It looks like he beat the shit out of her. That's not just rough sex. Two black eyes is not something you get from rough sex. Unless there's solid proof of her wanting to get punched in the face, I'm not buying this narrative.

It also really depends on where you are. $10K in Manhatten after all the federal, state and county taxes will not make a comfortable lifestyle. You will be renting a shitty 2br, at best, and not saving up. $10K in a cheap European country - you can live an extremely nice lifestyle.

With the increasing automation 99% of us will be out of jobs. We will all sit on UBI, which we will spend on basic food, housing, services. People who say we will invent new jobs (which can't be automated somehow) or that we will all learn computer programming and robotics are just delusional.

Mental gymnastics. It says "slaves", not "servants". You asked "to find a New Testament verse that condones slavery", and I did it. Don't backpedal now. > And what people do 99% of the time to disprove the Bible as immoral is either quote something from the Old Testament I quoted NT, don't bullshit us.

> Most modern day Christians follow the New Testament side where morality is much less ambiguous and less situational. Try to find a New Testament verse that condones slavery. Oh, you haven't read the Bible. 1 Peter 2:18 Slaves, in reverent fear of God submit yourselves to your masters, not only to those who are good and considerate, but also to those who are harsh. Ephesians 6:5 Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ. …

I disagree. Morality is defined as "principles concerning the distinction between right and wrong or good and bad behavior". Slavery has never been right, nor good behavior. It has always been immoral. But at many points in the past many people just didn't give a shit, they were immoral. There's no good moral system in which slavery is good.

If slavery is not wrong in your moral system of choice, your moral system is absolute garbage. Slavery is wrong based on many things, not just some cultural norms.

Morality is a human domain. Many animals can exhibit moral behaviors, often seen in dogs and higher primates, but then your dog has no problem ripping apart a live squirrel, or a chimp has no problem ripping apart a smaller chimp just to show dominance. And we can't talk to animals, we can't judge their state of mind. I'm also pretty sure there's no consent in the animal world (besides humans). So you have to define the whole animal rape thing for me more precisely. If you want my moral judgemen…
/r/TheRedPill27/04/20 01:52 AM

Science doesn't enforce cultural norms. Scientific method doesn't have any part that says "people must do X". Some people do use findings of science (and pseudoscience) to introduce new norms. And some people try and enforce these cultural norms. These are completely separate from science itself. Like the "gender" pronoun garbage - complete pseudoscience, any many SJWs do try to enforce them. But this crap is based on feelings, not science.
/r/TheRedPill27/04/20 01:44 AM

No, it's not. Most of science has nothing to do with morality, it's just the best tool to study the world (that humans came up with). And you can use that tool to study what's moral. You don't have to, nobody is forcing you. You can still follow the Bible and think slavery is fine. Or you can use better tools than ancient texts written by ignorant people.
/r/TheRedPill27/04/20 01:35 AM

You aren't paying attention. I didn't say you derive morality solely from science, you start with the axiom of human well being. Then you go on to make many logical errors. Darwinian evolution doesn't operate in the realm of morality, it just describes how life has developed. Morality is separate from what happens in nature. For instance, it's completely normal in nature for animals to murder each other, even within their own species, even their young. I wouldn't consider murdering humans (and k…
/r/TheRedPill27/04/20 01:13 AM

For example, you can start with the basis of human well being. You build your moral system on top of that. Rape is objectively bad for human well being, you don't even need science for that. EDIT: But we also have a ton of scientific evidence that rape is bad for humans, if that matters to your argument. We have a whole branch of science called psychology that studies human behaviors, including rape and its effects.
/r/TheRedPill27/04/20 12:58 AM

There is no objective morality with religion. Take the Bible. Openly condones slavery (the easiest moral question ever, it gets it wrong). Often is fine with murder and mass-murder, contradicting the commandments. In the end, as you read any religious text, you have to rely on yourself to choose which parts are moral and which ones are not. That's why there are 3000+ subsects in christianty that can't agree on which parts are "truth" and which ones are "metaphor" or "allegory". And without a rel…

Bull. Shit. Female hypergamy is a fact. It's absolutely massive in its scale. I think a month ago I saw an article by some evolutionary biologist who was confused why according to his historical genetic research there was 1 man for 17 women ratio, as if huge populations of men never had sex and never procreated, but only a tiny minority did. We have more modern data from OKCupid that proves it as well. Women don't even consider the bottom 80% attractive.

If one were to steal your genetic material, they could do all kinds of things with it. They can absolutely make more of your DNA. They can sequence it and can store it forever, and then synthesize it into DNA again (though not cheaply at the moment).

We get vitamin D from the sun and from the foods (and now from the pills as well). The problem with getting it from the sun, you increase your chances of skin cancer. You need to combine all 3 sources. The best way, according to some recent articles I've read, is vitamin D fortified foods: salmon, tuna, dairy, egg yolks (also some types of orange juice, but that shit is loaded with sugar). Supplements are a lot less effective for some reason.

The Bible is not a good source of morals. It's a set of really weird commandments with some good ones sprinkled here and there. It condones slavery, for instance. It actually doesn't give you any tools to solve hard moral questions. If you need a book to tell you not to kill and not to steal, you have bigger problems.

Sure, it's definitely a problem, but an extremely rare one. How many serial killers and female kid fuckers are out there? One in ten-hundred million? Obviously there are other, much more common, race-specific problems. Like disproportional violent crime rates among blacks. You would be correct if the costs were roughly constant, but the automation will not only free up labor, it will increase productivity, increase efficiency, drive the costs down. I'm not a socialist, quite the opposite, but as a programmer who keeps getting updated on the state of machine learning, we're close to automating most industries at the rate when new jobs will not be created nearly as fast. So our options will be UBI or starving population. The second one is not really an option. We don't have to do the UBI with cash, it can be done with food stamps, rent stamps, internet/phone stamps.

We're quickly approaching the age of automation, and minimum basic income looks inevitable, to me at least. All basic human needs (food/water/shelter/energy) will be covered by the machines. Food is already close to being 100% automated, a few farmers can feed thousands. With vertical farming you will need even fewer people. So yes, right now many women rely on many men, but soon many women will rely on many machines and a few men that support these machines.

Seriously, stop pretending to be a doctor. Not only it's illegal, it's immoral.
/r/TheRedPill27/09/14 11:31 PM

You're not a doctor. What if the depressed person has a condition when exercise can cause complications or death? Yes, exercise is generally good for you, everyone knows this already, you don't need to refer to scientific publications.

Be careful with dispensing medical advice. The article talks about one specific type of depression.

Miley Cyrus, Lindsay Lohan??? Man you need to develop your taste in women. But yeah, good point.
/r/TheRedPill25/09/14 11:01 PM

That's bad logic. Just because something is old and was very popular doesn't make it right or moral. Slavery, for instance.

Don't call her out. Tell her something like "Why would I marry you at 35? You will be old and wrinkly. I would rather marry a hot 20 year old".

Still you can't argue that the dating scene here favors men As opposed to what? Areas with fat uneducated boring chicks?
/r/TheRedPill19/09/14 01:24 PM

Lesbians - probably. But so what? How does that stop you from getting the straight/bi women? Overweight - bullshit. Here's the CDC data on where overweight people are: http://www.cdc.gov/obesity/data/prevalence-maps.html
/r/TheRedPill19/09/14 12:58 PM

Well, looks like you bound yourself to a shitty cheap area, and blame the fact that only fat US chicks want to live there. You're the one who did this to yourself.
/r/TheRedPill19/09/14 12:32 PM
-1

No, you don't. What, you think 99% of the population there is miserable, and more people wanting to move there are morons? And what stops you from making $300K in NYC of SF? Plus these places let you experience all kinds of women from every country in the world, unlike some Redneckville with fat American chicks.
/r/TheRedPill19/09/14 12:11 PM

You should try SF or NYC. Tons of slim models.

Are you saying women have never been prosecuted for rape and never got prison time? Yes, there's a lot of pussy pass, but you still should try and defend yourself instead of just giving up.

Recording isn't illegal Depends on the state. Hawaii requires two-party consent for private place recordings. Massachusetts straight out banned secret recordings.

Me confronting somebody who shits on a whole group of people is "starting an argument"? Stop hamstring if you can't actually address the points made. You argue like a woman.

And who was asking your opinion?
/r/TheRedPill17/09/14 12:28 PM
-17

And what is the connection between the liberal view and the global warming? You put them into two consecutive sentences. Which you just conveniently failed to address. It just seems you want to engage in confirmation bias shitting on liberals while clearly knowing this sub is run by conservatives. So weak and lame of you.
/r/TheRedPill17/09/14 12:17 PM

Right there in your comment. Global warming rant over immediately followed by "how full of shit the liberal worldview". In the same fucking paragraph. Man the fuck up and own your words, don't hamster like a woman.

Global warming is a liberal worldview? You are an idiot.

They are only "libertarian paradise" and "leftist paradise" because you're completely clueless that one is a lawless shithole, and the other one is a totalitarian military shithole. If anything Somalia is a conservative wet dream no-government shithole. Indeed a dumb argument you've made. But I didn't expect much, these are the only talking points you're capable of making.
/r/TheRedPill21/08/14 09:13 PM

So because your mom experienced shitty government automatically means all the governments suck? Holy conservative "logic". If you want to experience what it's like to live without a government, I suggest you visit Somalia. I've lived in a few different countries across the world, and the US government is one of the relatively good ones. I'm not saying it's perfect, but it's lightyears ahead of what's going on everywhere else except a few places in Europe.

That's pretty gross. It's not any more gross than "spinning plates", which TRP raves about constantly.

Your story is so strange 1) She is horrible with money, yet you want to start a joint account. 2) You are married, but you don't have a joint account? I hope you realize that legally she has access to yours.

Perhaps people going for these arguably "easier" majors have lower IQs because they are.... I don't know... not smart enough to handle the harder majors Though you still need to explain why they have proportionally more women.

SF and San Jose are actually the most expensive areas in the country at the moment. Santa Cruz is #3. http://i.imgur.com/0709UFL.png Source.
/r/TheRedPill26/06/14 12:34 AM
7

Correct. According to Zillow, your total monthly payment will be around $1,850 - 1,900 (NY, NJ) and $1,500 - $1,600 (CA), depending on the area. And that's assuming you have a good credit score. US average FICO is 689. Though if you're 25-34, the average FICO is 655. So yeah, instantly add half a percent to your mortgage rate.

No, it's the conservative boilerplate. Republicans are increasingly anti-science and constantly push for fantasy-based crap, like creationism, abstinence only education, etc. Stop trying to project your political frustrations on this subreddit.

No, marriage has other benefits, such as hospital visitation rights, making medical decisions when the spouse is incapable, etc. These are the things gay people are fighting for, not some state-stamped pretty piece of paper.

You wouldn't believe how disorganized large companies are. We had months waiting for the next project, spent mostly browsing reddit. Plus when you're good, you can write code 10x faster than your average coworker, so you often work an hour a day, and you're still the most productive guy on the team. Plus I don't mind working hard when needed, considering how much they pay me. Then it gets even better when you figure out how to do contracting. Crazy hourly rates.

I make more than 130k with bachelors in CS. As long as you're good, and reject shitty offers, you can get to 130k in 4-5 years after graduating.
