Setting up a date through dating app

I too am pretty new to dating apps (have only been using them for a year).

Come to expect this to happen pretty frequently, and be cool with it. I used to get all "What the heck did I do wrong" but eventually realized that it's going to happen. Dating app's are a very low effort/investment platform, so it's super easy for someone to just peel off and disappear.

Admittedly, I've done it as well and while it's not nessicarily right it happens.

As far as how to set up a date, generally I open the conversation with something funny/witty about their pictures or profile and engauge in a little back and forth banter. I generally like people that are more laid back, so it's a good initial read if we are going to at least somewhat hit it off. After a few messages, I get their number and then text them to set plans up.

Hope this helps out, best of luck. Don't get discouraged with dating apps but don't also put all of your eggs in to that one basket. I'm a pretty busy dude so when I use them, it's just usually a filler in between going out/meeting people in person.

that happened constantly on dating apps.. I am not trying to be condescending but are you new to the apps?

you have to get used to using them this will occur many, many times. I have used all of them for a year now. I typically set up one date per week on average. Still women will make complete plans and then never respond and the situation you described is common too.

There is no advice possible for this situation, because it was HER choice to not respond. This is not up to you.

Advice:

use photo feeler get the best photos of you possible. use an iPhone. do it in natural lights. try angles.
keep at it swipe everyday
don't become discouraged and don't focus on the short-teem. You will strike it on there.

You have to understand many people get these apps nowadays for a variety of reasons: boredom, because a friend told them, to gain IG followers, because they travel a lot, networking, fucking around, etc. so putting it on yourself is very irrational. Also, being concerned enough about one girl means you are not getting enough matches. So,I am guessing you need to do step 1 above.

What I would do would be to have a decent conversation and then ask, how about we do x. If she says yes, then ask for her number and figure out the rest offline. A number is meaningless without a purpose (date/hanging out)
