Ran into this youtuber, Paige Jennings, who's really open and insightful. She used to be in porn/escorting and gives a lot of insight about the female perspective - as well as cool details about sex and what women want.

Most pua advice is to always give less than the girl, make them chase you. Text less. Respond only to try and set up dates. Stay mysterious. Paige thinks differently. She thinks guys give up too easily, says guys should pursue a little more--but without being creepy, of course. She also explains HOW not to be creepy and describes where that line is. It's made me rethink my approach to communication, post-getting-the-number.

I've been getting 5-10 numbers a week for about a year and a half now, and it's worked to a certain extent. I have a few girlfriends and go on a lot of dates. But I'm nowhere near where I'd like to be. My rule has been to never text again if I don't get a responce from a text that says something like, "Let me know what you schedule is so we can set up a time to meet for x." Then I continue trying to get other numbers. I let it go dead.

Paige says that if you felt a chemistry (which is what most pua aims for - get to a point where you feel chemistry) you should be persistant, and that women want to see that you are willing to pursue them. It's like girls are playing their own game by ignoring guys a little bit to see if they push through. What are people's thoughts? Do you agree with her? How far do you personally push it with communications?
