Hey guys,
Been awhile since I've posted here or really browsed this subreddit at all. I guess I decided I'd done enough reading, and it was time to actually take action.
Anyway, I think I've finally gotten over the hardest part of pickup. I feel internally I've conqured approach anxiety, and my initial interactions actually usually go over extremely well. On any given evening (or sometimes even during the day), I can go out, have successful interactions with multiple women, collect numbers and set up dates with 2-3 of them. I've been able to pull the same night of meeting a girl a few different times, and most of my dates at least usually end with some heavy making out, if not more.
My problem is that I seem to have a really hard time getting girls to go on second dates or even just to come over and hookup again after the initial time. No matter how well I feel a first date went or what the outcome was on a sexual level, most "relationships" seem to fizzle out within a week or so after the initial date/hookup.
I'm getting to the point in my life where I don't feel the need to be sleeping with a new girl every other week, and I'd like to have a few casual friends with benefits situations or maybe even a relationship if the right girl came along.
Thus, I'm trying to pinpoint what I could be doing that's causing all of these "relationships" to die off so early.
Off the top of my head, I can think of a couple things: 1) Not giving enough attention to the girl after the initial interaction 2) Not getting the girl to invest enough during the first date (talk about herself, I feel like I always drive the conversation and have a hard time getting them to open up) 3) Having unrealistic expectations. Maybe it does take going on 100+ dates to find a girl you really connect with?
I think above all, number 1 really seems to be the one that jumps out at me. I know abundance mentality always gets preached on everything seduction ever, but could it be that there's such a thing as overdoing that? I'm a genuinely busy guy. Between my career and side hustles and trying to balance my dating life, I find myself taking 3-4 hours or more typically to respond to girls that message me. It also can sometimes take me a week or two to be able to set up a second date after the first because of my schedule. Should I be keeping contact with each girl between the first date and me setting up the second date, or is silence until close to when I'm available the best option?
Still trying to figure out the whole adult dating thing honestly. I've been out of college for close to two years now. During the entirety of college, I was in an LTR, and I feel like high school/early college dating is night - and - day difference from adult dating. Any advice is extremely welcome.
Thanks!
