Last night a friend of mine invited me to a house party in LA. When we got there it was 8 of my guy friends (too many dudes, I know) and 8 chicks. It was a birthday celebration and all 8 of them were crowded around a small table.

We were familiar with most of these girls as we had partied before, but it had been about a year since I had seen any of them. One of them, in particular (hbfucking10 the way she was looking last night) I had brief chemistry with last summer, but I failed to make anything materialize. Story of my life. Ripe sexual tension and no pussy. Time to change that.

When I walked into the room it became a 6th grade dance, most of my friends started nervously drinking on the side, but I walked right in, big smile on my face and greeted the birthday girl. It's amazing what a difference a big smile makes. Then I greeted the HB10 with the same energy and she was like, "Been a longgg time." The slightest hint of flirtation, maybe.

Then I walked around the table to another girl and started chatting with her. I had remembered her from awhile ago. She wasn't attractive, but a nice chick and it helped me relax a little bit.

Mistake 1: there were 5 other girls I didn't even acknowledge. I started to get nervous. None of my friends were by my side, these girls were being a bit stand off ish (they sort of didn't even acknowledge our existence, which wasn't unusual for some of them in the past) and I retreated to my friends. Then I started drinking beers.

I tried to tell some stories to my buddies, get them laughing and riled up so it appeared we were having fun rather than being pussies and it worked to an extent, but 8 dudes, some of whom are horrifying introverts can be tough.

Soon enough music started playing in another room and the girls left the table and it became more of a lax social situation.

The first girl I spoke to was an HB7. She had just returned from Europe, after living their for 5 months, earlier that day. One part of my "game," that I've learned to tone done and even drop, is sarcasm. I'm painfully sarcastic and as I've learned, most girls don't dig that. Listening to Wygant's podcast I figured I'd just ask questions about her experience and listen.

I asked her about Rome, Amsterdam, Portugal, Spain, where she lived, her roommates, what her favorite place was, the food, everything. She talked and talked and talked and talked. I was staring directly into her eyes the whole time. Soon enough everyone had left the room, it was just her and I. That's when I became a little uncomfortable. I hadn't done any kino at all, which of course, was a huge mistake. You could consider me painfully awkward when it comes to kino, but I've been working on it.

We had sort of become lost in the conversation, but I simply did not know what to do next. I mean realistically, bring her on the outside porch and try to kiss close her, but I wasn't sure if this was mere conversation or something more. I could sense a slight attraction to me and she certainly wasn't looking to run away, but due to my lack of kino and no real sense of direction, I just walked away. Lame, I know.

One thing I wanted to ask though, is it bad to just keep asking questions? It was certainly not an interview and this girl could talk ALL DAY, so I figured it wasn't a bad idea. I don't know.

At the night went on I didn't have any interactions with the HB10. Then we left for a club and the girls were ruthlessly snatched away from us by the club owner and we were left in the dust. Classic.

So, the only way I'm thinking I can MAYBE salvage this:

With the hb7 I'm thinking I hit her up on facebook. I know thats lame, but I have no number and no other means of contact. I'm thinking I can message her something like, "Hey, I really wanna hear more about your adventures in europe. Let's talk about it over drinks this thursday, specific time, at specific bar." Thoughts?

With the HB10, I have chatted with her on fb in the past, when there was some chemistry between us. We used to joke about who was better at beer pong and made a competitive game over it. I'm thinking I might message her, "Oh my god, that club was incredible last night," because us dudes never even made it inside.

Any thoughts, opinions, comments or insults are welcome. I'm aware that's a lot of uneventful, uninteresting reading, but for the first time in my life, I'm really breaking out of my introverted shell and, trying to do what I've always been capable of doing in spite of the fear.

This community has really been the launch pad for that and at the very least, before coming here, I simply would have just done nothing and hated myself for it. For once, I can feel my confidence rising. Thanks guys.
