‘Pook’ and ‘way of the superior man’

[–]new24-58 points 6 years ago* [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

pook imo is unrelated nowadays but the superior man although written more than 2 decades ago, is still a fun read.

I also recommend "the manipulated man" and ofc "12 RULES FOR LIFE". best book I've read in years.find the audiobook too, it's by JBP himself and it has a good flow to it.

Can we add - Can't hurt me (David Goggins) to the list

[–]TheStudioDen 12 points13 points14 points 6 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Really good list of books here!

I've been jumping deeper and deeper into the rabbit hole myself.

I just made a list of 20 Books Every Man Should Read in 2020 to jumpstart their growth. The Book No More Mr. Nice Guy was a huge influence on starting this journey.

https://www.phaeton4kast.com/20-books-every-man-should-read-in-2020-to-jumpstart-his-growth/

Feel free to check out the list and let me know what you think. I'm always open to feedback!

The Book No More Mr. Nice Guy was a huge influence on starting this journey.

I really wanted to get this on Audible, but for some reason they took it off. Odd.

[–]valkrrii 6 points7 points8 points 6 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I torrented the audiobook some months ago, if you are interested I can provide the link

[–]bsutansalt[S] 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Good to know one actually exists.

U should add the book way of men by jack donovan.it is a mind blowing book on masculinity

[–]TheStudioDen 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Did they really!? I was given the physical version but prefer Audio Books now. I wonder if you can get it through Hoopla or another library app. They’re free and allow you to rent audiobooks whenever you want.

[–]donaldcargill 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's free in audio version online just search the book and then add free audio.

"Atomic Attraction" should be read by every male child since kindergarten up to his senior year atleast once a year. Check it out on audible you wont be dissapointed!

I know this post is a couple months old, but just in case anyone else can be steered towards this. Listened to the audiobook yesterday… such an eye opening book. I felt attacked with some of the examples. This gives some really good examples of shit tests and how to pass them in an attractive way. Great lessons on the dynamic of attraction. It mentions early on, comfort != attraction, in fact it’s the enemy of it. This is a great read, highly recommended.

Don't forget The Gifts of Imperfection by Brene Brown

[–]Strike483 points 6 years ago* [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

Could you share a mini review? I had a friend read this and told me it felt to him that the author was talking to a woman and the message of the book seemed to cater more towards a female reader. Not sure if I'd be the target audience for this one.

[–]mmmfritz 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Sorry my comment was kinda toung and cheek :) That's the exact reason why red pill / masculin males should read it. If you need any more persuasion, the research Brown did on Vulnerability is where Mark Manson (Models, Subtle Art of NGAF) got much of his work from.

I would throw in the unplugged alpha, good book

Has anyone read any of Will Freeman’s books from Revolutionary Lifestyle Design? Heard his books on Tinder and Women were really good, but he took them off his site for some reason.

[–]XpeedMclaren 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I got them

[–]dragoph 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Man the Red Pill's finance advice is absolute fucking garbage.

Try: The Simple Path to Wealth, The Little Book of Common Sense Investing and You Need A Budget (the book).

Rich Dad Poor Dad....I guess it's fitting that it's here since Kiyosaki is the finance world version of guys like Rollo and RoushV that monetized bullshit.

Man the Red Pill's finance advice is absolute fucking garbage.

You think so? Have you read this sidebar post?

The link doesn't work, and yeah, it's garbage advice.

[–]bsutansalt[S] 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Link fixed.

[–]ezragriffin1 points 6 years ago* [recovered] (2 children) | Copy Link

Has Rich Dad Poor Dad been helpful to you?

This book gets a lot of flak.

[–]bsutansalt[S] 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The lessons about the 4 quadrants is legit. It's all about focusing on different ways of building wealth and bucking the status quo. That fits within the red pill way of thinking quite well.

[–]Orfeu_da_Conceicao1 points 6 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

This list is awesome

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"The Male Advantage" By 1stman/Kris Sturmley is an absolute game changer I loved it, the rational male is fantastic is a little bit over the top in some cases, but still brilliant, the godfather himself, thanks for the list by the way pal a lot of books I've not seen in there I'm going to get through all of those for sure!

This is the best ebook on masculinity I've ever read 👇https://www.buymeacoffee.com/AlphaSigmacode/e/114161

[–]deliverydud 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I would add Mentors Make Men to this list.

I loved No More Mr. Nice Guy, great read. The Art of Seduction was okay. It was a good introduction to red pill dating books.

Has anyone on here read The Myth of Male Power by Warren Farrell? Thoughts?
