15 Things to Remember

  1. Create the life you want to live. Do what you makes you happy, and give no fucks about how it makes others feel.
  2. Do not look to others for a sense of belonging or companionship. You will never find this from anybody. Instead, look to others to improve your quality of life. In order to cultivate this stream of thought, learn to love yourself.
  3. Love yourself. Put absolutely no one above yourself. Learn to believe and trust in yourself. If you love yourself, no one else can define you. Take care of yourself and be kind to yourself, because at the end of the day, you are all you really got.
  4. Release your anger. It’s important to get rid of built up and repressed emotions. Go hit the bag, hit the weights, get angry. Take it out on something productive. Go out into the middle of nowhere. Scream. Cry. Let it out. Do not hold that shit in.
  5. Practice mindfulness in daily life. Let negative, self-conscious, depressive, or destructive thoughts go. Do not identify with them. They are products of your mind, and your mind doesn’t always know what’s best for you.
  6. Have a mission. If you don’t have one, make one. We, as men, have an evolutionary drive to create, express, and conquer. If we lose this, we lose our manhood. A mission is how you fulfill this.
  7. Create progress by forcing yourself to do what you fear. You can only conquer an issue by making yourself uncomfortable. What you fear is where you go. Toughness is forged in fire.
  8. Failure is inevitable. In the face of failure, learn from the experience and continue forward. Do not allow yourself to be knocked off center. Expect and welcome failure; it’s how you grow.
  9. Set your own disciplines/principles, and follow them with rigidity. This will give you structure.
  10. Never take the easy way out. Catch yourself looking for cheap outs and vices. Get rid of these habits. They almost never serve your true interests.
  11. Always have something to offer. Have a fun life, be rich, be attractive; etc. The world doesn’t give a fuck about your feelings, but it does give a fuck what you have to offer.
  12. Isolation is dangerous. Do not isolate yourself. Always be making connections and taking advantage of social opportunities. Be proactive, not reactive.
  13. Have abundance in all aspects of life. In social life, with women, with finances. Do not let yourself become reliant on one commodity for anything.
  14. As for the people you keep around: It’s either fuck yes or fuck no. Invest your time in people who respect you and add to your life. Get rid of those who don’t. Life is short and time is your greatest asset. Don’t give it away to people who aren’t a positive presence in your life.
  15. Always be in control of your own life. The moment you find yourself losing control, it’s time to step back and re-evaluate your current position.
