"mouth shut"? I draw the line there. I want a man who loves to talk to me. Long conversations into the night. You want me just to nod the rest of my life?

Sounds like you are in love. What's wrong with that? Enjoy, suppress guilt about not "acting like yourself"; you are yourself...in love.

Friends are people who help you and motivate you to achieve what you want to achieve. The people you describe are not your friends. I had a similar situation. I was born with slight facial disfigurement. It bothered me forever. I decided to get the minor plastic surgery to fix it. My "friends" all told me I shouldn't-- guys should love me for the way I was. Well, I did NOT like the way I was. One true friend said, "Get the surgery; it's low risk and you will look much better and feel better." I …

Yep, the method matters. I see women "molding" men to be what they want them to be. And I wonder, do they men really want the same thing? If they don't then it makes sense they would rebel -- transference-- by having an affair.

Unfortunately on Reddit female translates to aggressive angry burn all bridges radical left-winger. Don't agree with the party line in anyway and you will be down voted to hell

Yet no one is happy. Divorce and infidelity are rampant. People are generally angry and dissatisfied! Maybe because they are working so hard to deny our own nature!

Welcome. I guess what I like about this sub is that is believes in reality-based relationship. If you base your relationships on fantasies then you're always going to be unhappy and disappointed.

That's true. But I'm not very good at picking up signals that are not more overt. I'm also pretty shy

It seems to be sometimes like we have the worst of both worlds. On the one hand there are a lot of men who are still 14 years old even though they may be in their 20s or 30s and their "bids" are simple grab ass plays for instant sex. On the other hand the actual high-value men are scared off by feminist hostility and discourse and not making the gentlemanly plays of past days.

Yup, saying TRP hates women is like saying evolution hates women. Hey, what we're doing here is just reality checking ourselves and our potential mates.

Right. But almost all the women fit into this category. Ever see a film with Maureen O'Hara? 100% female but also strong and powerful.

Well, it was called the star system. So the average female or male movie star would sign to an exclusive contract with the studio. They would make 2-3 pictures of year. Much more than most movie stars today. So you really you can pick any movie because they would always be playing some variation of the same role

I'm just a person on the Internet. But it does seem to me that he is making some choices right now. You don't approve but you can't force him to make the right choices

Sorry if I push back on your fitness philosophy. You are 22. Will he still not care that you don't take care of yourself when you are 30? 40? Is he letting himself go as well? Is that going to be attractive to you forever? Fitness is not something that just exists for society. Don't believe it when men tell you that something which is part of their nature is not part of that what they really want.

Sorry to be blunt but maybe his slobness is an important to him as your tidiness is to him. Do you really expect him to convert from a lifelong habit. Sounds like in his house the "women folk" cleaned up after the little boys (of all ages). He gives off all the signs of man-child from gaming to sloppiness. I really would like to date a man, an actual mature male, thank you. Sounds like you do too. Don't rule out incompatibility. Harsh, I know.

Wow, you think so? I mean that would work in romance novel. But isn't she just setting herself up for another kick in the shins?

Think about what SMV means to you. Does not mean 10+ in every attribute. Example: Would you give up some on the looks to have a greater sense of humor? There is a guy at work I am attracted to who is always super serious, which was always a negative to me, but has so many other high value qualities.

You've done more than anybody else who wasn't his mother or sister could do. Yes, you could be the healer in his life. You could be the person who would help him get back on the saddle. But his continual rejection of you shows that his psychosis about his injury is more than just grumps about looking weak. If he continues to reject you and he continues to do the wrong things then he really isn't the man that you thought he was. I know it hurts, but when nothing works, then nothing works.

You are correct in identifying a bit bit of hatred in the way that you act -- targeting your mother has a bad role model. You are somehow equating being a woman with being weak and passive and manipulative. There are places to look for role models outside of your family. Take a weekend and hold a binge marathon of 1930s and 1940s movies. You will see so many women on the screen at that time who were proud, strong, intelligent, witty, successful -- and yes gorgeous -- but they were WOMEN. I'm not…

This! One of the ways that I caught on how destructive and distractive intra-female culture was was seeing how we encourage each other to dress and look for each other not for our partners. How many times have I seen someone's male partner not very excited about how they dress, or their hair or their style. The woman resents it and says "my friends like it!" So date your girl friends then! I always suggest to look at it another way. Suppose your man started to dress like a slob and you brought i…

Well, I know you don't want to hear anything that begins "you are still young" but you are. Nothing stated here is an exact science. Both of you were/are still immature, still figuring out exactly how you want to fine-tune your relationship with anybody at all. I've always thought that it's a mistake to try to secure anybody in a relationship too early, not too early just in the relationship but chronologically in our life span. I know we're not supposed to wait until our 30s but the early 20s s…

Yep, of course the foul mouthed woman that they always fall in love with happens to be a beautiful movie star. If the movie were realistic, the guy would get some sex and then walk off.

The red pill is all about respect. The reason that so many relationships between men and women are absolutely broken is that neither respects the other but nobody wants to with me that even to themselves.

There is an imbalance here. I think it's acting out within you. The fact is he could be all of those good things but he's also unemployed. That means he is not a success by any measure in our society. I think you're leaving out something about the story. I'm assuming you're both old enough to have careers. Why doesn't he have one? I think you're asking questions about his status but sublimating that into other things. The red pill to me means that you accept reality as it is not as you wish it w…

This where RP gets really complicated. Is there a backfire effect? She becomes a better mate...he starts to take her for granted. OP: Have you just talked to him directly? Said that you feel you have done a lot for the relationship, for him and be clear about your expectations? RPW is not about women getting nothing, right?

I am petite and look much younger found as I got older it scared off men my age. Somehow western men don't like the "child bride" look. If I wore a baseball cap and tshirt...well, guys would actually look guilty if they looked at me. Then abnormally late I filled out upstairs...now I get much more interest...but I have too many problems to hope for a relationship. Life sucks.

Surrendering here does not mean what you think it means. You are signaling him that you are ready to give him everything (sex, power, devotion) without asking anything in return. Surrender means...finding a true, good, strong, confident male--someone you admire and trust. Then you surrender to his guidance the things that matter to him.
