This is why I have never used dating apps. If the spark isn't there, forcing chemistry isn't going to suddenly make it appear.

Yeah, you can probably force appearances to the point that it's sexual... but if you find yourself having to orchestrate it, it's not what you genuinely desire.

If you are going to do the online dating game, don't approach the dates with too much expectation that you are going to spark. If you don't want to end up back home with them, don't get down about it (unless all you care about is getting laid... in which case ignore everything I'm saying lol).

If you want to find chemistry ahead of scheduling a date, try talking to girls at bars who catch your eye or give you signals. Build relationships with anyone/everyone you meet, so that you your first face to face interaction with a potential date doesn't have to be spent working out if they are a psycho.

Ultimately it just sounds like you probably haven't been sexually attracted to the girls you've met so far (or visa versa). If you (or they) were, you'd know about it from the get-go.
