You can approach dozens of women in a night and find out within 2 minutes if they are into you / available. Just get out there and open!

First of all you need to change your mindset "Acquiring a target" reminds me of a war movie where a fighter jet is about to destroy an enemy.

She's no enemy.

You don't want to destroy anything.

Think of the process of selection as a 2-way process, and it's more like a tip toeing dance than a science.

You enter a room, you're a guy, you take a look at the women, like we all do, and in your mind, subconsciously you go something like: No, never in a million years, I would not touch that with a 10 ft pole, yes, yes, I wish, WOW, hubba hubba, yes, yes, no, no, yuk, is that a girl or a guy?, yes....

You get my point.

Guess what? Women do the same about guys. Hank Moody in Californication says that once a woman meets a guy she picks: Marry him, fuck him, or kill him? I say that kill is incorrect, and shall we repalced with ignore.

At this point each one of us has different M.O.:

some PUA go and open all sets (talk with all the women)
some PUA go and open only the HB (hot babes) starting from the hottest then going down the scale of hotness
some people have the distance game, where they (try to) exchange looks, winks, body language etc... effectively pre-qualifying prospects, then going in and talking to them I couldn't help but notice that you were looking at me is both cliché and non-threatening open.
I am sure there are other ways.

At the end of the day, you have to develop something that works for you, read this board, the resources in the sidebar, and the other Seduction/PUA literature, most importantly go out there and expand your comfort zone by trying something new, in this time and age you the man have to be the master of the first approach, babes won't come to you.
