It didn’t lead to anything. It was a good time, we both enjoyed each others company, but I didn’t know how to escalate. We sat next to each other and had drinks, and I playfully touched her at moments that seemed right. I held good eye contact.

I think in general I’m just boring, which sucks because I had everything where I needed it to be. A girl that seems to like me, a flowing conversation, drinks, some of the right moves. The conversation just never seemed to flow to a spot where I felt comfortable escalating in any sort of way. I asked her things like who she is, where she’s from, how long she had been here, etc. It sort of felt like an interview but I didn’t know what else to do and I wanted to keep the conversation flowing smoothly which I think I did for the most part, and she seemed to enjoy herself. But I am here to escalate, not just have drinks.

Eventually she mentioned how she hasn’t ate, and I suggested that we could grab a bite somewhere, which she seemed to be enjoying it as I said so agreed. We sat down at a booth for some pizza and that pretty much killed any chance of escalation from there. Talked about who we are a little more before it seemed late. I didn’t end the night with a kiss because honestly I didn’t try to because I already felt like I didn’t do the work needed to kiss at the end of the date, and didn’t want to make it seem awkward or forced. Thought I would save it for when I do the right stuff on the next date.
