I appreciate what your saying, and I think definitions matter. No one can become "addicted" to porn. People become dependent on porn. Addiction directly affects physiology - e.g.: heavy daily alcohol or opiate abuse changes physiological processes in brain metabolism. Sudden withdrawal can result in death. Dependence is reliance on something to the exclusion of all other strategies, to the point that use becomes harmful.

Check out the laws in the U.S., state-by-state: Paternity Laws You'll discover that nearly all of them contain at best a single four-line paragraph about how to contest/establish non-paternity, and pages upon pages about how to track down and extract resources from men. Here's a lovely example from the State of California: The laws on parentage are very complicated. If there already is a court order that says, for example, that someone is the father of the child, and he wants to ask for genetic …

My #1 issue is a second wife (I know, slooooow learner) who battles me for complete "equality" in leading the relationship. Of course she wants to be equally in charge while falling back on the ol' hampster whenever it's convenient or when she fucks up. I struggle with balancing comfort with AM/IDGAF. Most specifically, any criticism of her is met with a complete re-editing of reality/what actually happened. (Ex: She says/does X, I point out that she said/did X, her hampster replies "I didn't sa…

Observe, decide, and act. Never reveal your sources or methods. "Confronting her with the evidence" is a total waste of your time, unless you're into hampster wrestling.

Criminal background check. Post-marriage, during the divorce process I did one on my ex and found arrests for possession with intent to distribute and multiple DUI's. Through digging, I found out that she only avoided going to jail by testifying against her drug-dealer boyfriend at the time.

It ain't over until the ink is dry on the paper. Could be a giant shit test on her part. Some pro tips: 1) watch out for her trying to start loud arguments to sucker you in to a DV charge to get you removed from the home. Have a video recording device on you at all times. 2) do not move out. If you have anything that's really important to you (baseball card collection, guns, etc.) Have a friend hold them or get a small storage unit and store them there.

/u/yaysmr - perhaps you can speak to this better than I. While remaining silent is great, it won't stop the police from badgering you. They will ask and ask and ask in an attempt to drive you to speak. You must be explicit and unambiguous when invoking you rights. "I'm not answering any questions" won't cut it. "Officer, I understand you that this is serious and I want to cooperate with your investigation BUT I want my attorney present before answering any further questions about this situation.…

Here's a gravest extreme example of what women will can/will do to get the upper hand in divorce/custody situations: A man's worst nightmare TL;dr: Ex-Wife stages her own bind, torture, rape, & attempted murder in an attempt to obtain sole custody. Ex-husband charged & held on all of the above until a receipt for a bagel saves his life.

It's also within the realm of possibility that he's guilty. Having lived through a similar situation myself, I feel for him if he's not. Always have the recording device at the ready so it's not just her story in evidence.

It may be a rough patch, or a lifetime problem. I suggest you perform a criminal background check on her. Look for prior DUI's, public intoxication, and assaults. It can't hurt to know if there's a history or not.

When he finds her hidden stash in the linen closet, what then? When she comes home drunk from a bar? Many alcoholics are Passive-Aggressive personality disorder. It makes them oppositional-defiant to outside controls. Your suggestion will do nothing except create a non-stop game of cat-and-mouse that frustrates everyone involved. Ask me how I know!

It's a good sign that you're aware that you contributed to the situation. You didn't create it, she did. If you think she's salvageable, it going to be a rough road. I tried salvaging what I thought was a wife who started drinking too much. Turned out that she was also an opiate/polysubstance addict who was smoking heroin. When I discovered this, I divorced her. She's still using.

Um, yeah, and if she dies or disappears, you're suspect #1 unless facts compell a different explanation. Even then, the damage will be done to your rep.
/r/MarriedRedPill09/02/16 05:48 PM
3

In the process of sorting this out, a big question you need to address is "What attracted me to someone like this in the first place?" Read NMMNG, it'll help you settle that question. P.S.: She's not going to stop drinking. It'll get worse during the divorce process. You've had one brush with the DV charge/law, you won't get that lucky a second time.

Congrats on the winning position bro. Note to all you guys divorcing/near divorce: Never rise to the bait of an emotionally heated argument! She's not angry or upset, she's just pulling the crazy card to slap you with the DV charge. Your phone is your best defense in this situation. /r/TheRedPill28/01/16 08:22 PM

Agreed. If I bought my daughter anything and her Mother kept and refused to return it, I would file a theft complaint. As a parent, you can enforce the no-phone rule in your house, but not the other parent's. He should have returned it to the mother. The cops showing up at his door at 2am over something minor like this is completely ridiculous, and total white knighting for the poor damsel wife.

I will be handling it. What I won't be doing is flying off the handle in the moment so that I make it so she's completely incapable of hearing what I'm saying. This is a larger problem than "don't do that particular thing again".

I hear you. There's no way I'll let this slide. I am doing my best. This is not an excuse, but a fact: Her mother is a dark triad drug addict who isn't completely out of the parenting picture (thanks Family Court!).

That's extreme, but not a bad idea. The scorn from the siblings would be withering. But, No, it's not "probably why I'm in the situation I'm in." I have ridden her often, with consequences, for offenses like name calling, excluding, ganging up with other girls, etc. Some of this shit is just raising a girl in 2016. It doesn't help that her mother is a dark triad drug addict who isn't completely out of the parenting picture (thanks Family Court!).

Fun Facts: Women receiving child support get to spend it anyway they like, with ZERO accountability, while buying the kids the cheapest shit possible from Goodwill. Women can call the State, simply state: "He's not paying/hasn't paid his child support" and in 7 days your paycheck is garnished. As a divorced father, child support laws need changing. 1) Accounting for child support money spent. Right now, the mother has no accountability. I pay "child support", and get the privilege of paying 100% for all recreation, hair cuts, clothes, etc. She spends the money on herself, with no accountability, while getting the kids clothes from a thrift shop for the poor. 2) Reform how child support is calculated. In my state, it's based on "disparity in income". My ex has the same degree/same fiel…

I heartily agree with your statement about the need for a strong male peer group. I'm going to suggest something unpleasant. Consider it, and reject it if you don't agree, but at least consider it. Fibromyalgia is a diagnosis with zero independent variables. It's essentially a somatic manifestation of depression. I'd define it as using the courts, the police, CPS, IRS, etc to keep the father paying as much as possible and out of the kids life. Basically using the system to hold parent time hostage. You could expand it to blaming/attacking anyone (a teacher, coach, or the school) who has the audacity to suggest her perfect little treasure(s) might be having some/all of the problems mentioned in the thread. It's attacking the messenger and inculcating the victim mentality.

This comment doesn't address your question, but take heed. I've worked in hospitals for 25+ years. Many women go in to Nursing with the intent of marrying doctors and quitting to become professional shoppers. I have overheard conversations where they state this plainly and have even heard discussion openly plotting how to poach a wealthy physician away from their wife. I've watched them do it, successfully. Don't get suckered into putting a ring on a nurse or tech from work!

I saw this happen first hand. An MD friend of mine, left to live ExPat because house, child support and usury-level alimony were awarded to the ex-wife. There are some countries where they won't take action on US court orders. When she filed for divorce, she got an exclusive-use order for he house, barring him from entry and sold every motorcycle, gun, ski gear and anything else of value belonging to him that she could lay her hands on.

If I understand it correctly, PTSD is a sort of absolute psychological limit of human beings. Some are more resilient/susceptible than others, but exposed to enough, for long enough,EVERYONE breaks. I recall a SF instructor in the show "Making the Cut" state that he could break any man within 10 minutes using water, but that wasn't the point of the training. I believe what he said, I don't think he was boasting.

I think director George Miller is a genius. He casted Victoria's Secret models in scantily clad "roles" (and by roles, I mean eye candy). He knew this would garner him negative attention from feminists, so he consulted a top feminist to help " inform their performances" about what it would be like to be a female sex slave. Feminist box checked, criticism dodged, near naked VS models in MadMax. I think Roosh rushed to judgement with only having seen the trailer.

Some states require mediation before litigation in divorce. The state doesn't want to tie up the court with hearings if things can be settled before hand. I'm reluctant to call bullshit, but one thing does not make sense: She's 7 months pregnant and she tells him she cheated. Why? If women are naturally Machiavellian, that's are stupid move.

That's how I first discovered /r/trp. Unfortunately, it was after my decent into beta-hood (from swallowing the happy wife, happy life kool-aid) and subsequently being divorced raped. Reading the material here made me want to puke. It explained EVERYTHING. Once I educated myself and internalized the mindset, I lived in a different world. The awakening was on-par with realizing religion was made-up bullshit and developing a scientific world view. TRP is like have the cheat codes to life. You stil…

There's the initially hiding/not disclosing it, and now it's just defiance. I wouldn't care if they maintained amicable relationship, but now that she has been non-forthcoming it's a dealbreaker for me. For me, it is a respect issue. The observable things that I am reacting to our that my wife has a strong capacity for logic, it's one of the things that appealed to me about her. However when this issue came up, she said "I just couldn't help myself!" When I confronted her with the fact that this…

They could, but the hiding it from me has become a respect issue. Although the ex-husband is now a felon and registered sex offender, he is from a very wealthy family. He is impoverished now, but stands to inherit very large sums of money. I think the relationship with the ex stepdaughter may serve as a convenient back door to the husband. He did not want the divorce and begged her to stay. Being a registered sex offender will most definitely hurt his dating prospects. I am concerned that my wif…

And now that I read your question fully...no. I didn't pull-up the phone number from the contact. I need to match them up to be certain. Thank you for stimulating my thinking.

Yes. No Doubt it's the adult step daughter.

I'm anticipating a response of "oh, I always delete old messages", except she doesn't. It's only this ex-step daughter's messages being censored. That's what first raised my suspicions.

Agreed. Question is what. I won't tolerate it and issuing ultimatums is weak.

Yeah, that's a sensible first step.

Yeah, if I get a "story", I'll know something's amiss.

It's a step daughter. I think the S-D is bringing up things from the previous marriage that she doesn't want me to know.
/r/askTRP16/06/14 06:55 PM

I agree. I'm looking for a strong, non-nuclear strategy. I have no smoking gun, but the absence of messages that were there.
