Yes because there are many insecure attractive women. There are women who aren't fat but think they are.

Overweight, nevermind obese women are unattractive to me. That's just how it is.

Also, if some people are less gifted due to bone structure, it's not comparable in any way to height since you can actually change it, and it broadcast poor eating habits.

I've been wondering the same thing. They throw it out there as a rebuttal to women having standards, but they're likely shitty themselves and also have standards (no fat women).

It just seems unnecessarily hurtful. My BFF and maid of honor has struggled with weight all her life due to PCOS. If you don't want a fat woman, fine, but there's no reason to insult someone.

You can have any standards you want.

If you don't hold yourself to those standards, you're being ridiculous.

Weight is extremely important to judge attraction. Especially to men.

So if she's fat, that's a NO for most guys.

It's not insulting to say "no fatties". Women say "noone below 6ft" all the time.

Also, if you have those standards as a fat woman, you're gonna be single for a while.

As a thin woman, seeing men on Reddit talk crap about overweight women doesn’t inflate my ego at all. I personally have never been placed on a pedestal (romantic & social life) for being skinny in the same way that plus sized women are celebrated for their body type. Irl I only hear men fawning over “curves” and I see plus sized women getting married all the time, having numerous relationships, and being spoiled by their loving bfs or husbands. Also, the media for the past few years has been all about plus sized women. I remember when there was a huge weight gain trend before the supplement they were using to slow their metabolism was banned.

I really don’t think this line of reasoning that non-fat women will get big egos due to men insulting fat women is correct. However, men constantly complaining about “fat chicks” is annoying to me because the rate of fat women and fat men in America is about equal. There are slightly more obese women than men but slightly more overweight men than women. Overall, too many Americans in general are fat, but people only talk about the women. Guys don’t tend to see themselves as fat until they’re very obese, so that means lots of the guys complaining about fat women are fat themselves.

Another issue is that people deserve to be treated with love and respect by their partner no matter their weight or appearance. No, someone who is fat or ugly isn’t entitled to someone fit or attractive. But they still can absolutely have standards for how they are treated and what kind of person they date. Fat women can still want someone who is an intellectual match, insist on waiting for sex, or reject a fit guy who happens to not be compatible. Same for fat men. “All these fat chicks expect to be treated like princesses!” ...or do they just expect to be treated like people?

Overall, I guess I just think we need to get it straight that nobody has to find anyone attractive, but everyone is entitled to basic human respect and to be treated well by whoever they date. That means women aren’t obligated to find short men or men with small dicks attractive either, but there’s no reason to pick on people because they don’t meet your standards.

Riiight... because women today are the "good guys" who only choose partners based on noble merits. LOLOOL. Can we drop this tired old trope already, that women invest in "good" men while men are just shallow and after "good looking"?

The reason that women don''t recognise their own preferences is that it's a female privilege to be picky as fuck. Even other WOMEN look at women's "deal breaker" list and have a good chuckle.

hmm i know a lot of men who used to be "no fat girl" men but they all settled for chubby, fat, obese, or overweight women anyway.

If they really gave a **** they would move to a country that had very low fat rates like in China especially if they're white they could do extremely well assimilating into the culture.

the truth is guys don't care too much as long as she has a good looking face & is completely std/sti free. When this comes up i've seen the most HVM I know completely get unattracted and appalled to fucking a 10/10 women with diseases, even more so than an actually fat or obese women. Health is much more important than any wealth or resources a HVM knows he can easily acquire. Quality of life is the most important thing for his success.

Because weight is something that can be controlled if you just have a little self discipline. For men, desirable traits such as a good hairline, tall height, large income, good jawline... are not so easily obtained (women don’t need to be wealthy, have a good career or even need to be a certain height in order to be considered feminine or attractive)

because weight can be changednand even then men are still subjected to harsher weight standards as it is hugely more diffiult to get the chiseled cheekbones +jawline look so pushed on men than just being normal lean
