Well, "thank you" IS the best response to a compliment usually.

The issue is not that you don't know how to receive a compliment, but that she's giving you too many and you're not comfortable with that. In which case you could, you know, just tell her that (in a joking way perhaps, you don't want to make this into a big deal).

"Thank you" is fine.

You also don't need to respond all the time. She will understand that she's doing it a lot so she will understand if you're saving your breath because you're pretty sure she knows you're grateful for her compliments.

Also, its a generally good idea to not compliment her back when she compliments you because it'll be perceived as more disingenuous because it'll feel like you were just pressured to say something back instead of feeling compelled to give her a compliment because you truly believe she deserves it.

But if she tells you, "you're so nice!" smile and say either:

"I know, I know"

or

"Don't you believe it."
