meh eject...having been down that road...it's her not you. She decided you aren't worth it. What makes you think you will convince her you are.

the truth.....her story was a bit diff but it all eventually came out. As to "winning" mutual friends. IMO if they side with the offender, you arent losing much. The people that knew the truth, chose the side of truth. I really cant say I lost many at all as they had the same values I did and disagreed with what she did.

I would advise and did what was mentioned above. When we separated and things didn’t look like recovery I started doing cash back at groceries etc. while I didn’t siphon off a ton, I had enough to cover a consult or first months rent if I moved out, things like that.

Yup, eject. It sucks balls, you won’t understand it, you won’t get it, it will break your heart. But at least you won’t be living with someone who doesn’t want you anymore

Neither? Just a conventional loan thru Keller mortgage that got sold immediately to Wells Fargo. Wells Fargo was easy to deal with.

I kept the marital home, I have a set amount of time to buy her out or sell and split the proceeds. My plan is to rent part of it and pay her off.

Also it will mess with your head to see her not torn up about it. How could she be so cold, etc. They have already figured this out in their head, rationalized it, etc. They will not visibly be bothered by it.

Yeh it sucks. Dont leave the house, do not take less then 50/50 custody. Let her leave, cry on the floor, start to exercise. It gets better. You may feel like a failure. I have the feeling often. But i have to remind myself and others remind me that I did not fail. Marriage takes 2 people, she quit. Let her go. I know I can stand before God and others and say that I did all I could.

Yup, we were ok with kids or no kids. Decided to give it a whirl. She should have never had kids.....totally diff person. It "tied" her down, gave her mom brain, made her always tired, etc...

meh, I rake axiety meds, When my sperations and divorce started I was hampster wheeling somethign fierce. I got some meds in order and it has been a godsend. Sure exercise, counseling, etc are huge as well. But it can actually be a sign of self care.

I bought my 6/8 son/daughter a .22 for my first solo christmas. They will continue to get guns, and gifts that are lifetime gifts. My kida have asked for BB guns to be next, they will get pocket knives, etc. I dont care what she thinks of says. They told her when they were all in front of me. You could tell her inner cringe. This side of me was hated our whole marriage...whatever

Save every email OP, TEXT, etc that she says about how she cant do it, cant pay for it, cant support them, etc. File for 100% custody, and let her visit. It is not your fault she cant adult and parent.

It does get better. It takes time....ugly cry on the floor, let it out. It seriously helps. Keep your kids and what you need, and then get rid of her as fast as you can. Let her go. If they have made it to that point of stepping out, or filing for divorce, they moved on a long time ago.

As I just said to the other guy, she is only coming back for her benefit, or because her plan fell thru. If she was so committed she would have had a change of heart well before. While i would imagine this does happen, people do change, come to their senses, the damage is usually done. Im not sure my ex could say or do much that would convince me she has changed.
/r/Divorce_Men24/03/23 06:22 PM

Screw her, the only reason she would reconsider is if she can get something out of it, or her plan A fell thru, and she is coming back to plan B

I wish that dude would just eject.....she would be hard to please no matter what...

hmmm where to start...drink beer when i want, smoke a cigar, buy whiskey that I want to try(even tho i have lots at home). Buy tools i need, when i need them to complete projects Buy boots I want. Slowly getting back into the game, but dated a woman that LOVED sex....shocker Work in the garage when I want without guilt. Not go to the inlaws lake house EVERY weekend, yet hear complaints to stay at home or go to my hometown. Honestly not a lot has changed, because i did all the house, chores, and …

there is a lid for every pot. Find a woman than can keep up. I once thought it was all me as to why the lady didnt stay, support my hobbies etc. Just not the right lady.

your TLDR is spot on, basically her plan didnt work, and is gonna guilt you back to her....about the only way I would listen to the convo you had from my ex would be if she led with all the things she did wrong, that were her fault, and how she had worked on them.... dude i read your post, she sounds like a narc....run

So double check, in my state (PA) stuff and kids are 2 diff battles. DONT let them mix. Settle the estate, the kids are seperate. That said unless you have a court order that says she must remain close, she can kinda do what she wants with your daughter as long as she doesnt break the 50/50 deal. It's so weird.
/r/Divorce_Men21/03/23 12:38 PM

I guess it could matter. But many states from my understanding dont care about who stepped out etc. Just the numbers game. But if she is done, then finalize the process and get on with moving forward.

I mean every day there is some pain, lesterday it was coming home to the empty house without the kiddos, etc. But sometimes I like woman, you broke me, and Now Im the best i have ever been.

dude, give yourself some grace. I had the same issue. I made up for it with my mouth and hands. I am trying a different med that has less of that side effect. But at the same time I think some of it is mental. As to the girl, she will either understand or wont. If she doesnt, move on.

Dont know, dont care. I try to think of her the least amount possible.

oh yeh, its still an insult to the soul. messed up my "chi" for the day. I would love to bring it up to her to see her reaction as I dont think she has any idea i know what i know thru back channels. But that info will be stored away if I ever need it. For now the less i need to talk to her the better. I only talk when i need to for the kids.

$1500. When i initially called they quoted me like almost $8k. I was like this is crazy for you you to run a credit check, and a few documents. So i called back adnd asked for a break down and what what costing that much. As it turns out they had included county/state taxes as if it was a new sale. I guess some counties and states do this for an assumption and new deed. For me (PA, franklin county) it was just a new deed fee, no taxes at all. So i went from a heart attack at $8k, to $1500is OTD.

mine was a conventional 30yr mortgage thru Wells Fargo, Easy peasy

Just completed the assumption process. Super easy, kept my killer note terms, and it was pretty cheap.

I did, tried for almost 18 months of separation. But you can’t make your spouse want to stay

we almost share divorce dates...mine was the 14th. I will say that I have "dated" one, and flirted with a few. I straight up told the one that all she had to offer that I didnt already have was sex and companionship. She got a little butthurt. But honestly I was pretty guarded. It allows you to see thru the BS. dont be in a rush.

yup, I was the source of the issue and the one who was constantly given tips to improve and things to work on....this was in couples therapy.

Not on ED drugs. I eat semi healthy but do enjoy my beer. This is the first woman I have been with in 2+ years. I do think a lot of it is mental but what do I know. I do wake with a boner. But do struggle to get there by myself

Yeh, this if the first thing I have noticed. Not sure how much is the meds versus a new woman

You seem shocked? Women move on to what they perceive as the next best thing. It’s not you. You could be the best man alive and they will still move along.

She called your bluff to manipulate you. It didn’t go as she had planned, and is now back pedaling

Agreed. My self esteem is crap, but I’m slowly rebuilding me, doing the things she seemed to hate the most

I feel like I’m getting it back. I drink beer, wrench in the garage. Leave the seat up. Take my kids to outdoors stuff.

So maybe my title should have had a question mark at the end. But it just seems to be a trend. Sex is a chore, your man is another kid, and I want my Starbucks and target…

To the op, I’m there man. Many comments above have solid advice. I don’t have much more, than tomorrow comes, and you reset. I have to tell myself this on the hardest days. I’m still in the tunnel. But thanks for being real 🤜

Stay in the house, let her leave. If she wants put, let her do the work, let her get the lawyer, let her hire the moving truck. Go split your money now, or start siphoning off money if you are joint.
/r/Divorce_Men19/09/22 09:57 PM

IMO, that’s a pretty bad reason. Love is a choice, and action. Not a feeling.
/r/Divorce_Men14/08/22 09:41 PM

You are the fall back… you were good enough to be first choice, but good enough to be second choice… you deserve to be someone’s first choice

I think that all seems fair except the pension

Maybe I’m lost, but everything says it’s over. Why keep contact unless you have kids. I’m going thru a separation and I’m not hoping for divorce, but if that person wants to move forward, let them go. Focus on you and make a new life.
