Do you guys ever feel that when you use indirect daygame openers on the street it's obvious that you're hitting on the girl and you just end up coming across fake for trying to hide that fact? I understand the advantage of indirect in that it doesn't "scare the cat away" (as mentioned in Day Bang by Rooshv)

However, for daygame situations on the street where you just see a cute girl walking by there aren't a whole lot of excuses you can use to talk to her, you're sort of limited to asking her stuff like "Excuse me, do you know where X is?" Unless you're a tourist, I feel like any girl in a big city that gets approached often would know that question is a load of crap. We all have smartphones and nobody would really go looking for the nearest Pet Store (Rooshv says to do this in his book) without having looked it up beforehand.

In cases like this, wouldn't it be better to just go direct instead of doing a very bad job of hiding the fact that you're hitting on her?
