Sounds to me like you're expecting a sharp delineation between LTR and Plate material. I think that the truth is that all behaviors occur on a spectrum, and that it may not be as much a matter of the kind that of girl you're attracting as it is the kinds of behaviour you're expecting. One of the most important things I've learned from TRP is not to look at external entities such as girls or TRP as the causes of my dissatisfaction. It's been much more effective to look at myself and try to confro…

I'm involuntarily snipped( side effect of surgery) and have found that for short term hookup scenarios it's the best- girls are almost immediately down with no holds barred unprotected sex. Pretty much the only barrier is my imagination. As for long term prospects, they're initially down with the fun of it, but when push comes to shove, they want kids. I'm 31 and yet to find a girl where kids being a non option has not been a breaking point. Of course were I of a more Machievellian mindset, I wo…

Surviving cancer 9 years ago gave me a new perspective. Make the most out of the time that you have and surround yourself with people you love. Just when you think you've got it all figured out everything can collapse in a few seconds. Since then I've spent years travelling the world, trying out new experiences, meeting a ton of people, and advancing my career. I make more money than I ever have in a career I find truly fulfilling and my ample free time is filled with invigorating experiences. I…

You're setting yourself up for a much harder time than necessary by committing to living in a ridiculously overpriced city, especially if you're already struggling to get by on whatever crappy job you can get with your BA. Have you considered not living in the most expensive city in the country? How do you plan to get ahead there? I move around for work constantly and in turn enjoy my time off where ever I please. Take an actual thorough look at what it is about being in Toronto that's so import…

Why does anyone want to live long enough to burden their family with needing 24/7 care? Seriously what kind of life is that? It's a huge emotional and financial weight to tether your loved ones with, not to mention that you lose all of your dignity. I think that living that long is more a testament to the egos of one's family than to you own health and vigor. My grandmother is 101 years old, and her children want her to live in a plastic bubble so that she can.live as long as possible. Why? It's…

Banksy has a quote about this along the lines of "stand up and go outside before you get distracted." I use this one, even if the task I need to do isn't outdoors, it forces me to confront whatever it is I need to deal with first thing in the morning. Also going outside as soon as you wake up is pleasant.

lol @ the dread game part near the bottom about making up IOIs from other women. I actually had a previous LTR become angry with me when I said that a girl she thought wanted me wasn't into me. At the time it made no sense, she was clearly pissed and I couldn't see why. In retrospect through an rp lens I think that she was disgusted by the thought that other women didn't want me.

I get the same thing w dudes hitting on me, but the interaction is so different when I rebuff them. I have no qualms about giving a hard no right off the bat, and they inevitably understand exactly what I mean by it. With women getting unwanted advances they often just give these vague indirect subtexty clues and then wonder why betafag doesn't get the hint.

Stay in one place for a few weeks and build a group of friends, plan a 5 to 10 day trip during this time and get the group in on it. I travel solo and I'm the same age. I do 3 week cycles in each region I visit, and always come away with new friends and experiences, sometimes I get laid too! Don't hang around in your room drinking/smoking banging hookers. Go find some fun shit to do, and go meet some good ppl. Get up and go outside before you get distracted.

buddy of mine had this happen a couple of years ago, he was a well trained mma fighter. He cold cocked the cop on the spot, busted the guys nose, out cold. Probably felt awsome for 15 seconds or so. The cop proceeded to follow him around harrassing him pulling him out of his car, got him fired from his job, showing up outside his house, etc for months afterwards. He had to get a job in the next town over- it was fucked. Completely not worth it.

I see personal problems as having seperate phyical and abstract components. For example, OP mentions having problems w/ not exercising enough and jerkin it too much. These are physical things, not feelings. How OP feels about these actions is a separate thing. I think that you've conflated two things that I see as separate. I also don't think we're disagreeing all that much.

One of my profs told us "Imagine a kid in your life now- you'd give as much of your time/money as was necessary to help the kid as you could right? No good parent would hold their child back in any way would they? You'd give any money/time you had to raise that child right? Anyone else think that the way he repeating every point he makes several times is a deliberate appeal to angry at the world aging baby boomers? They look at this and see themselves but instead of carefully picking apart the rhetoric they pat themselves on the back for being informed. I had a similar thought reading this. "Progressive Modalities?" This is like saying "utilize" instead of "use". Vocabulary has its place, but most of the time simple language is the most effective way to actually communicate your point. Pedantic pontificating ends up with a lot being said but very little being internalized by the audience.

It's actually called histcompatibility (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Histocompatibility) it means that women can't smell a good match and end up breeding with a sub par guy because everything adaptive and tingly gets replaced with rational choice, so they end up with beta husbands and kids with weak immune systems.

Improvisation is a great skill to have. It works wonders not only for shits tests and amogs, but hands on problem solving as well. In my work I often have to fix equipment or solve problems using whatever materials are at hand, not necessarily what the book would say to do, improvisational thinking has helped me every step of the way. Improv isn't solely the domain of comedy, although that's a good way to learn more while working on your sense of humour,

Just been thinking about this. I was called weak last night for caving and giving up info about plans that I initially didn't want to reveal. I had attempted to feed the hamster by teasing about what I'm going to do with my holiday vacation time without giving up any details or timeline. I caved after about 5 mins of pestering- I didn't realize until after that I should have given a firm "no" and allowed the hamster to do it's worst.

Nice taxonomy- it kinda comes off as robotic. Do people really need these instructions? "Ok guys this is how humans behave now go blend in." I think that people have trouble functioning outside of a highly structured environment and that meeting people goes along with jumping into new situations; being able to improvise socially is more important than anything. Actually if you read up on EP violent crime rates are predicted by economic disparity between proximal communities and teen pregnancy rates are predicted by life expectancy and general quality of health. Sure there are a lot of black kids being raised without fathers, but you can't assume causation from correlation.

I work on a production-based wage, from contract to contract. Some contracts have a smaller per unit payout but lower quality standards, and vice versa. The median wage stays the same, and going from high payout high quality to low payout low quality (with higher production) is always a breeze. Going the other way though, I've always found that people changing from a lower quality expectation greatly overestimate their own value.

I think that this example applies moreso to urban centres than rural areas (I realize that most people live in some kind of urban sprawl). There are still pockets of masculinity alive and well in less densely populated areas. I'm gonna tell my kids how I planted over a million trees by hand over the course of a decade.

As someone who lives outdoors 6 months of the year for the last decade, I think recommending that someone with little to no outdoor experience go gt lost in the mountains (especially at this time of year) is a bad idea. I think the act should have equal consequences regardless of who deos it. That said; would the amount fo harm actually done by the punch be taken into consideration were charges to be pressed against her? I mean, I've been punched my angry women, and most of them are laughably weak, whereas if this heavyset ex-cop dude punched her in her sleep I'm pretty sure he would have decimated her entire face. I live in a rural area, and in my circumstances, anyone who places the kind of value a 67 malibu costs on a vehicle of any kind is a fucking retard. Besides that, you're not getting a lot of manly things done in any kind of car, just driving around patting yourself on the back for all the validation your stupid vehicle gets you. I used to have a 68 Dart, and the only people who cared were old greasemonkey dudes. Like I said; cars are nice, not masculine.

i think that your "them" is a pronoun without a clear reference. Relax. I had the same problem and it seemed counterintuitive because I was so focused on trying too hard but fittingly enough the effort was misdirected so the cognitive dissonance/ agitation of failure just caused more anxiety. So I worked on relaxing, breathing techniques etc. worked for me

stuff you write in school isn't about what you believe. it's about a given position; how much evidence you can marshal and how you deliver the parcel. you can argue correctly or incorrectly, it doesn't have to reflect what you actually think.

some oilfield jobs in alberta are actually preferentially hiring women because overall they do less damage ($) to the large equipment. For example, if a guy gets stuck in a mudpit or sees that there's some large obstacle blocking the road, they're way more likely to just try and power on through it. i know it's counterintuitive but there ya go

i think its a pretty big assumption to say that guys dont extract resources from women they aren't attracted to through vague implications of something more. its manipulative and shitty, but its entirely possible, albeit less common.

ha the rationale of this thread is laughable. op is freezing up because she's hot and his fragile ego wont allow him to admit to himself that the problem is his approach anxiety. if you're telling the truth you have all angles working for you and are shitting the bed. ask her about stuff that interests you- lead the convo.

Native ppl from the Pacific Northwest have ceremonies colloquially known as potlatches to white ppl in which the chief makes a show of giving away as many signifiers of wealth as possible; not only is wealth appropriately distributed, but the chief is able to assert an "alpha" standing in the community. the acceptance of gifts in this context is also considered a reinforcement of the social status of both parties involved in the exchange.

i work for a contract basis company. silviculture doesn't require much training. try looking up silviculture companies. if you wanna work for the govt or do much of anything above the grunt labour i mentioned you need some certs or a forestry degree, or a ton of experience. try getting a first aid level and another forestry cert like danger tree assessment they're short courses(a week at most) or there's firefighting, shakeblocking, i dunno what else to tell you pm me if you want more info.

I love the books but I wouldn't look to them for guidance. The guy was of exceptional value as a writer, and I'm sure it compensated for his otherwise mediocre market value, but the version of events we get is mediated through his authorial persona. Women actually assign relative weight to different qualities depending on which stage of their fertilty cycle they are at.Liquidity is certainly a high value quality but creativity increases in value near peak fertility, even if it's not accompanied by an abundance of resources. That's just one example; obviously there are a variety of other traits that have variable values depending on fertility/ environmental context.
