. Needless to say, I'm going to stay away from alcohol and am thinking of going full-on into monk mode for a while to sort out the mess.
For now, I have a question - should I drop her a sorry note? Not that it's going to make any difference, but I just feel that it's a decent thing to do as a person. She is from the same line of work as mine and knows people from my work. Maybe I'm overthinking this, but perhaps the sorry note would help with her not thinking of me as an utterly stupid asshole.
