Can you build the foundation of any structure on a sponge? There needs to be something of substance against which your relationships can develop. Don't be a sponge

Reframe this question. when you push two magnets together and they are on the same poles, which of the two can be called "not attractive enough"? While there are certain minimum levels of effort expected by society, like grooming yourself, a rejection should never be taken to mean anything intrinsic about yourself. This is easier said than done sometimes but you got to remind yourself this over and over and over. While she might be attractive to you, just because you're not attractive to her doe…

Bottom line is that if you feel its affecting your life negatively and you can't seem to figure out how to deal (no shame in that), go look into your school's counseling program (medical, not academic, usually free, go to the health clinic and see what they offer). Just start there.

Just reading this gave me angst. Proves I need to work on my inner game more. This kind of scenario is one of the things I know I don't yet handle well and I don't really know how to handle it better in the future, aside from choosing a different venue, which feels like a cop out sometimes.

You don't find social interaction rewarding, and either don't care, or do care. It is perfectly acceptable for you to not care about socializing, so you should consider letting yourself off the hook and truly just be "ok" doing your own thing. That isn't to say that in the future you won't be more interested later, but for now, just go easy on yourself, and figure out what you do actually like doing. I've been there, and sort of still am. Socialization takes work for me, and more often than not …

No, not that you lied about the conversation, just that the dynamic between you and the girl is a little more artificial, since you both claim to know that you won't be hooking up (and know that the other is aware of this). So she can say anything she wants to you in order to get your attention and energy, because there is no real risk to her (hence the cage comment). I think what people are saying is that while the point stands in general to keep your frame or whatever it should be called, your…

A girl is going to tell her friends about her okcupid date that didn't end up as a love interest, and it would be easy to have that outcome happen as "hes kinda awkward" if he "fucks it up like usual". He can't fuck it up like usual, he has to make a new friend. Or else her friends aren't going to be interested either.
/r/seduction21/09/11 12:14 PM

No, the article was saying that the advice given by pua's (it generalizes) works on women already open to one night stands (i'm generalizing). So it claims that you're not going to pick up all the girls, the advice is geared towards getting the girls who are interested in the first place.

You're best bet is to go find out yourself from him if hes just flirting or if you and he are interested in something more. Here, guys are told to push the issue until the girl tells you its a no go (and along the way they learn how to push while minimizing the opportunities to push too hard and blow out..so...). So go do the same, unless you just want another friend, right?

Well to be honest, how successful were you before you read it. If you read it late, then thats almost a validation of the material, as judging by your posts, if you didn't see much in the way of eye opening material from it, then it must be addressing the proper concerns. Obviously, if you listened to it before you considered yourself more successful, then something else worked for you. Or did I miss something.

And guys, we ALL have a passion for women. It’s hardwired into us. It’s a matter of opening yourself up to it. I have the biggest problem with this. I think I'm still afraid of something. Thank you. I'm pretty good at reading myself in hindsight, but I'm pretty bad about handling myself when I get caught up in the moment. I blew myself out on purpose because I figured if she wasn't interested in flirting over text, she likely wasn't going to be interested face to face. This is an assumption that again, in hindsight, I probably should have attempted to prove or disprove. Actually, come to think about it, its more like I chickened out. Yea, Thanks. At the risk of sounding really flaky, the night showed me that I'm the only one standing in the way of me having fun, I talked it out and got over it. The girl group I got picked from (I was told later) are all really stuck up bitches. That shouldn't matter, but it did help me realize that their reaction had nothing to do with me, and will help me to see why it makes no sense to beat myself up for no reason.

I appreciate your examples about winging better. I guess I'll have to practice more to get a better feel for these situations. I felt like I pulled the roofie joke off, she seemed to laugh and continue it, I probably put too much pressure on her about the dancing and it came off weird. I really appreciate your feedback.

The last song was Johnny B Goode, jamming out to it hard, when an hb8 next to me starts chatting me up. Apparently she'd been talking and making out with the guy who was giving me advice from earlier in the night. He looked in bad shape, and since she noticed our tshirt theme, assumed we knew each other, so she starts asking me about him. Her tone told me that she wasn't sure about him, she had some hangups. I know I suck at these things, I've never really winged for anyone, much less done it on…

Yes! But I think that the idea here is that we need to be smart and realize not that we are jealous because there is a threat that must be prevented, there is a weakness in ourselves that needs to be strengthened, we fear the results of the activity that makes us jealous, but the real question isn't how do we limit the activity, but how to we handle our fear.

Well, it almost sounds like you have your answer. Unless you're speculating. I'd say ask yourself what YOU want, and then weigh here. Not to turn this into r/relationshipadvice but, if you're looking for a fling and shes not, then find someone who is? If you want a relationship, she doesn't sound interested?

Maybe they are misinterpreting your stories as examples of behavior that have impressed you, and as they become attracted to you they feel the need to top those and grab your attention.

if you've only had sex once, there's a dozen things that could mentally turn you off, and to boot, if you already aren't attracted to her, well christ. I doubt you've got any physiological problem.

Sure, I need to hit the gym, dress better, groom better, tackle my fear of rejection, but I guess I don't know what I have in me that will encourage me to advertise myself like this. Endings have an ending, which when the field is that small narrows your choices into moves that will get you to the end, or which will allow your opponent to escape. Thank you for your post. I would like to ask a question of the OP and others reading this thread. On point 8. I'm unable to reconcile what the proper response from the guy should be. To take this out of context, if the girl is going to go off and talk up some other people, how does coming to include himself in the conversation demonstrate that he does not need her interaction to have fun? It seems like if he were going to demonstrate that, he'd do so by going up and talking to other people and i…

My first instinct is to call bullshit on that. On the contrary, what is there to gain from telling a woman that you find her sexy regardless of the fact that she told you she has a boyfriend? She either is telling a lie, and continuing to pursue her probably isn't going to work, or shes telling the truth (Either way, seriously, how many times does a girl mention boyfriend but still go home with the guy).
