A trick from improv: Stop what you're doing. Look directly into her eyes and ask yourself, "Why do I care about this person?" Proceed.

Direct = good. Don't be shy about your intentions. Honestly, if I ever think there's any potential misinterpretation between me and a girl I want to take out I'll just say, "let's grab drink this thursday." and follow it up with, "to be very clear, I mean for a date." In this instance, since you weren't very direct to start it might come off weird if suddenly you're super direct so, I would say sure, ask her out for dinner. Say, "hey it was great talking with you, lets grab dinner soon. I'm free…

Unfortunately, there's no way around curing the natural anxiety that stems from inexperience unless you do one and only one thing - have more sex. Your anxiety in the bedroom will literally never go away until you learn what the hell you're doing...and that goes for ANYONE with sexual anxiety. Couple solutions: Get a girlfriend Fuck ugly chicks that you don't care about Just be honest with women about your inexperience

I don't think it's a bad idea necessarily. Though I question how it looks if you fail to ask her in person and then resort to asking through text which is obviously, much easier. Ultimately, you just need to develop an "abundance mentality." That is, there's a million girls out there so, take a risk. If it doesn't work out with this girl - you can find a new one tomorrow.
/r/seduction07/06/16 11:20 PM

Couple things: The only way she's ever going to know that you want her is if you tell her. Women don't like a man who is shy about what he wants. So, don't be so shy. I definitely understand it as I'm quite shy myself, but it's not going to work. That leads to number two: Just ask her. "Do you have a boyfriend?" It's not a weird question to ask. If you say it confidently and calmly she will think its normal. If you say it and your voice cracks and your tense, she'll think you're a pussy. So, rel…

In Double Your Dating DeAngelo recommends "The Sound of Your Voice." It's kind of outdated and pretty corny, but a good starting point perhaps. If anything, I would look into local public speaking courses.

Totally agree with point 10. Following up with one text is not enough IMO. Over the summer I was daygaming heavily and the hottest girls I pulled almost always required not one text, but many. I'll even say something like, "Sarah you are seriously underestimating my persistence!" That being said, it's all about the abundance mentality. If you're approaching like crazy non-responses become irrelevant as new numbers flood in. That I can get on board with.

In the instance you described, I would agree. Perhaps I explained it poorly, but I would never drop that line on a girl who I wasn't already vibing with/had developed chemistry with. Thus, the line makes sense and if anything, is a shortcut to closing that kiss quicker for those of us that aren't casanova's. I'll give you an example: I went mini golfing with my buddy recently on a double date. Throughout the date he was vibing with the girl he was with, touching her, teaching her how to swing...…

Good for you man. I really enjoyed reading this. As a quick note: I don't know if calling vs. texting has anything to do with this but I went from never having any dates to two. I would say there's a direct correlation there. As you mentioned, fortune favors the bold, but really it can be hard to flirt and get a girl excited about going on a date with you via text, but a phone call can help trump that...IMO, anyway. That happens to be coming from someone with weak text game as I prefer an actual…

Well a girl biting your dick is pretty fucked up, but we've all had our bad sexual experiences man. I went through a phase where I basically avoided sex because a girl I slept with had the WORST smelling vagina. I would even call it temporarily traumatizing, but put it this way...it's not like you're going to quit having sex, right? So, get it over it and get back out there.

Sexual anxiety is cured purely by having more sex. Your post is unclear because you insinuate your experienced in the bedroom by mentioning your previous "long term girlfriends." So, one of two things is going on here: You're embarrassed about how little sex you've had (silly thing to be embarrassed about) There's a greater issue here and you're not being clear enough in explaining it. My guess is it's some variation of #1. The answer again is, have more sex. I used to have terrible sexual anxie…

As an improviser, I didn't expect to see a book about improv here, but then again I've recommended improv to others, numerous times, as a way to improve oneself and thus, their game. Care to expand on what the book entails/what lessons you learned from it? I'd imagine there's some discussion of dropping the filter, listening, living in the moment and reacting truthfully.

Nope: If you have female friends where the sexual attraction is minimal you can actually ask them and they will tell you and give you pretty good advice. Women, even if they aren't attracted to you give advice within 2 realms: What they think they want (IE: they think they want a "nice guy"). and: What serves them best. It's the same with most guys. I never know what I'm doing wrong but I can easily tell every single friend of mine exactly what he does wrong. This is pure, unadulterated crap. Yo…

Well, showing interest in them is a good thing. Don't remove that from your life. But when you tell them "you like them a lot," you're asking for trouble. I don't tell a girl I really like her unless I mean it and at that point, I want to get her motor running. Essentially, there are different (and better) ways to express yourself then that phrase. Either way, as long as you are CLEAR about your intentions from the start, you're fine. IE: don't HINT with shit like "I'm not good boyfriend materia…

It's so refreshing to see a little self deprecation in this subreddit. /u/Link_GR 's response is textbook seddit. Ease up, it's a joke...and a funny one at that. We don't have to channel Tony Robbins all the time. I would also say I'm a fairly good looking guy, who works out, is confident and funny, but I mean seriously, is there anyone hotter then the Hemsworth brothers? Hell, I'm not even gay, but I mean shit... Fucking naturals.

I don't think the point is so much that he gamed her, but that he took the opportunity. I've been in situations like these a million times and rather then take that risk, I've walked away with my tail between my legs. The cute girl on the subway, the girl behind the counter or one of a dozen seemingly random interactions as unexpected as a cute police office. The point is, OP has gotten to a point in his life (according to this anyway) where taking those risks and putting himself out there is no…

As a psych grad student who has to do a miserable amount of citing, that is a sad excuse for "sourcing him." See, here's the problem. You're trying to "help me." That is disrespectful. It puts you in a higher position then me. It insinuates that you're better. Interesting and valid points. You're argument errs on the side of pure objectification and physical attraction; solely. You're right, that's what the scale is based on. I suppose for me, I always viewed tens as otherwordly creatures. Perfect woman. To rate someone a 10, in my eyes, is a serious, serious statement. Therefore, I made (perhaps unfair) assumptions about what a woman like that would be.

The now sober 10 is digging OP just as she was the night before. OP executes well and pulls to his place for a smoke sesh. It's now obvious she's down and OP knows what he's doing enough to make a move and seal the deal. These are assumptions and the whole point is, he didn't provide these details. My point is that meeting at night, transitioning to day 2 and getting the lay is one of the most natural game progressions out there. No it isn't. Simply put. It's far from natural to meet a girl when…

if he has to lie to make himself feel better then seriously meh at least we are helping him out You're a better man then I. To me, if he's lying, that's just not cool. I'm not trying to shoot the story down and I appreciate the idea and context behind it, trust me. It just doesn't sound authentic. Or really, it started off very authentic and hit home for me in that, I often feel the same way he does. So when it ended and I sensed he was lying, I felt particularly cheated.

I don't know, I don't necessarily agree. Sure she could be dumb and maybe some girls would do that, but a true ten? She's not going to fuck just anyone. If she's a dumb ten, then she lives for the attention she receives at bars and enjoys shooting guys down. Then she fucks the bouncer later. If she's an intelligent ten, then its not even about looks for her as it is the x factor...charm, sense of humor etc... Both tens are inherently normal people with insecurities, however.

This is going to sound pretentious and accusatory, but I think it was just poorly written towards the end. Granted, something definitely doesn't sound authentic about this story. You seem like an intelligent fella so I would imagine you can understand my reservations. The comment of "false humility," is interesting, but at the same time, no one would (realistically) be ashamed about sleeping with 400 women. Let's say for arguments sake you lost your virginity at age 16. That would be over 60 women a year. At age 14 that be 50 women a year. The average dude sleeps with 4-5 women a year. Really impressive read man. I had several "Aha" moments. For one thing, I've never been to a "Goth/Industrial," club and I have no real idea what they entail. The sentence, "I see a man out of the corner of my eye in a very interesting outfit," is somewhat ambiguous, as we aren't there and I'm left to picture him wearing Tobias Funke's version of, "Leather Daddy." I'm gonna also agree that you jumped the gun on offering to take her home. However, your reaction to her rejection was played to absolute perfection and in that sense, it may have very well been the key. The whole point, as you know, is to present it in a completely ambivalent manner. Offering to take her home was no less ordinary then asking her what time it was, and in asking, you established attraction, and in leaving, you showed incredible self-confidence. No. You're wrong. There's no difference between, "Can I get your number?" and "What's your number?" Also the phrase, "let's get together this week," is beta. It's an open ended statement. Tell them when you're getting together.
/r/seduction15/09/13 01:44 AM

What he's saying is, you never ask a girl for her number. Rather, you simply hand her your phone and have her enter it. This is good for several reasons, 2 being: You don't ask like a beta male, you take, like an alpha male and she see's that. It gives off the impression that you get numbers all the time and this is routine. Therefore, she's more inclined to give you her number. I also have done this many, many times and it hasn't failed me yet.

As far as the context, maybe I was off and maybe it was a joke. To be honest, the "even me," may have just been poorly placed. I felt like there was incredible sexual tension between us (she just seemed to find me funny/when I went to my appointment last time it was from work so I was all dressed up) and I was clueless how to capitalize on it. Couldn't touch her, but even if I could, I was too nervous. Wasn't sure…

I was introduced to them in college, but continued on my own post graduation. I work in NYC and NYC has several well known improv communities so I got involved via google search>e-mail>phone call>signed up for a class. You're a smart dude with internet connection. You answered your own question. Go on google, search for whatever you're looking for in your city/state and get in contact with those people. For my dance class I found a couple local studios and called them up. I ended up taking a cla…

I play a lot of basketball and I'm sort of the "ambassador," for basketball games in our area. Whenever people are looking to play, they hit me up, because they know I have the social network to make a quick 4 v 4 game happen. So, I generally bond with other cool dudes through that. If we meet casually and I find out they play ball I'll take their number down and invite them to the next game. If we play a couple games together and can comfortably sort of jive each other and enjoy the spirit of c…

The clear and correct answer is that there's no way around kino, but maybe I can offer some of my own insight as someone whose drastically improved with women while still retaining kino related retardation. IE: I'm awkward as fuck with touch. Recently, I've gotten into the habit of touching everyone. It gives people value when you touch them and I usually go for the upper arm/shoulder because its a very neutral spot. Try it with guy friends first, it'll help you learn. Kino, in general, is EXTRE…

I'm a 24-year-old male and I had a 37-year-old fuck buddy for a wild and all too brief period of time. She was bi-sexual, a dominatrix, she had dated a woman for 5 years and she was totally out of her mind. I met her in an acting class and I had been attracted to her the entire time, but too hesitant to make a move. One on of our rehearsal nights, she wore a skirt because her character called for it. This was not typical of her usual clothing (more of a rooney mara, 'girl with the dragon tattoo'…

I think the irony of this story is that you didn't pull the trigger. You obviously have high self-awareness, but you didn't play into what seems to have been, very obvious signs. I bet if you played this differently you could have f-closed that night. Also, get used to bombing. Experienced comedian here, bombing is a lifestyle, but that's how you learn.

From the story, it seemed like her treatment of him was rude.

I guarantee that was the problem. She was probably dismissive because you were uncomfortable and because you were uncomfortable, so was she. You would be amazed what better posture and a nice, big, warm smile does to social interactions. Work on those things, I promise, you'll see insane results. And of course, practice makes perfect. Consider yourself a social scientist now. Lesson learned. Onto the next experiment.

It depends on the tone of how she says it. In this situation, it seems pretty clear she was saying, "fuck off." Whether she was a lesbian or has a b/f is irrelevant, she simply wasn't interested. You have to read it the girl/situation. If I run into a situation where a girl has a boyfriend I try to just play it cool and not be phased. Example: I approached a girl at a beer garden and we were laughing and having fun. I got her number and she mentioned she had a boyfriend. "Oh that's cool, I'm sur…

Pat yourself on the back dude. That's a big step and you should be proud. Not to mention, you liked it. Beautiful. Keep throwing yourself into the gauntlet. For future reference: Approach is everything. Stand tall, SMILE...there's your confidence. If you approach nervously, you've lost her before you've even gotten there. GOOD approach line, though. I use this one a lot, "I saw you checking me out from across the room and I was worried if I didn't come over and talk to you, you'd follow me home.…

Immediately J looks at me and asks me if I want to go. Another big mistake here is that I said "no". Why was that a big mistake? Couldn't one argue that following her would be a bad move? What are your thoughts here FutureFly? Overall, awesome FR. You remind me of a kid I knew in high school. Camp counselor. I worked at a beach club day camp for three summers and outside of college, there is no better place to meet single, young, hot women. What makes it particularly incredible is that your constantly being put into fun, social situations with these girls so if you have bad AA, its a nice little loophole. Also, in my experience, there were TONS of staff parties. By day we were swimming, chillen by the beach and laughing and by night, we were doing the same exact thing with bud and al…

This is a concept I have long struggled with. There is a major difference between being an arrogant jerk and being a confident alpha male. I used to think they were the same. It's been awhile since I read David Deangelo's "Double your Dating," but he would always reference this "cocky funny," type of humor. For example, saying to a woman, "you so want me." Your confident in yourself and maybe even a little cocky, but in a fun way. But how does this cocky, armor work when you run across a girl wh…

Though, I would say if you want to meet someone that's compatible, be who you are - and if it doesn't work, oh well. True, but my ex-girlfriend, whom I was once madly in love with, thought I was a dick when we first met because I came out swinging with sarcasm. It pays to be patient with sarcasm and wisely pick and choose your spots, but mainly, feel the person out...as we both agreed.

I am EXTREMELY sarcastic and my sense of humor is bone dry. Mostly, it doesn't work. It depends on the girl. Sometimes they hit me back with a sarcastic remark and we go back and forth and its awesome, but SO much of the time, they think I'm a dick. I've been toning it down lately and saving it for girls that can handle it and my results have been 100x better.

What a brilliant response man, I really appreciate it. For starters, unbelievable remedy and I really think I could have worked that over, if I stayed confident. Long story with the friends making me look bad. I was invited by the birthday girls brother and he doesn't seem to consider the concept of good "wingmen." Perhaps due to the fact that its his sisters friends and therefore, he feels like has no chance, but he invites some guys that are socially retarded Then again, some of my friends are…

I believe the exact mystery kiss method is: "Do you wanna kiss me?" If she hesitates, make a move. If she says yes, which will almost never happen, make a move. If she says no respond: I didn't say you COULD, it just seemed like there was something on your mind.

Do you think something like this would work at a bar? Or is it really meant for day game?
/r/seduction20/05/13 07:16 AM

I think this might be spot on. Your rant sounds like you've been blowing lines of cocaine; which is both good and bad. You're approaching, out of your comfort zone and making moves, awesome. But it sounds like you gotta chill a little bit. Not every interaction is gonna be great. My advice, check out the David Wyngant podcast from art of charm. I found it through the "New Here," stuff and its brilliant because it sounds like what you need to do is read the woman and just "listen," a little bit.

Second this. My ex-girlfriend was 18-years-old, a virgin and religious when I met her. It was all about me taking control. I literally just had to take her hand and lead the way, and after she got the hang of it, she gained some confidence and started getting freaky.

It might not be a bad idea to get there a little early. You might find others who are alone and therefore, be able to strike up an easy conversation. Also, just try talking to everyone-anyone. An employee, an old lady, an artist, a critic, whoever. It'll loosen you up and get you into "social mode." Maybe do a little research beforehand about the specific street artist (if they say who it is) so you have some background information if people start talking about him. Overall, it always helps me g…
