College student here - I'm working to apply what I've learned in the last four months of reading seddit. I've been chatting up a gal I know. Each week I worked in just a little bit of light kino (where appropriate). It added a fun aspect to an otherwise monotonous day.
This was nothing I had taken seriously, but a couple of days ago she emailed me (cold-contact on her part, I have never interacted with her outside of work) with the solution to a problem we had encountered in lab. Since the entire email had a flirty feel to it (including a light shit-test), I decided to run with it and scheduled a quick lunch date.
Positives: -Assume attraction is a great motto! It doesn't matter to me if this is a one time deal (or even a sympathy date), its going to be a fun time and is already a solid confidence booster
-Indifference can be beneficial. Helps to stop you from seeming needy.
Negatives: - I've read a number of comments that indicate a full schedule is beneficial. While I agree with the basic concept (a strong social life), its actually a pain to schedule something around a seriously crowded social life.
.
I'll update on how this goes, but thought I would put out this quick post.
Any suggestions on a gal older than you? I'll be adjusting the conversation slightly, but are is there anything else on which I need to keep an eye?
Update: Went quite well. Nice entertaining conversation though only a few options for kino (ended up in an awkwardly positioned table). Some verbal escalation in the banter. I pulled out relatively quickly due to other time commitments. Perhaps more to come in this series. In the mean-time, inner game goes great and other gals are around.
