I am 23, this is my second “heartbreak”. From my first I learned a lot, in this relationship I maintained frame, space, didn’t give free validation, made her work for me as well etc, only thing I noticed I didn’t do is date other women (mainly because I did want to stay loyal and also I am very busy with career), and I showed lots of care for her. My ex has lived a very tough life, has drug addicted parents and practically lives on her own, seeing this I got weak and wanted to make her life situation better. But during our whole relationship she has always disrespected me in some minor way, every single time I checked her and didn’t let it slip. But it happened again and again until recently she cheated on me. I just wanted to help her situation, but I did everything else right, was showing excessive care where I messed up? Or could it be something else?
