Haven't had a condom break on me for many years. Before that, it happened a bunch which really ruins everything. Moment is gone, girl is bummed, you both have to get tested (i'd usually go together with them). So what changed? At one point i just started changing the condom every five to ten minutes. No girl ever minded in the least, quite some were actually impressed with my "diligence" especially if they asked why i changed them and i explained. It does mean if you are going half an hour or an hour, well,.. you can do the math. Also you have to buy condoms in bulk through the internet rather than the 12 pack at the store, but that is good. Way bigger selection and about a third of the cost.

Oh and yeah, always just matter of factly put on the condom the first time you are together when the time is right. After that first time it always seem fine to have "the conversation". Simply ask when the last time was that she was tested and if she'd be up to get tested with you for peace of mind of the both. Also don't ask any more questions! Don't ask how many guys she was with, when the last time was they had (unsafe) sex, what kind of unsafe sex etc...! It really isn't any of your business and it totally not helpful. Last time they were tested is good to know, rest, not. If they want to share that they were a nun since that last test/other reason why testing is unnecessary for them, they will of their own accord,.. no need to pry!

Throw-away, for obvious reasons.

I was diagnosed with HPV (low-strain virus, genital warts) about 4 years ago. I'd slept with probably around 30 women until I found out.

I freaked the fuck out when I found out I had it, for the following reasons:

I wore a condom, every.single.time, and still got it (you can get HPV and herpes while wearing a condom, FYI)
I now have it for life

After figuring out a way to keep it dormant, I don't care as much anymore. Genital warts (for guys) literally mean nothing. They're just 'there', and you can get rid of them. You know those skin tags you have on your body? I have some by my armpit. Well, it's the exact same virus... just down there.

I haven't had a wart in about 3 months. I just treat them at home for a couple of days, and bam, they fall off. Of course, during this time I don't have sex.

There are certain strains of HPV that are cancer-causing, the genital wart strain NOT being one of them.

Talking about STDs and other potential risks is a mature and adult thing to do. Just like having sex is an adult thing to do. When sex is in the cards, bring it up, get her and yourself assured.

Use condoms EVERY time. Don't be afraid of condoms or talking about STDs and sexual history. Also don't be afraid to walk away from the pussy. A wise man once said "Ain't no pussy good enough to get burnt while I'm up in it". Just like you shouldn't worry about a chick rejecting you, don't worry about talking to her about being tested. No chick is going to get offended about it and if she does, get even more offended at the idea of an accidental pregnancy or an STD. Also, save the barebacking for the long term girlfriend who you are exclusive with.

I've had sex without a condom a few times but I look back and see that what kind of stupid and it's not worth the risk. whenever it's obvious I'm going to have sex with a girl I always ask if she has condoms at her place, if not can get some on the way
