Hi, I’m using a throwaway account for this post, just in case. I need help on how to escalate with a girl.

So, I met this girl nearly a month ago via a friend of mine at a club. We chatted after the club, but I couldn’t really get to know her because at the time I was with another girl. We exchanged instas though, as we lived fairly close to each other.

Last week I wrote her just asking if she wanted to come over and have dinner sometime, and she says yes. We were setting everything up (the type of food she would want to have, etc) and she asked me if I was going to some event going on in my city that day. I reply that I was going with a friend of mine and she invited me to join her and her friend for the night. So I did, I brought alcohol, and we all spent a night out. I sort of initiated physical contact with her, touching her arm and shoulder, getting to hug her, just something light for the night, but I found her attractive so I wanted to go for more. I offered to do an after party at my apartment, with her and some people, but everyone was too tired (understandable, I was tired too imo) so we left it there.

Now, she comes over at my place the next day, and I try to keep it cool. We make dinner and she likes it, I let her play the music she likes and I had some candles and wine at home (always prepared haha), so I turned the candles on and served us wine. She likes the food, but I notice she’s visibly tired, as she’d only slept 5 hours and did a bike ride through the woods. We have a good time imo, we then went over to my bedroom (the fun part of my apartment, as it’s not that big), put music on the tv, and continue having wine. After a while I notice she’s a bit drunk and me too, she mentioned something about bringing a special drink for next time we see us, and I try to initiate physical contact again by asking her to dance (I dance Latino genres regularly, so I know how to do it gradually, I’d like to say). She asks me why do I want to dance that, to which I respond “because I like it”. We then start dancing, first with a bit of distance but then we started to dance in a more sensual and intimate way, which she mentions that for her it was sexier that way, to which I agreed. It was getting late and she was already really tired so soon after she leaves, but I kind of feel confused because I wanted to respect her boundaries (I had seen her twice at that point), but wanted at least to go for a kiss.

She texted me that same night wishing me a good start of the week and letting me know she’d arrived home safely, and the next day she texted me too making some small talk. Until now I’m keeping it cool, not trying to be dry but not too intense.

So, did I do anything wrong? What should I do next to get to the next step? This “pending” special drink + regional food thing (proposed by her when she came over) is still there I think, but idk if I should come up with that during the week or I should let her propose it again.

Context: I’m in Europe, she’s European, I’m Latino, she lived in Latin America for a while and she likes my culture.
