Friendship dynamic between men and womenYeah people can lie but there is some form of attraction behind friendships with the opposite sex. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 21/01/23 09:49 PM
Friendship dynamic between men and womenI've noticed that girls won't make an effort with you if they don't find you attractive on some level. I've had no girls who are friends for this reason. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 21/01/23 09:04 PM
Besides sex, do you even like women?I think it's a good but loaded question. I don't think women have ever given me the chance to like them. They are always guarded in my experience. The few who have not been like that I genuinely like. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 17/01/23 06:08 PM
We know women love hot guys. But the average guy doesn't focus on looks-maxxing. Why?Looks maxing does nothing. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 10/01/23 05:33 PM
Do you see any correlation between men’s ability to attract platonic bonds and his ability to attract romantic bonds?I have many male friends(although not all that close) but terrible with romantic relationships and female friends in general actually. We just don't click. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/01/23 10:53 PM
Is there actually a point working out?My decent looking is on the back of working out. That's my point it doesn't make a difference unless you have exceptional genetics. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/01/23 10:48 PM
Is there actually a point working out?You can't change bones | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/01/23 10:31 PM
Is there actually a point working out?I'm five foot 8 with a terrible frame. I get height logged everywhere. If I stand beside a fat guy who isn't a neckbeard just eats a lot I get mogged to oblivion | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/01/23 10:14 PM
CMV: If you're contented being single, then a romantic partner/relationship is already redundant. The you have to be content alone sorts don't really get the idea that you don't have to be perfect to be in a relationship and even at your best, relationships will endure tough times. You can be flawed and be and find love. However for some it seems that this doesn't work. They(we) have to reach a level of perfection before we are worthy. We just don't fall into relationships the way others do. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 05/01/23 01:00 AM
CMV: Sadly, objectifiying women is the only thing that works(at the start). To be fair I did begin with the word sadly. I am having a hard time of late. I've never wanted a relationship more and have experienced a pretty brutal rejection recently where I feel completely rejected. It's like I have no hope of finding that person and this thread is in response to that. The guys I know who have girls obsessed with them completely objectify the girls they're with. Meanwhile me who leads with romanticism can't get anyone. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/01/23 09:41 PM
CMV: Sadly, objectifiying women is the only thing that works(at the start). The guys I know who do well with girls dont put too much stock into them as people, they're interest in them is to bang them. They don't treat them bad but the sexual attraction is what keeps them invested. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/01/23 05:27 PM
CMV: Sadly, objectifiying women is the only thing that works(at the start). It's not treating them like shit but as a prize to be won. Objectifying doesn't mean treating them bad. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/01/23 05:25 PM
| -5 | CMV: Sadly, objectifiying women is the only thing that works(at the start). What I an saying is that a lot of guys who are successful are because they objectify women. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/01/23 05:24 PM |
CMV: Sadly, objectifiying women is the only thing that works(at the start).I'm just toying with the idea. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/01/23 04:57 PM
Why is niceness so harmful to romantic relationships? That's what I mean. I can understand guys with bravado and gusto being fun to be around and I can see why girls are attracted to them but I don't see why they tend to have the monopoly over girls the way that they do. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 30/12/22 09:16 PM
Why is niceness so harmful to romantic relationships? But I've never been abused. I just don't get girls. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 30/12/22 07:04 PM
Why is niceness so harmful to romantic relationships?Great Post. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 30/12/22 06:35 PM
Why is niceness so harmful to romantic relationships? Is it the bare minimum though? I contend that niceness is damaging more so than anything. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 30/12/22 04:50 PM
Why is niceness so harmful to romantic relationships?Sounds like me. Just know that it's not our fault. We're jovial sorts who love hanging out but we aren't great at leading it. I wouldn't be as obliging and passenger like as the guys you describe but I'd be mostly laid back about things. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 30/12/22 04:47 PM
Why is niceness so harmful to romantic relationships? But why is it weak? Its just a personality trait. Why do you need to be peacocking to get interest? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 30/12/22 04:12 PM
Why is niceness so harmful to romantic relationships? But its not about being a doormat IMO. Most interpersonal relationships don't revolve around conflict. You won't notice if someone is a doormat till later. Being nice is an energy more so then behaviours imo and the enetgy seems to not be attractive to women. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 30/12/22 04:00 PM
"just be a good person" and other stupid shit that people give as adviceThe problem with the advicebis that it actually hinders you. I know average guys that get girls/women but they wouldn't get them if they were good wholesome guys. Being unpredictable, brash, reckless all have helped them get girls that they otherwise wouldn't. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 30/12/22 01:37 PM
Men should appreciate better what porn has done for themCringe | /r/PurplePillDebate | 19/12/22 05:41 PM
A lot of you people don't understand what personality isI disagree tbh. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 18/12/22 06:30 PM
Where do you recommend meeting women?I'd choose irl everytime but I don't think it's better. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 17/12/22 11:12 PM
Where do you recommend meeting women? Will it? I find on the apps people are judging you through a romantic lens. In normal life I just get lost in the mix but on the apps I do pretty well. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 17/12/22 10:15 PM
Are women hornier in a different way than men?In the officr I work in the girls always talk about hot guys in the office. The guys I work with don't. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 17/12/22 06:13 PM
The "Nice Guy" is a scapegoatIMO, the nice guy is too broad a term. I think there is a type of guy who will find relationships hard despite having high levels of empathy and otherwise desirable traits for a relationship. My take is that there is a lot of responsibility dating a nice guy and girls have been conditioned to not be the ones who hurt the guy as all songs are about how the aloof Chad hurts the girl. I think it's the breakdown in the traditional dichotomy between the sexes that hurts guys like this. I believe the … | /r/PurplePillDebate | 17/12/22 01:42 PM
What's your unpopular dating opinion? Something you truly believe based on lived experience, but would get down voted to all hell if you said it?Neither thanks | /r/PurplePillDebate | 13/12/22 11:21 PM
| -1 | Women tell men to stick to their league, but women are attracted to one type of men - those out of their leagueNobody owes anyone anything. Attraction is attraction. There's nothing just or fair about it. You're attracted to what you're attracted to. You decide the trade off. Go after someone who is your exact type or lonely. There's nothing wrong with that. Everyone is free to do what they want and are also entitled to moan that people they like don't like them | /r/PurplePillDebate | 30/11/22 11:26 PM |
What's the appeal of the bad boy?Not true. Guys want to be there for girls they wouldn't run away(if they like you) | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/11/22 08:06 PM
What's the appeal of the bad boy?Yeah bad boy is a swag and deamnour, not some hardened drug dealer. It's the opposite of the nice guy however for some reason the price bad guy does well but the nice guy doesn't. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/11/22 08:04 PM
It is just harder and therefore lonely and sad for a lot of guysOkay, I still contend its completely overstated here. Females is a neutral term, there was no bad intentions in my use of the word in the opening post. Signalling it out is stupid. Context is important. In the same sentence I wrote males when referring to men. I could day guys or lads but girls don't have the same collective word to describe them. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/11/22 03:51 PM
| -1 | It is just harder and therefore lonely and sad for a lot of guysWill you stop. Females is used to refer to women and girls. I'm 33 so feels weird saying girls and women seems too formal. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/11/22 03:25 PM |
It is just harder and therefore lonely and sad for a lot of guysI realised there's no ill will or good will involved. Life just is what it is. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 09/11/22 01:24 PM
From an evolutionary psychology perspective, why do men willingly choose to prop up other men?Someone said I looked like him so I wanted to see. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 28/10/22 01:42 PM
I hear a lot of people say that women "aren't rocket science" When it comes to dating. I disagree wholeheartedly. It can seem that way but it's your mind playing tricks. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 26/10/22 03:25 AM
Are most men with women that they are not physically attracted to?yeah it isn't personal for me. That same person I'd smile at and hold open a door and chat to them but the thoughts of them in a sexual context elicits such anger in me. Interesting that's what you feel with the old pervs. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 25/10/22 09:35 PM
Are most men with women that they are not physically attracted to?Stupid choice of words but they fill me with a disgust feeling. I think it's an internal thing though because it's like I fear this is what I'd have to settle with if I was to settle. I concede that and it's a horrible way to view the world. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 25/10/22 09:15 PM
Are most men with women that they are not physically attracted to?Most people rightly are slaves to biology and will compromise but some of us just don't care that much. It has to feel right. We just don't feel strong attraction to most people. Like I love hot girls but I don't want a hot girl who I have no in with. I hate ugly girls so have no time to be with one. Everyone is different. Some people are more stubborn and selective. Some peopl3 just want to be loved at all costs. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 25/10/22 07:46 PM
From an evolutionary psychology perspective, why do men willingly choose to prop up other men?Yeah I've noticed this too. But status can be local. In my country rugby is put on a pedestal and while the players aren't celebrities it's actually worse because they are just like elevated normies. At least with celebrities they live in their own bubble but these rugby guys exist as part of the overall society | /r/PurplePillDebate | 22/10/22 03:01 PM
From an evolutionary psychology perspective, why do men willingly choose to prop up other men?Look at athletes. We give athletes status by investing in their careers and idolising them. This allows these athletes to climb the social hierarchy and gives the athletes access to riches(sometimes), social status and women. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 22/10/22 02:55 PM
When men ask “why do we have to do the pursuing”, show them this. It’s not women’s fault. It’s how we are wired. Evolutionary example:Nature is brutal. Genuinely feel for the peacock here. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 22/10/22 10:41 AM
| -1 | "Men only notice attractive women". Is this really true?Well by the very definition you notice people you consider attractive. I am pretty harsh I have to say but if a girl is slim and well out together she'll probably at least catch my eye. Too many girls are fat though or just unshaped whether through genetics, not caring or a combination of both. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 21/10/22 08:59 PM |
bluepillers completely misinterpret social statusYeah Reddit hsd this weird coping mechanism where they think people can ring-fence certain environments. No. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 20/10/22 09:58 PM
| -3 | bluepillers completely misinterpret social statusAm 33. I just think localised social status is so important. I was at a work function with some female co workers(younger than me) and they were gushing over the actuary guys | /r/PurplePillDebate | 20/10/22 07:50 PM |
bluepillers completely misinterpret social statusAstute | /r/PurplePillDebate | 20/10/22 06:30 PM
bluepillers completely misinterpret social statusDepends where you're from man. In my area everybody lifts. Lifting is just a basic requirement. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 20/10/22 06:12 PM
bluepillers completely misinterpret social statusSee the thing is not all averages are created equal. It's a micro battle of social status where every little bit counts. You could have two guys who look to have average staus but in women's mind they are calculating and deducting their own and the guys social status. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 20/10/22 06:10 PM
| -3 | bluepillers completely misinterpret social statusYeah but I'd argue after a certain point it's hard to claw back. You really want to be getting into this stuff early. Lifting is different but I'm a bit pessimistic about lifting and it's role in attraction. Frame is probably more important. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 20/10/22 06:08 PM |
| -1 | The reason average men struggle to physically attract girls is because its only exceptional traits that even begin to arouse a woman, let alone not repulse themWomen are definitely visually stimulated. It's often bizarre the type of guys they like though. Its more physical, girls will really only comment on big rugby looking guys. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 20/10/22 01:59 PM |
This subreddit is 9 years old. How has it changed?I'd imagine it might have embraced the reality that average girls don't have it great either. The problem though is that average girls tend to be girls who just don't stay in good shape for whatever reason. Any slim girl be it through exercise or luck will generally be considered attractive | /r/PurplePillDebate | 19/10/22 10:24 PM
Women: What are manners you look for in men you are dating?People on reddit always give such a skewed insight into how most women think. Most guys I know who do well are just sort of loud, funny, irreverent. Earnest guys don't get the girls. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 19/10/22 08:47 PM
Do men lie about their physical preferences in women?Hahahah luke combes | /r/PurplePillDebate | 03/10/22 09:07 PM
Do men lie about their physical preferences in women?Meh a fat but non neckbeard big guy can pull hot women imo | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/10/22 11:42 PM
CMV: one simple trick to not have a shitty relationshipYeah exactly synthesised perfectly. Moat guys wouldn't even think like this though because they're irrational too and will partake in the drama just enough without losing frame so as to placate this need. It's a soci dance that lots of people do unknowingly. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/10/22 07:40 PM
Where did the ‘nice guy phenomenon come from?Great Post. This is a huge factor. My dad was a jovial yet serious person. He wasn't like your dad but he had that charm you speak of. The problem was that he suffered with whether or not he was a good person and while he was a slave to his impulses and character he could make his son not turn out like him. But he went too extreme and overly emphasises the importance of being a good boy. This was the highest thing I could aspire to in his eyes because to him success and failure were always close… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/10/22 07:21 PM
CMV: one simple trick to not have a shitty relationshipPeople are not rational. Lots of people don't want to be happy, at least all of the time. Anger is always irrational but we are irrational. A rational relationship is a dead one unless the girl has been so badly burnt that she just enjoys the boring consistency of a stable relationship. Girls like to moan and batch about their boyfriends, girls only leave beta guys. A girl will put up with a lot of shit from someone she has given the green light to initially as long as he holds frame. Lots of gu… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/10/22 07:12 PM
Where did the ‘nice guy phenomenon come from?Probably reflection of their parents values or something. My dad by his account anyway was a ladies man in his 20's and I always feel had a desire to experience the thrill of being with the opposite sex. However as he got older he was ashamed of some of the stuff he'd done which I gather wasn't all that bad tbh but he probably wasn't as loyal as he could be. The problem was he took it one step too far with me and over the years conditioned me to think that being nice was what you need to be. That… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/10/22 05:23 PM
CMV: Dating for hetrosexual men isn't about getting a girl it's about finding someone who you are compatible itI agree with you. Could be true for the poster but even then, he wants someone who is similar enough to him that he's bothered with their things and perspectives. Very few people are so open as to want to be with somebody completely different. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/10/22 05:15 PM
When Red Pill groups and general manosphere spaces talk about how hard it is for men like them to get matches/attention on dating apps, why do they never bring up the gender ratio of users on those apps?If it was Chris Brown they probably would | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/10/22 02:55 PM
When Red Pill groups and general manosphere spaces talk about how hard it is for men like them to get matches/attention on dating apps, why do they never bring up the gender ratio of users on those apps?Women do not like men like that or want men like that. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/10/22 02:10 PM
Weird ass question, but why don’t women like to be treated like objects?A hot girl won't want to be called hot but an average girl probably will. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 30/09/22 11:33 PM
What is a "bad personality," and how do women automatically know you have one before you even talk to them?Yeah Reddit has this odd idea that having endless amounts of hobbies is what makes someone interesting. It's not sadly. Most people's hobbies become one dimensional. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 24/09/22 06:56 PM
What is a "bad personality," and how do women automatically know you have one before you even talk to them?Personality is just how you project yourself to the world. Some guys are boring but have an energy while some guys are interesting but don't emit that energy. Whatever that it is, is ultimately the deciding factor if a guy is attractive for his personality or not. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 24/09/22 06:13 PM
Good looking men are more confident than their counterparts as a result of positive re-enforcementYeah plenty on insecure people ooze charisma. It's more than confidence, it's energy. I don't think it's looks, maybe masculinity. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 23/09/22 10:49 PM
What kind of man pays Rich Cooper $1,000 an hour for 'coaching'?I also think with that type of business model you just need to get one or two lovers, gullible.peoplw with the money to just give it a go. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 18/09/22 04:12 PM
What kind of man pays Rich Cooper $1,000 an hour for 'coaching'?Most guys have the ability to be a simp but paying for Rich Cooper personal consultations or some Only Fans page is bordering on insanity. I think people do it because they either just enjoy seeing what their money can do or they have so much self hatred that they get off on worshipping some girl. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 18/09/22 04:10 PM
"Status" is probably the most overblown and ambiguous RP concept for attracting women.I will trust you. It does seem a lot of women get over/don't experience it as much as some women do who never really get over that 13 year old fascination with celebrity stage. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/09/22 03:23 PM
"Status" is probably the most overblown and ambiguous RP concept for attracting women.I don't know if that's so true tbh. I'm also not saying hot girls/women get to set the agenda but to be fair, the women these guys get are probably top percentile. So it's a little bit coincidental that hot girls get with status gods if it's a case that status isn't important. Obviously for lots of women it's not as blatant as this and there's a particular type of women with a particular look who will proactively chase this kinda guy but I'm convinced these guys status would captivate just about… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/09/22 02:01 PM
Being boring, uninteresting, not having a lot of things to talk about, not having hobbies, etc can be a bigger turn off than being ugly. Some people just have a wait of convincing people that their life and experience matters. My friend isn't a great storyteller and says the same generic shit all the time but his extroversion shines through and he manages to get attention. Other people could do the most interesting things and then just compartmentalise it . It's not that they didn't love or care about what they did they just don't have that same ability to make things seem "epic". This doesn't mean people are saying 'have you met my friend such and such' and setting people up, just that people are meeting in the same vicinity as their social group and they foten overlap | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/08/22 06:04 PM
Should your standards be set internally based on what you want and how you see yourself or should they be based on the results you are getting and how others may see you?The guy should go for what he finds attractive but the invisible hand decides his faith. It's not because of the benevolence of the becky, stacy or lisa that some relationship is formed but out of the mutual selfishness to get the best that they can get. The type of people who tell the 'ugly' guy to settle just don't want to face up the chaos and harshness of dating dynamics. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 07/08/22 06:59 PM

In a way what might help us deal with women's pickiness is to imagine a world where girls weren't like that. It would be terrible imo. The yin and yang of romance/male and female dynamics works because of how different both sides are. It's shite when you don't experience the good sides of this but if and when you do it makes it worth it. | 5 | Jealousy drives much of the resentment displayed herePeople just want to feel like they matter, that their solipsism will be confirmed back to them, stop trying to make it something else. People are sad, lonely and feel unworthy and love with someone they deem desirable promises salvation. They idolise those who seem to have what they crave on tap and yet can dispose of it without a care in the world. | 1 | "It was the same back in the old days" is a common misconception among the younger posters on hereyour problem is trying to take what people are saying at face value. people are sad and just creating a narrative, all we all want is just for someone to like us, to experience relationships and companionship and romance and not to feel like we're shit. | 1 | A simple take: The two all-important and most fundamental basic masculine traits that attract women is strength and ability. That's so interesting and exactly captures my experience. In a way I don't mind it, the rules are less confusing than Europe/America but can be disheartening when you're so used to being one way but they value something completely. different. I actually noticed in the few times I've been in Bulgaria since my relationship ended that you don't necessarily see the better looking guys with hot girls. A lot of the time a lfie guard does sweet fuck all but its a job that gets respect even though they're twiddling their thumbs most of the time. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 19/07/22 12:22 AM |

Are women attracted to ambition or results? That's a very extreme example; what about someone just plodding along living their life like the vast majority of the billions who inhabit the globe. There's no salvation in 'pursuing your passions', some people have some interests and talents that are rewarded by our capitalist regime but the vast majority just have to get up in the morning to pay the bills. The problem with attraction is that it seems to be tied into this idea that everyone is just one idea from being the next Jeff Bezo's with… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 18/07/22 11:29 PM

A simple take: The two all-important and most fundamental basic masculine traits that attract women is strength and ability.Maybe cultural(my ex was from the Balkans but an educated girl) and I always remember her saying part of what she found sort of a turn on was that I could look like an asshole to others and nice to her. It made no sense because literally the one thing I'm known for is being a nice guy but in her fantasy projection I was this type of guy. As she knew more about it or just broke out of the projection every so so often, she always mentioned how she couldn't believe how nice I was and I think it rea… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 18/07/22 11:11 PM

Redditors always say treat women like people and not objects to be won but the way dating has gone encourages this sort of thinkingIt still doesn't change the fact that a man pulling a women in effect is a conquest. Yes relaitonships tend to feel less like this but often a conquest will develop into a relationship. But redditors act like this is abomination even though women are complicit in this dynamic. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 11/07/22 02:05 PM
Redditors always say treat women like people and not objects to be won but the way dating has gone encourages this sort of thinkingYeah true. Redditors mean the best and I don't have any Ill towards then but they view the world through a very optimistic lens in my opinion. Reddit will in general have much more introspective people than the rest of the population, especially women. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 11/07/22 10:29 AM
| -2 | Redditors always say treat women like people and not objects to be won but the way dating has gone encourages this sort of thinkingIt's not really what am saying to be fair. | -2 | How addictive is the alpha male gaze to women?Alpha male is a real thing to enough people. In before some absolute Reddit spastic says that the study was debunked in wolves. Okay, well it applies to humans not wolves then. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 07/07/22 03:07 PM |
Well funded audio-based dating apps have all flopped. That's proof that personality isn't as important as people say it isIt's more complicated than that. Like yourself, I dunno, maybe, there's something else at play. I think a lack of self-awareness really helps with women. There must be a high correlation between introspection and poor success with the opposite sex. I don't know why that is. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 07/07/22 12:42 PM
What would your recommended course of action be for a man in a similar situation?I don't know if standards are an issue; at that height you're looking to find a unicorn so you might as well just go after people you find attractive and hope somehow they had a childhood that means when they see a small little man it resonates with them and they feel 'home' in his presence. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 07/07/22 12:26 PM
Women are absolutely clueless as to how much more difficult dating is for menYeah. I agree. There's nothing that can come of it. Someone equated this with the feminist movement lol. It is a completely different dynamic outside of human judgement, morals and persuasions. Because some women reply on here, Red Pillers and others act as if there is a collective 'womanhood' to fight against as if you all convene to analyse and discuss your preferences. Some women do seem to take up this role on here and try to act as if there is an overall fairness to the game but there is no… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 07/07/22 11:05 AM
Well funded audio-based dating apps have all flopped. That's proof that personality isn't as important as people say it isOne thing that Reddit(not the red pill) gets so wrong is this idea that 'good personality' men invariably do well while bad personality men do not. The problem is there are many personality types that would be considered good but still struggle to attract women. It's not so much you need to have a good personality, just one that meshes well with the female mind. I'd say the biggest thing is to not be nice. Niceness is like the worst thing you can do to attract a women, it just relegates you to a… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 07/07/22 10:21 AM

Women are absolutely clueless as to how much more difficult dating is for menHalo Effect is incredible, even when you know its there you just can't help but imagine it like a movie romance. There's a calmness that comes from that sort of relationship that doesn't exist for the average guy, most of the time it's like fight or flight because attraction can turn off like a switch and you know there's always some other guy just around the corner. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 07/07/22 12:34 AM
Women are absolutely clueless as to how much more difficult dating is for menHot guys have better relationships and are probably better partners to be fair. | 14 | Women are absolutely clueless as to how much more difficult dating is for menI've seen it myself. Tbf jerks just means someone who isn't noticeablely a nice person. | 1 | Conflicting desires about wanting women with ‘standards’We need to be clear about what a hot women is? Is it a bonafide knock out or just girls with good figures with varying levels of facial cuteness/prettiness ? It's so hard to know what people are referring to. My sis for whatever reason struggles with weight, she is a good looking girl and can carry it well but she could definitely be lighter. She puts such a premium on slim petite girls so even a decent looking girl is inflated in her mind. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 05/07/22 04:40 PM
The average man does not "overestimate" his own attractivenessWomen with conventional good looks(and the bar is low, just slim and fit) don't have body issues. Flumpy girls who overeat/don't exercise have body issues and rightly so. Any girl I know who had a good figure was happy to show if off. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 05/07/22 04:24 PM
The average man does not "overestimate" his own attractivenessSee part of the bullshit of love is this idea that it's two kindred spirits coming together for no other reason than some intrinsic essence causing each one to attract. When it's put out on the table we can all see the bullshit that is love. Lots of people never have to consider their attractiveness; they just get into relationships and that's that. This allows them to fuel themselves with the lie and myth on which love is built on. And I've been guilty of it too. When it works, it's lovely howe… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 05/07/22 03:56 PM
Conflicting desires about wanting women with ‘standards’That depends on the standards we hold people to. My pictures are up here. I consider myself to be a solid 5.5-6. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 05/07/22 02:37 PM
Conflicting desires about wanting women with ‘standards’People want to feel valued by people they deem to be valuable. I don't find the most gorgeous girls the ones I like the most but I do find conventionally attractive girls attractive, I want a girl who I feel is my match, that's it. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 05/07/22 11:12 AM
Regarding rising 'sexlessness,' percentage of young people who've never had sex or a relationship do you think have never even made an effort? The problem is some of us are turned on by different things. It is very rare I'll be so compelled to ask someone out because of their looks. I consider myself really superficial but there has to be more than looks but looks are a pre-requisite for interest. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/07/22 08:24 PM
What's the difference between men and women who do enjoy dating, and those who don't?I am social but I don't enjoy how forced a date is. I'd prefer to just meet someone and have fun with them, too much pressure just sitting there and having to find commonality. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/07/22 05:49 PM
Do most women acknowledge the fact they have very high standards and that the man they want probably has way less and doesn’t ask for much from a woman?I'd love to know what the bassline reference point for these men with lofty expectations is? Is it Mountain dew drinking live in moms basement types or just relatively average guys who care about how they look, workout, studied, work a decent job etc. It seems there is such extremes and people talk in such hyperbole on here. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/07/22 03:42 PM
What do you consider the ideal body (for the sexes you're attracted to)?Just be slim. Height I am ambivalent about; my ex was 5'3'' and I am 5'8'' and I liked that as time went on and there was a certain harmony to the heights I felt but I liked her for her aura and face. I've liked girls taller. I don't think I'd go for shorter but then that's just in theory. I kissed a girl taller than me before, didn't look weird in person IMO. Again just be slim. I don't like the Kim K look or variations of it. However, I'd be attracted to it on some level, it just isn't me. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 03/07/22 10:31 PM

Is it true that women get their hearts broken by good-looking men in their youth and then settle down with nice average looking guys when they're done with the toxicity? The less good looking the guy is the less power he has. Good looking guys can decide their destiny; be a good guy or fuck girls over. An average guy has to put up with what is available. It's why better looking people are better partners. Think about crime, areas where there is much scarcity experience more crime. Like society, there will be more fractures where there is more scarcity which average guys deal with. It contributes to bad relationships and average guys are demonised for having phys… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 03/07/22 02:41 PM

New book "Don't Trust Your Gut" summarizes who OLD works for, and who it doesn'tWell tbh we have to define our own parameters and it's a bit sad if we can be so swayed. I like shorter girls because I am five foot 8 and I just think it looks good if the girl is 5'3-5'5 but I am still attracted to taller girls than that. That's just my general idea that sounds right in my head in theory but practice is completely different. I don't think attraction can be captured in something like height. It doesn't reveal anything. It's not like I pre-select for girls in that height range a… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 03/07/22 12:55 AM

New book "Don't Trust Your Gut" summarizes who OLD works for, and who it doesn'tLook not all women are the enemy and this thread will go down the usual route of 'well it's just OLD, people have preferences, it's not the real world, they have to filter somehow' but this is stark. Dan Ariely, a reputed academic is publishing results on this stuff. This stuff is brutal and it's becoming more common knowledge. Perhaps this will cause women to become more introspective or maybe it will only further perpetuate the 'tall is good' bias because right now the internet is turning tall… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/07/22 10:07 PM
Where are all the good looking people IRL?It is rare tbf. The most beautiful tend to be beautiful in flashes but there's times where they're just regular people. I don't know why but it's like you could get a Chad but put him in some unremarkable surrounding and he'll be unremarkable. However, have him hit the town later that day and he'll be in the cubicle at the hottest club in town getting blown by some thot | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/07/22 08:32 PM
So called "post-wall" women are even harder to attractIt's harder as you get older. I don't know where the alternative view comes from. The stakes are much higher which inevitably makes it a much bigger deal and because many are risk averse, it's better to do nothing and maintain order than possibly bring about chaos. Never EVER ever waste your youth 18-25(maybe 30, which tbh isn't a lot of time) are KEY. After that, just get used to whatever life you have or end it. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/07/22 04:12 PM
Should you show your weaknesses & vulnerabilities to women that you are dating? It's not so simple. I always feel compelled to give brutal realisation awakening answers but I think that belies the reality and says more about my insecurities/worldview than what things are like. However, vulnerability has to be combined with respect. The girl has to have respect for you, if she grows not to then your vulnerability will be weak. You don't gain respect by being virtuous, it can be but not necessarily. You might be a guy that can get many girls, you might be rich, you might be a… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/07/22 02:38 PM
The PPD claim that only idiots are influenced in relationships by romcoms and the media is completely wrongYeah I remember my friends used to say I looked like Mosby as an insult and watching it back years later, at his best, the guy is a really good looking dude(by 2005 standards). Maybe they were secretly complimenting me. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/07/22 01:52 PM
If a girl is gonna have casual sex, what kind of guy and why?People say that to men all the time, in fact men always put women on a pedestal. | 1 | What are your thoughts on lying about sexual inexperience to avoid a catch 22?Has ruined my relationships. Thankfully my ex, as much as I dislike her as a person now(I don't really but I have a lot of resentment for the relationshop ending) was loyal(after much deliberation) and we managed to have a 4/10 sex life but when it was good it was good I just couldn't perform enough but when I did we had great sexual energy. But it ruined the dynamic of the relationship completely. A man is meant to be strong, this puts you in a vulnerable position far too early. | 47 | When the subject of women’s abundance comes up women like to say they have “no good options” but this is nonsense. Women have plenty of attractive, desirable men interested in both LTR and hookups, they are just insanely picky. It's actually a big deal to get into a relationship with someone tbh. The problem is when you see good looking guys without any issue all of the time because it's not possible that they all have good personalities. Most people are normal and at the end of the day there has to be something that causes people to bond. if not it would just be a free for all. | 3 | How does age preference for a man change throughout the life of a woman looking for the physically most attractive man?Men don't get better looking with age as a rule but you can stay pretty much the same between 25-40 if you look after yourself, get lucky. I think what people really lose is that spark though because life becomes very mundaine; there's an energy that youth allows to be exhibited that becomes harder as you age. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 30/06/22 09:04 PM
How do normal people pair off?I mean I could be better looking but a t shirt should look fine to good on someone who is fit and healthy. T shirts look bad on fat people and unshapely people, it's like leisure wear, looks completely different on fit people than it does on some street hobo. Anyway your post doesn't have a lot to do with the thread. And getting some hair treatment isn't the difference between being attractive or not. | 3 | How do normal people pair off? That's not what am saying. I get your point to a degree but it's too extreme. It depends on what type of girl you're describing but I generally wouldn't like the 5 hours to get ready type. Plus a lot of that time is wasted and isn't reflective of the effort put into their looks. They could get the same result in an hour. I literally work out 4 times a week, play soccer 2 times a week eat extremely well, value my appearance. That's an outrageous take tbh. Most people consider me good looking I am just too shy/not forward enough romantically for a guy my age. A plain t shirt is a timeless classic. As long as you are fit and lean, a t shirt like that is a staple. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 30/06/22 07:42 PM

She probably didn't really truly empathise with me. I was just a generic, maybe good looking foreigner to her. | 3 | If the theory of 80/20 rule is true (which it seems to show on online dating) what explains the mismatch in attractiveness partnership irl?Women's preferences can be succinctly captured by big. Big dick, big personality, big frame, this all explains these looks imbalances. I know one relationship where the guy looks good but in an understated average way and the girl is a knock out. One of the hottest around and they've dated for years. It's probably the most wholesome relationship(from a guys perspective) but he might have a big dick for all I know and he was always a respected assured kinda guy. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/06/22 11:10 PM |

This is obviously false and used to once again diminish our struggles. This is true. To be fair it makes sex seem crass and is a good way to undermine the posters struggle but keep in mind, those Redditors don't care and why should they? | 2 | Has anyone else observed that women tend to characterize men they find cute or wholesome as being... sexless?I agree with this, I wrong use the word masculine but girls who have a certain type of personality seem to be more about raw visual looks whereas more feminine minded women are drawn to other stuff. The girl with the 'masculine' personality can look very feminine it's not about looks. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 03/05/22 09:49 PM |

Why is dread so successful?I keep telling guys on the breakup page and women to a less extent, the only way she's coming back is if you were playing around, kept her on her toes, acted aloof, maybe cheated, even if she dumps you she will think back and romanticise you. If you were a good guy and she dumped you, it's over, that girl isn't coming back. It's about respect, girls in a perverse way respect the former. | 5 | [CMV] Telling men that relationships aren't a source of happiness is bad advice and invalidates their feelings. The problem is not the advice the problem. Is when you have been deprive dof something your approach and view on it will be entirely different to someone who can experience said feeling more easily. I envy people who just get into relationships, they don't have to reconcile their pickiness or their desirability. They just get into relationships with people they like and who like them. It's a natural human dynamic but because so many of us have not experienced this naturally | /r/PurplePillDebate | 20/04/22 04:34 PM

What constitutes a 'bad boy'? A lot of posts have been about bad boys recently.A bad boy is a cringe lable. It's basically just a guy who is a bit of a prick, has likalble traits but it's the type you'd envision your daughter dating. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 18/04/22 05:24 PM

There might be some girls who over time become annoyed by extroverts or discover that it's not all it's cracked up to be but the natural inclination is for women to gravitate towards extroverted people. It makes sense but why did evolution have it that men developed introversion if it is so destructive to their mating strategy? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 16/04/22 01:25 PM |
Watching Real Madrid vs Chelsea here - A perspective on shorter guysYeah but it's about positive associations. If you're whole life you've been conditioned to think of the hot guys as the speedy, nimble, shorter guy then you might subconsciously just feel that this is what an attractive hot guy looks like. I don't know if girls actually care about who was good at football or not as a teenager but there did seem to be some correlation. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 12/04/22 09:15 PM

Men are shamed for wanting women equally or less attractive than them and acting frustrated when these women act like they are out of their league, yet women act entitled to men far more attractive than them all the timeDoes this actually happen? | 1 | Male entitlement is the sole reason for their widespread lonelinessFor sure. I get it. I also just don't think the medium-plus chunky would be my type nor me theirs. | 2 | Male entitlement is the sole reason for their widespread lonelinessI wouldn't date the average girl who doesn't exercise. In that case I want someone who isn't average. These were people talking on a geopolitical podcast and in their 40's. What was once viewed as fit and in shape has drastically changed. I feel what is muscular has been changed by inflation; you have to have top percentile muscular growth and frame for it to make any difference. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 27/03/22 07:20 PM

Is there a way to hold frame so that if someone like Dan Bilzerian came knocking you'd be able to keep the girl you're seeing?IMO or how I have come to interpret the red pill is just this type of society/dating market that is cold and calculating and far removed from the romantic idea of love that we were told about or saw our parents experience. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 21/03/22 11:30 PM
Is there a way to hold frame so that if someone like Dan Bilzerian came knocking you'd be able to keep the girl you're seeing?Jeter does the rounds! I literally only know him because of his infamous stories. Guessing she was hot! Funny you just took it like a man, the last thing to do would be to be a wimp but easier said than done. Maybe he's just so famous that it nullified the pain and shame? I'd probably find it easier to deal with a top tier celebrity than some IG fuck boy cheating with my girl. | 2 | Is there a way to hold frame so that if someone like Dan Bilzerian came knocking you'd be able to keep the girl you're seeing?Yeah but he's a particular type of gutter trash. I sometimes think I am in a solipsistic hell and Dan bad boy Bilzerian is there to torture me. He is like a caricature of the type of man who does well with women(not wholesome, bit of a bastard, thrill seeking ( but ironically funnily he is actually shortish. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 21/03/22 08:37 PM
Is there a way to hold frame so that if someone like Dan Bilzerian came knocking you'd be able to keep the girl you're seeing?tbf it's not that improbable. A girl I know was in his house back in 2014, not sure if he banged or not or if it was a rumour but wouldn't surprise me. The girl would have been out of my league but I'd know people who know her so while improbable and unlikely, something to consider. | 1 | "Let women come to you" is the best way to remain sexless your whole life.True, I see why people think that you should just linger and wait for the girl but I think it misunderstands how attraction works. While online dating is a real thing that does seep into normal life, in actual reality it's not as simple as swipe right for the next better option. The reward in her mind and thing she fears not getting is the relationship. | 3 | Who do you think has the most in-built sense of external hierarchy? Men or women?Yeah that's what it seems to me as well. The good thing is as you get older groups don't matter as much so the alpha male matters less(at least in friend groups) as things become more diffused but at 16-21 this was a real killer. The alpha guy will still have his domains though. The more I see it the more it seems all these tropes about younger girls with older guys, hot girls with ugly guys, it all comes down to the 'alphaness' of the guy. Only alpha guys can pull this off. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 25/10/21 12:10 PM
Who do you think has the most in-built sense of external hierarchy? Men or women?I feel like an attractive guy though, especially when in a relationship so my attitude while in the relationship would have been more like, if I can attract x then I'm obviously attractive to loads of girls. I didn't think that 'I better hold on tight to this one', it just felt like a natural fit and I felt no desire to chase other girls. | 7 | The way women see men on TV, movies, Netflix or any medium to show off your status, proves that women only appreciate what they can get but will always want more if it's attainableAbsolutely. I think girls have more of a fantasy about relationships than guys and I say that as a (former) hopeless romantic but whereas guys probably just crave unconditional love, women want something much more elaborate and idealistic. I'll use my ex as an example(again) An overall nice person in many respects but instead of just judging me on my own qualities, I was always compared to this ideal of masculinity, perhaps her first love, the image she had fabricated of the biological dad she n… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 25/10/21 11:15 AM
The way women see men on TV, movies, Netflix or any medium to show off your status, proves that women only appreciate what they can get but will always want more if it's attainableI don't think it's that bad. My ex always paid her way but always I got the impression she could just jump to anothet guy. This is a toxic mindset to have tbh and achieves nothing but once you start thinking about it that's it. It's super important to maintain frame as much as you can so this type of thought process only makes things worse. Awful | /r/PurplePillDebate | 25/10/21 10:16 AM
The way women see men on TV, movies, Netflix or any medium to show off your status, proves that women only appreciate what they can get but will always want more if it's attainableStatus doesn't matter for me at all tbh. I never once considered it a turn on. The only time I consider it a turn off is if the girl implies that she's low status and talks about how other girls(which means conventionally attractive) care about such and such but she doesn't. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 25/10/21 09:37 AM
The way women see men on TV, movies, Netflix or any medium to show off your status, proves that women only appreciate what they can get but will always want more if it's attainableIt's a bigger problem than people think. It also shows the power of status on a more local level. The guy doesn't have to be Louis CK, just moderately known and respected. I don't know what to do with this information, it just makes any relationship feel fleeting and shallow. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 25/10/21 09:34 AM

Then when I get erections I can't nut. We had some great sexy time but was few and far between and it was never certain when I'd get a boner so killed the mood. We lasted for a year but probably only had sex 10 times I am sad to say. I was in a college dorm in 3 european cities, I lived with good looking guys, I saw them bring over girls but they were never on rotation, there was no harems. | 3 | What if the "bad boys" women prefer are just disagreeable?Yeah legit, the way my relationship ended was weird and I feel can only happen when there isn't a natural female male dynamic where the girl just basically shuts off completely and ends it. For me sex has always been about acceptance and feelings of being worthy, whereas for them it seems more about the actual act itself. Ugly people don't find other ugly people attractive they just know realistically this is the best they can get. This is why it's important to have dating experiences young(25 is young but you've formed your preferences by then) I would have been much more open at 16 or 17 to dating certain girls than I am now. When you go so long without a relationship you have much more to lose so you're less inclined to just get into a relationship with anybody. It's bad but just how it is. He passed away 2 years ago but when he had me he didn't want me to be anything like him. | 10 | What if the "bad boys" women prefer are just disagreeable? Some of us just don't care that much. I have strong views on ideology, politics, the way the world is going but I don't give af where I go for dinner. It just doesn't matter most of the time to me. I can't pretend to care. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 24/10/21 12:37 PM |
What if the "bad boys" women prefer are just disagreeable?Nothing is ever that black and white. I have friends who fit the description, they're bad guys in some ways, I have friends who are always single who are better guys objectively(more genuine, honest, kind) than these guys but it's the 'bad boys'(who have perfectly good qualities) that have been with girls, doesn't matter if it's a relationship or nightclub hooks up, they've had the monopoly. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 24/10/21 12:34 PM
What if the "bad boys" women prefer are just disagreeable? The problem is it's all about perception. I am not agreeable in many aspects(for instance I a contrarian by nature and go against the grain, things like BLM, LGBT, I have strong views on these movements(rightly or wrongly) but in one on one social interactions I am, I just prefer compromise and this is seen as a weakness. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 24/10/21 12:31 PM
At what point do certain "media driven" preferences get adopted, if at all?Sure I get you. But that supports my point about how these pretty arbitrary preferences become ingrained. Suddenly, men with height and dick are perceived as high quality mates. I know they might always have been but it becomes a hyper competitive dating market where those with the perceived valuable feature end up at the top of the pecking order. Having said that, I'd still find my ex for instance hot if she had a bush down there. I don't think it would influence my overall attraction. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/03/21 07:49 PM

Watched 500 days of summer and read Reddit interpretationsI think my bias watching the movie is an aversion to hook up culture. Also, Tom's character didn't seem like someone that a girl would have FWB buddy relationship with so feels weird that it developed like that and Summer was happy to do that. I think summer was happy to make the cake and eat it; enjoy the relationship aspects knowing that Tom was falling but never really getting to that stage herself. Tom was happy to live in lala land. I don't think his 'THIS IS NOT JUST ABOUT YOU' outburst wa… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 02/12/20 12:41 PM
Watched 500 days of summer and read Reddit interpretationsAnd I think with that, I can put my 2 day fascination with this film to bed. That was a brilliant read. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 01/12/20 11:29 AM
Watched 500 days of summer and read Reddit interpretationsSo well put. But, do yo not think that love is just a game of delusion? The feeling that there's one right person for us at all times in our lives. Summer wasn't who Tom believed her to be, but she also was. We are two people I think; the person we are when we think to ourselves and the person other people perceive us to be. Summer grew tired of Tom's projections but it seems to be possible that she was happy to play along with the projections of the guy who was right to her. Look at how she exp… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 30/11/20 11:26 PM
Watched 500 days of summer and read Reddit interpretationsSorry, I didn't mean I am as handsome as him hahaha, I mean I'm roughly proximate to the type of guy he's meant to be in the film. Standardly handsome, nothing particularly stand out though, I think when he imagines himself as Harrison Ford when he's high on life indicates that in the world of 500 days of summer, he's a standard good looking guy. In reality, JGL would be the best looking guy you'd see on a typical week in most area. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 30/11/20 10:14 PM
