I think public healthcare is a no brainer and that to be against it is just asinine. a lot of the benefits of today's health car come from societies where it's not public. countries with public health care systems don't have pharmas investing billions to improve medicine; to the contrary, they have a high reliance on generics, which are basically subsidized by the people who live in countries with market-based systems.

Sometimes I see a lot of radicalism on this subreddit. People then started on about how abortion is murder. since when is being pro-life considered "radical?" I agree a fetus is "just a bunch of cells" just like you or I are "just a bunch of cells;" the only difference between the two is that we can protect ourselves and a fetus cannot. I'm not pro-life, but I respect someone's decision to be pro-life so as not to label it "radical."

I would go the route of the court and beg for mercy. you could hire a lawyer to fight your case, but that could get expensive, and I could also imagine the judge reasoning that if you can afford a lawyer then you should have no problem with the $1024 payments. while the software will not give you a break, the judge might. I would take my chances.

well, scaling will not guarantee the median and the average will be the same, it merely ensures that every point will fit somewhere on the curve. e.g., fitting 50, 50, 60 onto any distribution will never give you a scenario where the mean equals the median.
