TL;DR - Do you guys have experience with having done something along these lines while having sex? How did you handle it / how did things end up? —————— Yesterday when I was having sex with my main plate (have been seeing each other since late November), I inadvertently called her the wrong name. I didn’t even notice I did it.

After the sex, when we were lounging in my bed the plate (let’s call her M), asked me “Who is Rachel?”

My response was “Why?” Because I hadn’t even noticed I had said the wrong name, and M’s name isn’t Rachel.

M responded along the lines of “I don’t want you to be upset, but you said her name while we were just having sex.”

I was shocked and embarrassed quite frankly...as in the past a girl named Rachel was my main plate for a few years, but I dropped her a year ago after she gave me chlamydia

I told M she was a girl I used to hookup with and started to apologize, but M said to stop and not worry about it...so I shut up and we chilled in my apartment for another 30 min or so as if nothing unusual had happened before M left and I went to bed.

I assume this will be water under the bridge and I don’t plan to bring it up again. And I really don’t care if she nexts me because if this—I have plenty of other options.
