Like many ladies mentioned like attracts like. So someone introverted, empathetic, having a good degree and job in STEM, gym and fitness enthusiast (I love endurance sports and hiking and lifting would be nice to share those), reading books, self help and should NOT want kids. Yep, Imma die alone 😁

I value the exact same things as you and I'm 25 and I am unsure if I will come across an HVM ever. I am trying to be happy by myself and slowly getting out of the conditioning that you need men to be happy but damn sometimes I still get lonely and an LVM looks enticing. Why is there such a dearth of good men? Are they all taken? Sometimes I wonder if its me. How do you reconcile that this is systemic rather than personal and the idea that one might never come across an HVM?

Oh my God I feel terribly for your friend, these thing really can do long lasting damage yo one's self esteem. Like the reason he didn't like me enough was because of my small tits. I can relate to this. My ex constantly looked at women of a certain physical characteristic when we were together, like conspicuously, as if he was announcing it without really doing it. Thankfully I dumped him and when I had the urge to change myself through surgery I stopped myself and got therapy instead. Which is…

100% agreed, same with my parents. My mother is SAHM and I never once saw my mother having to ask for me. That's an extremely alien concept to me, you're sharing literally everything but money is where the man draws the line?

I know right it's like 50 bucks. The thing is men who just pick the after shave that's closest to them in the store won't even understand how heartbreaking this is.

Male validation is like an illicit drug So true. Reminds me about something Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie speaks about in "We should all be feminists", We raise girls to see each other as competitors Not for jobs or for accomplishments Which I think can be a good thing But for the attention of men And boy do men abuse this. One of the guys I dated ALWAYS said how me being Conservative with my choices (aka not sleeping on the first few date) was so refreshing, "so much better than the other girls". An…

This is SO true. Something my mother perpetuates too with her toxic femininity. Constantly growing up she reminded me how women have to always sacrifice, to "keep her man". I'm still unlearning years of brainwashing. It's extremely hard but will be worth it. Keep at it ladies.

As someone who was in a toxic relationship at 20 that lasted three years too long, I felt deja Vu reading this. Sis, the only regret I have is I didn't end it after one year. I am thankful for you to have found FDS now and I had found it then. Listen to the queen advice here and please end it.

This just happened to me this evening in the metro. A man kept looking at me, very conspicuously and when I looked at him to meet his eyes, he smiled rather than divert his face as if he wanted me to know he was looking "on purpose". After two stops, as he gets up to leave he finally looks away to his other side -- to help his pregnant wife/gf up. Damn men are just awful.

I love B99 it's so funny and different in the sense it combines my two favorite genres, crime and comedy. Honestly, I love Jake and his sense of humor but he's sometimes too immature for a 30 something, you know. Especially for Amy, who's so incredibly conscientious and mature. I feel like it'll be hard to raise a family with a man who himself refuses to grow up. Terry is very truly an HVM, you're right. The very contrast to him are Scully and Hitchcock. In one episode, and this helped me unders…

It's so unfortunate but true, women are nothing but numbers to them. Vessels to get their dicks wet in. Or keep them around for convenience sake as emotional outhouses. So you shouldn't feel bad about looking at them as dinner opportunities :))

This is something I struggle with a lot. This nagging feeling that something is wrong. Unfortunately I have trained myself for 20+ years to ignore it. And everytime I did ignore it, it came and bit me in the ass. And the worst part is I tend to dress obvious red flags as yellow ones (aka giving him the benefit of doubt). Please don't. A man you met some days/ weeks ago is 100% a stranger. He does not deserve your trust. HONOR YOUR INTUITIONS over him. Your intuitions have been with you for your …

Omg I have noticed it too! Even if they have good jobs, they have no ambition to do better. For eg, because they were intelligent they got into a good university and consequently got a well paying job but then they are content with it. Not looking for the "next best thing" because they are constantly occupied with breaking down "mixed signals" from men lol. Funny how much time gets cleared out when you live by "if he wanted to he would"!

I honestly find it incredibly difficult to find someone on my level, atleast on OLD. They either have a lesser degree or lesser job (sorry don't mean it in a condescending way) and definitely don't meet me on level with my hobbies / working out / discipline. It's rather despondent out there so I totally relate to what you're saying. It indeed is lonely on the top. I am so sorry it happened to you. My toxic ex, who I was in a relationship with for the longest would coerce me to do anal all the time until one time he slipped in "by mistake" and endlessly gaslit me. He would push my boundaries physically all the time under the guise of "I am just SO attracted to you I can't help myself". I have had guys do this a lot, unfortunately because the above was my first relationship, it has disillusioned me into thinking, if a guy is physically into you, he won't …

Can I add something to this? I have been doing some inner work and I have realised that growing up a lot of stock was put into looks. I grew up insecure about my nose, my arms, my thighs because my mother viciously pointed out the defects in me and sort of alluded to how no man would find me attractive because my nose isn't narrow enough (she's a very sweet lady otherwise and I believe it was genuine concern from her side that she said so). Anyways, I have worked hard on everything I can control…

Male, 30, big biceps but delusional about height (I think I am 3" taller than I actually am). Surely that doesn't matter because I can impress you with my house, job and blatant lack of personality? I am the man and I love guns and beer and sports. Looking for a trophy wife, education immaterial because she'll have to eventually stay at home and raise my kids. I don't think women should have the right to vote and I as a white male am the actual disadvantaged class of society and have it the toug…

I am curious, as someone who recently moved to a new (big) city as well, and refuses to get back on OLD, how did you get asked out aka where did you meet guys? I am pretty introverted so my hobbies outside work include the gym or reading at home lol.

WOW you're right, it's time I learnt to draw boundaries with women. They can be as toxic as men. As feeding into the patriarchy as men themselves.

Oh my gosh, I felt the exact same way speaking to her, like I was some kind of traditionalist prude. Infact when I told her I get emotionally attached to men after sex she explains how I have to be stronger and separate my feelings from my hormones and "get back out there". It's weird for me to accept because I met her through her brother who's like the epitome of HVM, he's an exceptional collegue with great work ethics, a great husband and even a better father. You're right. Her ex boyfriend who she broke up with weeks before meeting this guy, bought a flat (obviously without her name on the deed) but she helped him decorate and renovate the whole place and then they broke up "mutually". So I shouldn't speak with her because she is indeed making me question my standards.

I read this post too and it absolutely broke my heart. Imagine reading this after 30 years of being in what you imagined to be a healthy, loving, respected relationship. This man is absolutely immature and frankly a coward. Posts like this make me absolutely terrified of being with a man, let alone marry them and bear their children.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy27/02/22 11:21 AM

THAT is the thing, the double standards. Women must look pretty and hot. Men can look like "dad's". These are the men who then divorce/cheat on their wives for actually having a baby and going through a mother f-ing pregnancy. Double standards.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy27/02/22 08:16 AM

They make demands and we respect them. They set boundaries and we respect that. But wait for a woman to make demands.... Men will try to get what they want. Wow truer words haven't been spoken.

Oh ofcourse not, I agree with you. I wish people in general weren't shallow, because looks fade. It's just the dichotomy that bothers me that it's socially acceptable for men to be visual while women are actively trained to not be.

This is a great perspective. I was under the impression that "you make him wait for 6 months" but NO! It's you that's doing the waiting, not him. YOU wait until YOU are sure he's the one. This is such a shift in power balance. Thanks for sharing!

The unfortunate part is a lot of these scrotes STILL operate with receding hairline. I question how devastatingly society fails those women who choose to sleep with these men so they think they can continue to act like this. The EXACT same thing happened to me, the guy and I literally shared same values he even said he doesn't want to rush into anything and sex is better in a relationship (I made it a point to NEVER say I was waiting for ANY kind of commitment to have sex). But after 2 months of me not sleeping with him, mask dropped and so did he (citing very similar reasons as yours). Oof that's a tough one, infact women aren't adviced to do it since it takes next to nothing to please a man. But I have seen several such cases happen when guys didn't mind no. If he's really into you and thinks you're the one, he would surely not mind waiting because marriage will be in his radar anyway!

This is amazing, thank you for sharing! I totally got that introverted energy so I wouldn't enjoy doing a lot of things that "help you come in the same circles as men". But the hobbies that I do have, I can still run into guys there and that is even better because then we'll genuinely have something in common, and wouldn't take up a lot of energy unnecessarily! The thing about women talking is great advice, hadn't considered it! I wish you all the best as well! ❤️

I felt really bad for her, especially in the end when she says, how three guys did her dirty. It sucks, doesn't it? Every time a guy flat out lies to you or disrespects you? Even if you don't sleep with them and they leave, I still can't help but take it personally, imagine how worse it'll be to have slept with them. It makes me lose all hope of actually finding a decent man.

I can't even. I'm inclined to say, the majority of men on OLD be it hinge or tinder are like this. Either they simply don't care OR they don't (can't) care about the women THEY MEET ON OLD. Men are sick -- they lack empathy to a degree that is concerning.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/02/22 01:00 PM

I understand, I had the same belief as you until a couple weeks ago. But I don't get ANY men worth rooster dating either, that match my standards that is. I would swipe for 1-2 hours each day AND probably have 1/2 profiles to swipe right on. It's wasted effort for me. I could spend those hours in other activities to get better returns. If it works for you, I wish you all the best!! But it's not for me.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/02/22 06:43 PM
25

Exactly!! There's no game. The cost of sex should never be zero for men, they will not only not appreciate that (and consequently you) but rather begun resenting you for making it easy for them.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/02/22 06:37 PM
44

I wish ALL women would join FDS AND boycott the apps. Casual sex is a SCAM for women.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/02/22 06:35 PM

Literally not once. In the beginning they appear may "different" and I'm almost considering "well may be OLD isn't that bad" and every single time they show their true colors sooner or later.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/02/22 06:35 PM
43

Totally!! I mean where is the game? When the woman swipes right on a guy she has already shown her interest (and in the man's eyes, given consent too?) It takes away ALL the fun of the chase. And Gid forbid if you swiped before and the man knows that, he'll pretty much match with you for convenience sake and to sleep with you one time, in his head doing God's work for us.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/02/22 06:33 PM

You're so right, it's sorting through trash -- you might get a nickel or even a dollar once in a while but you will undoubtedly get dirty.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/02/22 06:29 PM

This 100%. Dating apps >> free prostitution. The cost of sex should NEVER be made 0. I hope more women understand that.

You can say something to the effects of, "I am sensing some confusion from your end and that's totally fine but I think I will need some space because I really feel like I need to be treated better than that!". Just never give them the power to feel like they need to be pursued/ chased because trust me, no man deserves that.

Hahaha oh thank you, thank you for saying that! I keep thinking wondering if he's relieved I didn't say anything mean/nasty but eh, I don't care! I'll definitely post it if he does re-enter my life but it's highly unlikely, but if he does, I'll be sure to make him feel worse!

Girl believe me, I'm the same way, I'm not assertive either in the sense I should have ended it with him when I was having doubts (I just kept thinking "may be"). I suppose it's something society teaches women to be. Thank you for saying that, I love to see us ladies pulling ourselves up with our bootstraps as these men who are clearly beneath us disrespect us. And growing from it. Can you imagine the strength it takes? We as women can do this, I'd like to see a man handle a rejection like us. H…

Oh wow I didn't even see it. You're right the way he kept saying "but you are looking for an LTR, right? I'm open to it, but the slowing down really got me thinking". Hah! "You're Open to it"?! Bitch if you're not absolutely excited about it, you can keep walking on! It's as if he wanted me to say "no let's keep seeing each other and see where it goes!" Damn, thanks I hadn't blocked him yet but now will block him.

Thank you so much. FDS has honestly helped me like no women figure in my life has (unfortunately all of them have been pick mes). Past me would have been single and devasted after a call like this, now I'm single and relieved! Honestly, FDS taught me it's all about self preservation in this world -- look after yourself, every thing else is secondary. Forever signed up for this!!

Oh my God are you me from the past! Thank you for sharing your experience, I'll be on high alert -- one more week (this is week 7 lol) , if commitment doesn't come up, I'm cutting my losses!

Oh WOW this is amazing! And you know, even if he does assume we are waiting for a relationship, you NEVER have sex immediately after getting into one. Wait I'd say atleast a month to see if he's keeping up his efforts or if his mask falls. Do other couple stuffs (like meeting friends) BEFORE having sex. If a man is ACTUALLY serious about you, he wouldn't mind waiting at all. Infact he'll appreciate it.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy07/02/22 08:45 PM

THIS and it's SO much easier for men to put on muscles compared to women because of the testosterone -- they can just increase their calories and lift weights ffs. It's not that hard, the latter (I do it too). AND women can't do this because they'll put on fat if they increased their calories. Stop equating women having abs with men having abs. 🤦🏾‍♀️

Oh my god, you're right! I am having like house dates (like go back to my place) after dinner the last 3 times. The excuse was it's too cold outside these days. THAT'S why I'm falling for him, the physical closeness even if it's not sex. Thank you! I'll ask him to come up with date ideas that can be done in public during the winter .

Thank you, just to add I am 25 and he's 30. I would like to get married someday certainly and from what I've been told him as well. EDIT: I'm curious. Why did I get down voted for this, is it the age gap?

Thank you, I agree I am probably just getting too attached to this guy. In your opinion, what is a reasonable timeline to expect a guy to ask you to be exclusive? I mean after which you should just cut your losses and move on?

My ex during college was a narcissist, he never let me break up with him, he would harass me and my friends until I gave in. I moved out of the country after finishing my masters, almost as a way to get away from this guy. A year later he reaches out from a new number and says he's visiting my country as a tourist so can I let him crash at my place and show him around. 🤡 Anytime I get a text from an unknown number I worry it's him. I agree with a lot of comments here that day dirty talk doesn't have to be demeaning at all. Sometimes when the guy says how hot I look or how much something I am doing is turning him on is extremely hot imo. I do enjoy if the guy can verbalise his passion. But the moment it gets derogatory, I'm dry as the desert and out of the door.

This. THIS! I am a woman and I get a few matches in months that are actually WORTH going on a second date with. May be 2 in 6 months. And I'm not complaining because THAT is the nature of population in general, you wouldn't meet tons of people you find attractive and they find YOU attractive and you're compatible. And just because you're on OLD the sample space wouldn't magically change. God, these men, rather than taking everything personally and crushing their little egos with, if they just fo…

I am happy you found it useful, we women are often so agreeable that we try to avoid conflicts and accept wrong behavior that we'd never perpetuate ourselves. We must stop doing that!

Oh my gosh, it's SUCH a common thing. And you see, these men are teaching us to now look for heights before going on a date. There was a possibility, we would have chosen them otherwise had they not blatantly chosen to lie or even omitted that info. Thankfully we are out before we got more involved.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/01/22 11:16 AM

You're right! And such men do exist, just gotta weed through a lot of Z/LVMs to get there.

I totally agree with you. He and I had a lot of common interests but I had a majority of those interests listed on my profile, who is to say he is not faking it? I am questioning everything he told me and I can't be with someone I can't trust.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/01/22 11:11 AM
107

Exactly. I wish the guy hadn't lied, I'd still have picked him.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/01/22 10:45 AM
129

Exactly. Height is such an inconsequential part of you, it's not even a figment of your personality unless you kae it as such. Women wouldn't even care if men didn't blatantly make it a thing of their ego. For eg, from now on I'll closely screen what height a man lists on his profile and if he didn't match it, immediately end the date. Thank you for taking advantage of my trusting nature and feeding into your insecurity to create the self fulfilling prophecy, guy.

This made me cringe so much. I feel like not being intimate with the wife and then showing the smallest semblance of sexual interest (having a wet dream about your SO shouldn't be this rare of a deal, right?) is an obvious manipulative technique. Imagine accepting he played you and then proceeding to "give him the best BJ of his life". Girl, wake up.

Omg thank you for this -- it happened to me very recently. I went on a first date with this guy who at the pretext of helping me cross the road put his hand on the small of my back. Then he proceeded to touch my knee casually while making conversations. I am very very averse to being touched to I imediately communicated my discomfort. unbeknownst to that, he completely took me offgaurd and kissed me on my lips and I thankfully pulled away in time before he could stuck his tongue out -- he litera…

I understand I'm too late to this conversation but I had been going through this dilemma myself and wanted to scroll through past FDS posts. I wonder, how has your experience been asking men about their sizes? Do they get defensive or say some rude (as they usually do about their heights). Overall, would you still recommend waiting?

Wow this makes sense, thank you!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/12/21 02:15 PM

Id say it was his idea. The pick me in me was like, "let's split" and he said "not at all, thank you for offering but I will take care of it".
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/12/21 02:14 PM

This means not to offer either right? It makes me slightly uncomfortable when I don't (pick me habits I guess)

Omg yes. Happened to me a month ago, a male "friend" sold his LVM friend so hard on me, the guy was literally 10 years older to me, out of shape, smoker and I went on a date in which he violated my boundaries (trying to get physical). Needless to say, I am not friends with the former guy anymore and I'm never getting set up.

Now, so far in my 24 years I hadn't had ANY male friend who'd make me comfortable enough to hang out with them in such close setting but this guy is exceptionally HV. I totally believe he'll make a great BF or husband for some woman. There is no awkwardness with him at all, and I'm actually rather blessed to have met him!! GIRL, please read the book before jumping into dating game again, it'll blow your mind! You'll realize with the amount of success we women have, we don't need men, they need us. We must navigate the dating game keeping this in mind. Fuck the guy who "doesn't want to put labels" (not literally, ofcourse!). Know your price and ask it unabashedly! All the best!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy08/12/21 05:53 PM

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy08/12/21 05:38 PM

Oh I totally agree with you, it's very subjective! But I thought this would spark an interesting discussion nevertheless, you know to understand what women at large are expect from men!

Men at large! It's so weird, we think men think like us but fucking hell they don't! This book is blowing my mind.

After giving it much thought, I came up with: I would want a partner who would take care of all my needs and respect me (aka a healthy marriage). I would want stellar professional growth and have the men around me (I work in a male dominated field) respect me for my talent and the work I put in (so I don't need to work extra hard to prove my worth). I am an artist and would love to kickstart my passion on the side and I'll probably need help though I'm not exactly sure how.

Oh wow that's such an interesting perspective! You are right, men are inherently incapable of forming meaningful relationships, I feel like this is why women have more impetus to succeed, if we are assertive and less self sacrificial, don't you think? It is an interesting line of thought, thank you for pointing it out!
