My mother was raised on a farm and had hard work and chores imprinted in her system. Our house was pretty clean growing up and that was the standard I set for girls to be like when I started dating. I can attest that my disappointment was great when I saw the standards that modern women go for nowadays. Many universities are diploma mills nowadays. I was a TA for one professor and he didn't really do a deep dive in a student's work. It was more like, If they turn in something they "pass" that assignment. Having been in business prior to returning to school, it kinda floored me. I think that the government's thinking is that if you're married, you're more "stable" than someone in a divorce or single. I have been thinking about point 1, especially when I compare myself and my wife. My wife is wired to be emotional and reacts to situations. I think what stuck out to me the most is that she says she lives with mom. Where's dad? We could assume he's passed on, but more than likely her parents split and he is out of the picture. The founders of many protestant sects would blow a gasket at who is in the pulpit of many of their churches. Seminaries are also not immune.
