In my mid-twenties, I was head over heels for a guy in his late-thirties who lived across the country in a posh metropolitan area. He had a “fancy” job title at a household-name company. I’d guess that almost half of FDS members and lurkers own at least one product that he personally was very instrumental in creating and have probably even seen his name in relation to the product. He was always inviting me to VERY exclusive events such as product launches and industry expos. I flew cross-country…

I was at my boyfriend’s house this weekend and he got a call from his sister who lives across the country. He went to the garage to take the call and I went to take a shower and get ready for the day. When I was done, I came back to the living room and I could hear him still talking to his sister, but he obviously didn’t know I was there. (Side note: We’ve been together for almost a year, but I’ve never met his sister since she lives so far away, and also they weren’t speaking to each other for …

My ex could never remember my parents’ names, even after five years and seeing them on all holidays and other times throughout the year. It always made me feel like he didn’t give a shit about me, because he couldn’t be bothered to learn the names of the people most important to me. It even took him a couple of years to remember my middle name.

Just a little story of something that happened this weekend: I currently rent and was telling my boyfriend of almost 10 months that when my lease is up in exactly one year, I hope to be buying a house. He responded with a smile “who knows, maybe we’ll be ready to live together then and we can get a place together.” This is the first time we ever directly talked about living together/the future, so I responded “not without a ring and vows I won’t,” to which he agreed. He brought it up again yeste…

Thanks for the info! When I Googled Helen Williams, I saw one site that said Vanessa’s mother was a model named Helen, and another said she was a teacher named Helen. Looks like she was a teacher, and the other site is mistaken.

Same here, when I’ve received that line in the past it was because he had found another woman. Either (A) I wasn’t putting out and he found someone else who did, or (B) I did sleep with him, but he found someone he thought was hotter/easier to manipulate/his dream woman. Scenario (A) - Some men just want to pump and dump, so if they haven’t been able to bed you in a few dates, they find someone else who is willing to have sex with them. There’s a good chance that he just pumped and dumped her an…

When I broke up with my ex, he told me that I’m going to have a hard time dating because I’m old for a woman (I was 32). He also said that men age like fine wine and just get better with time. He was 36, starting to bald and had gained at least 60 pounds during our relationship. The last time I saw him (maybe four or five months ago), he looked like he gained another 20 pounds, which would put him around 300 pounds at 5’7”. His face literally looked like a balloon that was about to pop, I’m wond…

I don’t think it works as often as they think it does, but sadly it works on some Pickmes because they want to try to convince or prove to him that they’re not (whatever negative thing he said about them). Those women usually have very low self esteem, which makes them easy targets for shit like negging and abuse.

If the question is “Am I being too tough,” the answer is always no. Remember that women have been conditioned to bend over backwards and cater to men, so deviating from the script even slightly feels like we’re being too tough. In reality, we’re finally learning to stand up for ourselves, and it feels so good!

When I first started dating my ex in 2014, he introduced me to his friend group of 20 or so people. I noticed an extreme overlap in the amount of people who were poly, into BDSM, and liked LARPing. Everyone in the group was into at least one of those things, but most were into all three. Others characteristics these people all shared: Unattractive. Most of the guys were morbidly obese, and the ones who weren’t were unhealthily stick thin with no muscle. Most of them had wardrobes that consisted …

“Maybe next time he leaves to fuck a woman from Tinder, you should offer to go with him and help! Threesomes really spice up a relationship. In fact, male biology is wired to require threesomes! Also, he’s looking at porn so much because you are now 21, which means you’re an old hag who has hit the wall. You have to understand that male biology means they only want young fertile girls, not used up roasties who are old enough to legally drink.”

My boyfriend is mid-30s and gets rock hard and occasionally can do back to back sessions. In my experience, in addition to porn, the other main factor that leads to soft dicks and bad sex is obesity more so than age. Every morbidly obese guy I’ve been with had trouble staying hard, in addition to a small dick (because there’s a huge fat pad that covers half of it). In addition, the sex is bad because they can’t go as deep (small penis + their huge gut gets in the way) and they’re not physically …

My boyfriend is an engineer, and the first HVM I’ve been with. 90% of the people I work with are male engineers, and most of them seem HV—married, seem to love their wives and family and always say positive things about them, and are respectful to everybody at work.

I feel like a real man would be embarrassed to have his fiancée showing off an $80 engagement ring. It’s a reflection of him, it just shows that he can’t and won’t provide for his future wife. I like to think that a HVM would want to give his fiancée the best ring he can afford, and he will take pride in her having a nice ring and showing it off.

My ex did the same thing, he would try to pressure and guilt me into threesomes. He even tried to gaslight me by saying that mandatory threesomes was a condition I agreed to in order to have a relationship him. Never once in my life did I ever agree to that, but he swore up and down that I did and even said that I was “violating the verbal contract” by refusing them. Now you delete, block and forget about him. Once you reached out to him, he’s now “trying to set up a date?” Sis, I don’t want to sound like Yoda but there is no “try”...he literally has to just ask you if you want to go to X place at Y time. This man is a loser who is wasting your time. Never reach out to a man after he goes silent. He was probably talking to someone else those two days. That’s what men like him do. Done with men who don’t know how to give gifts. I was recently thinking about how my ex literally never got me a gift. Ever, in the 4+ years we were together. At the beginning he would say “buy something on Amazon and I’ll pay for it”. Umm, I have a job, I can do that myself. Toward the end he used the excuse “Valentine’s Day/Christmas/birthdays are just made up capitalist money grabbing blah blah blah.” My current boyfriend on the other hand got me a Christmas gift and he’s not even a Christian…

I’m not who you were replying to, but thank you for such informative comments! It confirms what I had thought to be true. I had read something before that said men didn’t go around trying to “spread their seed” by having sex with every single woman who crossed their path, due to the fact that resources are finite. They would have children with one woman who was almost guaranteed to get pregnant instead of sleeping with dozens and dozens of women and having to spread the resources so thin by prov…

So tired of hearing men say “So what do you bring to the table?” Like what they bring to the table is so great and now we have to prove we’re good enough for them. This kinda reminds me of a woman I used to work with. She said she’d ask her husband to do things around the house (such as hang a picture or cut down a tree), and he’d always say “I’ll get around to it” and give excuses as to why he couldn’t do it right away. She learned that if she told her husband’s best friend about it, he would come over to do it. So tired of hearing men half-ass apologize for “charitably” ghosting because “I was wasting your time” or “you deserved better”. Everyone knows he ghosted because his peepee encountered someone or something else that made it hard. As soon as he (or more likely, the other woman) lost interest, he goes down his contacts list sending this same bullshit message about how he was “just doing the right thing at the time” by ghosting. I’ve always known that men look down on women who chase them, but just recently I was shaken to the core by a post I saw on FDS. It was a screenshot of an askmen post, and a man said something along the lines of “I’m leery of women who are interested in me. If she likes someone like me, what other kind of sleazy, lowlife, disgusting things is she into? I deserve better.” That “I deserve better” line was like a slap in the face. What a great, comprehensive comment! So many of these are things I saw in my last relationship, things I was gaslighted into believing were okay because “It’s the 21st century, men and women can be jUsT fRiEnDs!” or “It’s 2018, threesomes are sO FeMiNiSt and eMpOwErInG!” And I was “jealous”, “insecure” or “controlling” if I didn’t like it.

I can’t believe how many men do this. I had this happen years ago, and I thought it meant there was something wrong with me—either I wasn’t good enough because he wanted to do this, or maybe I’m just naive to be upset about it because all men do it, it’s nOrMaL and ExPeCtEd for men to do this! But really, now I know that the men that do this are the ones that have something wrong with them.

And if it’s not size, LVMs and NVMs will find a way to criticize breast shape, nipple size, shape, and color, the appearance of veins or nipple hair, whether the nipples are inverted or not, the direction(s) the nipple(s) face, breast perkiness or lack thereof, how they look in a bra, how they look without a bra, how they look head on vs how they look from the side, how they fall when you lie down, how dense they feel, whether they’re symmetrical or not.

When I left my ex, he told me “good luck finding someone else, because you’re 32 now and it’s hard for women your age.” Meanwhile he’s 36, and the best of all is that he’s a self-proclaimed “woke feminist.” And yes, I actually ended up having great luck because I wasn’t even looking for a boyfriend but I had a man heavily pursue me and ask me out. And apparently even “real” engineers are guilty. My boyfriend, who has a bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, said that while his job title is Engineer, he technically shouldn’t be called an engineer because he doesn’t have a Professional Engineer license. There would never be a show with “unattractive” women dating hot men. I’m glad you asked this question, I’m looking forward to the responses because I’d also like to know how to deal. A woman recently started working at my company. I rarely see her, except when I visit the people in her department (I used to work in that group with them). At 31, she’s close to my age, all the other women in the dept are 55+. That’s so smart of you! Thanks for the tip. It’s funny, they’re all about the love languages when it’s their turn to say their language is physical, because they use that as an excuse to say you owe them sex by date 3 or they’re out because it means you’re not “compatible.” Even though the “physical” love language was not supposed to be about only sex! And what I find even more egregious is these clowns using “love language” talk on date 1 or 2, for starters we’re not in love yet and let’s face …

Asking about his ex is genius! Because like you said, if he says she’s crazy, unmatch. But also, you can unmatch if he says something like “we’re still besties and I refuse to let any woman come in between the close bond I have with her. If you and I end up in a relationship, you can maybe meet her in six months if I deem you worthy of being in her presence. Also, she was the hottest, most beautiful woman I’ve ever met and I’ll never have better sex than with her. She and I still have lengthy co…

I understand that the answer is usually “talk about it and find a boundary that works for both of you,” but I’d like a different perspective to understand whether my boundary is overly strict or oppressive. You don’t get to make any boundaries regarding what someone else can or cannot wear. Period, full stop.

Nothing gets an incel off more than the thought of verbally demeaning an “old” wife’s looks and running into a younger, “hotter” woman’s arms—bonus points for fitting in Pornhub’s #1 category, incest. I think it gives them a sick feeling of power, since many men see sex as a degrading act anyway. It also sickens me when I hear about White men marrying Asian women and both the man and the woman are disappointed when they have a son because he’ll be half-Asian, and both parties of the relationship look down on Asian men. I have been trying for the 8+ years I’ve known her to get her away from that situation. Sadly she refuses to budge. A few years ago, he hit her and she actually called the cops and left him. Her family, friends and I were so proud and supportive. I remember her dad gave her all the money she would need for a lawyer because he hoped she’d divorce him. This. My last ex was disgusting, and I assumed it was due to laziness. Wrong. His parents, one of whom was a top ranking official at a local institution, lived in a $1mil+ lake house they had built at the beginning of our relationship. It was a shock to see such a nice, new place in that condition—if it was a horizontal surface, it was covered in junk and knickknacks. They also had three dogs and around five cats so you can imagine the fur.

To men, “just not be fat” for a woman = have an hourglass figure with large breasts and booty, with a flat stomach, and don’t go over the arbitrarily-set maximum of 125 pounds regardless of your height. It’s like that classic line on many guys’ dating profiles: “Must be under 125 lbs.”. Once I posted a relationship advice question/complaint online that had nothing to do with weight, and I got a PM asking me how much I weighed, along with a line telling me that if I’m “over 140” I have no right to complain because I’m fat and I better take what I can get. To me, even if someone is busy they can fire off a short kind text. Agreed 100%! If a man can’t spend 30 seconds texting you back, it’s because he doesn’t want to, not because he can’t find time. Hell, worst case scenario, there’s alway the time he’s on the toilet 🤣 Men have been using that “I’m sooo busy” excuse for years in order to ignore us and/or spend time talking to other women. Yup, some Pickmes see it as a challenge...they think they can show him how much better they are than his wife. The Pickme will want to prove that she’s better in bed, prettier, younger, hotter, whatever and the guy will eat it up. This is why Pickmeism is nothing but a boon for men. Ugh, reminds me of my ex. I’d ask him to watch something with me and a lot of times he’d only agree if we could “watch” it on the laptop while he played video games on the tv. Yes, he wanted to do both at the same time, and in fact said that’s the best way for him to watch something because of his ADHD. Funny thing is he never used that excuse of having to play video games at the same time as watching something when he watched porn.

I’d usually say no, it does not grow over time. But I have to ask, have you seen him in person, or only through pictures online? There is a chance that he photographs terribly and looks better in real life. I admit it’s a slim chance, but it’s possible.

My brother is 28 and still thinks farts are funny. I just got back from visiting my parents (he lives there) and we were all playing a game. I asked him a trivia question and for the answer he literally said “one second”, lifted his rear off the chair and farted, and said “that’s the answer” 🙄 Thankfully he has no intentions of getting a girlfriend anytime soon, if ever. He also has no intentions of getting a job or a drivers license...

Yeah, it was caste, so he said it was religion related and I didn’t know much about his religion. That’s why I was hesitant to comment but it seemed LVM to me. He always talked about how not only was he in one of the highest castes but also he was in a special subsection of that caste which was even more revered, and therefore he was always discriminated against. He even talked about how if we had kids one day they’d be discriminated against in America because they’d be white and Indian and appa…

This seems like a post he wrote to try to convince himself he’s okay with the fact that he never found another woman who “fit” like she did. Also, I’d love to see how hot and handsome this sexy hunk must be, the way he’s talking he must be perfection since he deserves “hot” women.

Yeah, I thought it was weird because in the past I’ve gotten a few messages from angry butthurt scrotes who were apparently triggered by something I wrote. One guy called me a cheap slut—it’s like dude, did you even read what I wrote before you sent me that love note? Because I am the complete opposite of that. I just ignored and blocked them all. I thought that maybe this could be one of those guys, trying to pretend to be a woman so I’d take the bait.

What should we do when someone sends us a message on reddit asking for advice, and says they are a woman/from FDS? I’ve frequently heard that when men like that are “ready to settle down”, it’s frequently with whatever Pickme is within arm’s reach at the time. Because they just want to “settle down”, which means either 1) they give in to parental/societal pressure to get married or 2) they no longer can “pull 9s and 10s” like they used to and they just want to guarantee steady, free sex (I threw up in my mouth a bit when I typed “pull 9s and 10s” 🤢)

My ex gained around 60 pounds throughout the course of our relationship and had the gall to comment on the 20 pounds I had gained. I broke up with him, and he twisted it to make it that he broke up with me because I wasn’t intellectual enough anymore. He said there are plenty of “hot” women in academia who will want him. And a lot of times, women share their stories, flaws and all, on here as a warning for other women who might be in the same or similar situations. I guess I let him hang out with his ex at first because I was naive —due to having a child, I have to maintain communication with my ex-husband, and there is absolutely nothing going on between us. I naively thought that would be the case for every grown ass adult. I was wrong. Also, gaslighting and manipulation is a hell of a drug, and that of course plays into it as well.

One thing you can do is in the very beginning—I’m talking first date—ask him what is thoughts are on porn, before you tell him you’re anti-porn, that way he doesn’t know your stance yet and isn’t tempted to lie. A lot of men will take your question to mean you’re comfortable/open with porn and maybe you’re even “easy” since you’re bringing it up on date 1...well that just makes it easier to eliminate those guys early on.

I don’t understand either. I mean, they supposedly all want new pussy daily anyway, so they’re going to get bored with even the hottest woman. If I couldn’t stop myself from imagining sleeping with every woman I saw, and deep down had a desire for a new woman every night (as a post I just read suggests is men’s true nature), I’d put less emphasis into my partner’s looks because no matter what I’m always going to end up bored and imagining other women during sex.

I was just wondering if men who employ this “hotness scale” see it as a bell curve, did some reading and found a reddit post from a guy who said 1-10 isn’t enough, we should use 1-30. Exactly, they think they can finally bang the mile-long line of 18 year old models that have been waiting for them. My family and friends used to love her...but they dislike her after what I’ve said about her to them. When I think of it now, it’s not even true. I’ve noticed a recurring theme where men badmouth their ex (or soon-to-be ex) when going through a breakup,l. I had this happen during both of my breakups. They ran to their family and told them all of our business, twisting it to make it look like I was the bad guy and they were poor, abused victims. Men always trash talk the woman and fail to mention…

My ex, after getting comfortable in our relationship, got to a point where he would shower maybe every two days, but wouldn’t use soap because he said 1) it’s a scam, 2) it’s not needed, 3) Americans are too obsessed with cleanliness, and my favorite is 4) his exes told him he smelled so good he didn’t need it. I stopped going down on him and finally admitted it was because of the odor. He tried blaming it on a medication he was taking but at least he started using soap again.

Wow, I never thought about it this way. My brother is five years younger and he could do whatever he wanted. In high school I had to ride the bus but my mom dropped him off and picked him up everyday because “kids are mean to boys and pick on them”. He never even rode the bus to find out if that was true, meanwhile I told her kids were picking on me and she ignored it and made me feel guilty when I’d ask her to pick me up once every two months. I was made to do extracurricular activities, I had …

That’s an interesting note about mothers and rabbis that I was unaware of. My boyfriend is Ashkenazi Jewish, and he consults with his mother a lot before making big decisions. I don’t think he’s a “momma’s boy” because he doesn’t necessarily do what she says, and I’ve heard him disagreeing with her and respectfully arguing his point, and will then carry on with his own decision. But it was odd to me how a mid-30s guy would always consult with his mom (who lives across the country) before making …

My NVM used to tell me that I only got to where I am because of privilege...I didn’t graduate college until I was 31, as a single mother who worked full time. Anytime I got a promotion or a raise it was rubbed in my face that it’s only because I’m a “privileged white female”, not because I’m a hard working college graduate. Not to mention I was only the second in my entire family (both sides) to graduate college, the first being my dad who did it in his forties also while working full time. When…

What a sad, pitiful existence. Though as a 33 year old, I’ve seen it so often. I can’t wrap my brain around how sleeping with multiple “hot” women is supposed to better than finding a loving, supportive partner and settling down. Surely sleeping with a person you love, with whom you get to spend everyday learning about each other’s body, has got to be more fulfilling than just chasing randos for one night stands.

I used to have these fantasies where exes would wake up one day and realize they’re old and alone and how great things were when they had me. I’d imagine they’d realize what a mistake it was to leave me or ghost me because I treated them so well. Well, I’ve come to realize that will never happen. Men like that don’t miss women. They don’t even appreciate what they have when they have it, and quite frankly they probably immediately forget about the women they took advantage of. They’re the type o…

I used to frequent a certain dating subreddit that had a rule about “no FDS language”. Once I saw a post on there from a woman who used the term “Pickmeisha” (the first time I’d heard of it) and saw that the commenters were being rude to her because they saw she was an FDS poster. That sub was toxic anyway, lots of “if a woman doesn’t offer to pay on the first date there won’t be a second” and encouragement of situationships and FWBs.

Pickmes like to respond to guys like this because they think they’re special enough that he’ll change for them. A pickme think she’s prettier, younger, and sucks dick better then “all those other girls” because she’s “not like other girls” and wants to prove it. And men eat that shit up. Any guy who advertises how terrible he is does it because he knows it’s like catnip to pickmes.

However, don’t forget that once they’ve knocked us up they’ve earned the right to a hot, sexy Dad Bod™! Another, from a past experience—“tenured professor” turned out to be an instructor at a community college, not tenured and a masters degree not a PhD like how he first claimed his title was “Dr. So and so”. Did you see in a later comment that person claims to be female? Press x to doubt. Edit: they literally say “I am female” not I’m a woman...that in and of itself is a red flag

Ladies, is it a HVW trait to ask a guy about his past relationships, or is that just unnecessary? My boyfriend of 5 months was showing me photos from a trip he took with his friends about 5 years ago, and one of them was a picture of him and a girl sitting together and he had his arms around her. I’m guessing it was his girlfriend at the time. He quickly moved on to the next pic and neither one of us said anything. I’m pretty proud of myself, my old Pickmeisha self would have probably been jealo…

And even if they did think you were his girlfriend, why would that have been so offensive to him? I can’t figure out why some guys act like this. You were out together in a date-like environment, of course people are going to think you’re dating. Not sure why some men get so freaked out by labels.

In fact the media is trying to get us to believe that “dad bods” are sexy and desirable. I recently heard an ad for a “dad bod” contest where shirtless fat guys would parade around and the hottest “dad bod” would win. Can you imagine if there was a “mom bod” contest? Would never happen. Which is ironic, because when a man becomes a father, he experiences no physical changes whereas a woman becoming a mother gains weight and possibly get stretch marks, sagging breasts, tears downstairs etc. But w…

I was thinking about this yesterday actually. When I was married, we had a small boat we’d occasionally go out in. He would purposely go fast whenever we passed over other boats’ wakes, causing the boat to go in the air and slam back down on the water, which made me uncomfortable and scared me. I’d tell him I was scared and he’d belittle me and said I was scared because didn’t trust him, which made him mad. Meanwhile the guy I’m seeing now likes to jet ski. He has a performance model that is one…

I had a look as well. Its so funny reading them say “wow she looks so real!” about a doll with perfectly smooth skin (not a freckle or a blemish anywhere), a waist so small I can wrap my hands around it, and breasts that are perfect spheres the size of cantaloupes.

She’s in her early 30s now and married, with three kids. So happy that she found a man in her 20s who loves her and now they’re just enjoying family life. Much better than what I did, wasted my 20s with LVMs who loved me but were trash, and NVMs who didn’t care about me at all but I PickMe’d my heart out for them lol

I read something from one of you ladies a few days ago (don’t remember which thread it was in) that said you’ve always got to be ready to leave a guy at the drop of a hat. I’ve been thinking about that a lot this weekend. Even though things have been really good with the guy I’ve been seeing, we’ve only been together for five months and I can’t get too invested this early. I’m having to reframe my mindset that has been warped from past relationships with LVMs. So I want to say thank you for bein…

Oh my god, he’s 36?? Just a few years older than me?? I used to think I looked young for my age, but man if this is what 30s really looks like...I wonder if younger folks see me and see this guy and think “yup they’re about the same age”. Nothing wrong with aging or looking one’s age, I think we should be proud but DAMN this dude looks older than my dad who’s pushing 60.

My ex would use that to try to find threesomes (spoiler alert: nobody was interested). Apparently where I live that app is mainly used to solicit and peddle drugs anyway.

This is honestly one of the only things I hate about being single—the fact that my daughter doesn’t get to have a stepdad like this, and she doesn’t get to see a man treat her mom with love and respect. She has her dad but we divorced when she was young, all he did was scream at and argue with me and now she says he just screams at and argues with his new wife. When she was 5 until around 10-11, I was with a guy who was a pretty good stepdad, but he was garbage in every other aspect and an LVM. …

I like this arrangement as it proves to me she is not with me for my money. Obviously I would not be with her for her money as she is a poor college student. He’s obviously not with her for her money, he’s obviously with her because she’s young and naive and nobody his age would put up with this shit. Of course he likes this arrangement. So tired of women having to bend over backwards to prove we’re not gold diggers while men get to dig for the youngest, smallest waisted, biggest titted because …

I think that’s sound advice, but I think that 2-3 years might be even shorter depending on age. I’m in my 30s, I don’t want to waste 3 years waiting for a guy to decide if he wants to marry me! His over 30-year-old ass shouldn’t wait that long either!

When we were in high school in the early 00s, my best friend loved meeting 21+ year old men on chat rooms (I know). Once I was at her house for a sleepover and she was IM’ing one of these dudes. He kept saying his name was Mike. Anyway, she ended up giving him a bj in his car at the mall parking lot for his birthday and later that day she asked for his full name and he told her that his last name was Hunt...that was obviously a lie. I think we were 17 then, the dude was like 24.

I was the same way, for the first two years or so in my last relationship with an LVM. Then when I started realizing my worth, and told him that would no longer work, he accused me of bait-and-switch, whining “you used to be so happy just watching me play video games, now you expect me to entertain you”...umm no, I just used to put up with it because I didn’t know better. And I don’t expect you to entertain me, but some conversation and acknowledgment that I exist would be nice.

Started taking longer and longer to reply to texts. Quickly removed anything I tagged him in on Facebook. Wouldn’t answer my calls, and would instead call me back at some weird obscure hour for a two minute conversation before he had to go. Told me “Sometimes I just don’t feel talkative and want to be left alone” yet would hang out with other people and blow up social media with pics of his adventures with them.

I have no social media unless you count reddit (and I don’t, since it’s anonymous). I got rid of Facebook in 2016, and never had Snapchat or Instagram (I’m in my 30s and those weren’t as common with people my age as Facebook). I love that no social media means less drama in my life, and less self esteem issues.

Reminds me of working in a grocery store in high school, 15 years ago. We had a grocery rewards program and if you didn’t have the card, we could look up your account by your phone number. A lot of interactions with males went like this: Me: “Hi, how are you doing today?” Scrote: “555-867-5309!!” (yells phone number for rewards program, ignoring me and my question) It’s been 13 years or so since I worked retail but now I work in an environment where I see a lot of very young military men, and I …

Are you me? I had the exact same thing happen—I had a boyfriend who has multiple female friends, one of which was an ex-girlfriend. Anytime we had relationship problems, he would run to her and they eventually stopped asking me to hang out with them. He was big on wanting to have a threesome, would talk about it all the time. One day he comes home and tells me this girl “just happened to bring up the idea of having a threesome with us, I didn’t even say anything to prompt it, she totally just wa…

I recently realized how sad it was when my reaction to seeing my boyfriend’s house for the first time was “oh my god, this is so clean!” And in reality, it wasn’t above and beyond sparkling and squeaky clean...it was just a normal, typical house but I had been so used to trashy men that I thought it was special. And by trashy men, I mean my last ex who somehow had poop stains on the side of the tub next to the toilet when we first started dating.

The last guy I met online told me he was 6’, and in reality he wasn’t more then a few inches taller than me and I’m 5’6”. Not only did he have it listed in his profile, but on our third and final date he told me “At 6’, I’m the shortest in my family! Haha lol We’re all giants”. It was cringy hearing him lie so blatantly. I had no plans to go on another date with him after that, and thankfully the trash took itself out because he never contacted me again after that date. Guess I don’t have a poke…

I got a text the day before Valentine’s Day from my last ex, apologizing for treating me the way he did and blaming it on being in pain and also wishing me a happy vday. I ignored it and enjoyed flowers, chocolate, and a waterfront seafood dinner with the guy I’ve been seeing. The same ex only got me a gift for one of the three valentines days we were together—he got me a bouquet of flowers and he had bought another bouquet to give to our “friend” who was “hanging out with us on Valentines Day b…

Thanks, that’s what I was thinking too. One month in, fine I get not introducing me but now it shouldn’t be a problem. We were talking about it at dinner yesterday (and he did get me something for Valentine’s Day, he got me a dozen roses and took me out to eat) and it sounds like I get to meet them next month when they visit. I’m hoping that he keeps up the HVM behavior, this has been the healthiest relationship I’ve ever been in. He has a good job (he’s an engineer), saves 30% of his income, he…

My good friend is married to a guy who claims to be an audio engineer/studio owner and he is the most LVM I’ve ever met. Makes no money, doesn’t have a real job and demands that my friend comes home from work, cooks dinner and mows the lawn while he sits in his “office” on the computer all day. He claims to be a very religious man (she is a faithful Christian as well) and he uses that to manipulate her, telling her that she has to respect him as the man of the house. He even told her “the Bible …

I’ve been with a guy now for three months and tomorrow will be the test, I’m curious to see if he’s going to acknowledge Valentine’s Day. Things are going good so far and he’s exhibiting HVM traits but I’m not ready to call him HVM yet after only three months. Back when I was the Queen Pickmeisha, almost 6 years ago now, I once met a guy online and then paid twice to fly to him across the country. When I was at his place the second time (five months later), I helped him clean his washer and dryer because it was covered in a layer of dust an inch thick. I also showed him how to vacuum his fringed rugs without messing up the fringes, and I think I even cleaned up the disgusting kitchen. I also called 911 for him because he had a heart condition that req…

My mom taught me FDS values and I was too stupid to listen until recently, now that I’m in my 30s and have had two failed relationships (one was a marriage) with LVMs. She used to say that her mom (born in the 1930s) always told her to marry a guy who loves you more than you love him. She also told me to never marry a guy who you have to beg and plead to get up and go to work/take care of the family. She’s still married to my dad, who is a great guy who when he married my mom took her daughter (…
